    The large margarita...
    Sara B.

There are two Los Tres Caminos locations in Peru, so it appears some of the photos and reviews here are actually for the other location on Main Street. I have been to this location on Broadway three times over the past 2+ years, and while I'm not completely impressed, it IS much better than the Main Street "mini mall" location with deep stores and long hallways where the old Kroger used to be. I've definitely had better fajitas elsewhere in Indy, etc. for a better price, but I have also, admittedly, had far worse once upon a time. These are heavy on the bell peppers, onion, and cooked tomatoes with not as many mushrooms as you might expect. Decent portion, but at around $11, I feel it's always been too highly priced. I paid $6-7 in Indy. Their foil wrapped flour tortillas are good. I can make much better guacamole myself at home, but it's okay as a side combined with other flavors, just not as an appetizer alone with chips. The rice is good but different from any other Spanish or Mexican rice I've had elsewhere because of the addition of peas and carrots. Oddly pale refried beans last visit but tasted alright. The salsa isn't consistent with heat from visit to visit. The Tapatio on the table is a familiar favorite though I don't use much these days. I didn't try the habanero sauce. I've been told the white queso is good. I think it's a bit pricey at over $3 for a tiny bowl. It's not something I'd try anyway. For some reason, the margaritas here are better than the ones on Main Street as well. A different mix being used perhaps? But again, I can make far, far better. Somewhat off flavor. Needs more lime juice?? Not a super fresh lime garnish. Not enough salt on the rim at all. Do NOT get the large unless you have hours to kill. Not only is it the size of a fishbowl, it's too expensive at $11. I didn't realize how huge or expensive it was going to be when I ordered and had instant regret once I saw it. I wish I'd just gotten a beer. This location has slightly better ambiance. The staff are on about the same level of average service at both until my last visit here. The waiter, whom my friend and I both tipped generously on separate checks because he had been attentive, maybe even overly so, had the audacity to ask if she was my mom on our way out after we paid. I have no idea if he even understood how rude that was. I learned a long time ago in hospitality, bar, and food service, as well as in life in general, you never make assumptions about anyone's age nor relationship. I hadn't been in about a year. It's okay, but I wouldn't rush to return unless desperate for a place to sit and eat. There are absolutely no good options nor variety in Peru. If for some reason you are thinking of moving here and like to eat, DONT. Sadly, this IS the best restaurant option in town that I've found. I might have given three stars, as I may have been able to let all the other critiques slide, but that last waiter had some real nerve after receiving a 35% tip, so his offensiveness tipped the star scales down. I have buyer's remorse for sure and wish I'd just stayed home. My bathroom is nicer, too.

The service is good, the portions are acceptable, the store appeared clean, the food isn't particularly special, perhaps it was a bit unseasoned overall. It was just A-OK, I'd go again, maybe look for something a bit more like an dinner, not a lunch burrito, and ask about seasoning or some chilies.

Great Mexican food. Service quick, beer cold and atmosphere good. Do you like hot sauce? They have different kinds and can get spicy.

Love it. Everything is wonderful. Sometimes my chicken quesadilla is too soggy though! And the guacamole too watery. Other than that great.
