I originally was going to get the taco combo plate, which comes with three tacos, Mexican rice, and beans, but the meat choices were chicken or beef, so instead I did three a la carte tacos with chicken, carnitas, and steak. The steak one was my favorite of the three. They were topped with raw onions and cilantro, and served with some grilled onions that were on the side. The tortillas themselves were traditional corn tortillas. My boyfriend got a burrito with steak and chicken, which was topped with shrimp and served with queso, and he said it was very good too. We also all split a pitcher of frozen margaritas which were good, and you can choose flavors too although we just did traditional lime. We did have to ask for glasses of water a few times, which is not a big deal. Overall the food and drinks here were tasty, though.

I'm in from Southern California after my dad's funeral at Marion National (RIP dad) I tried to find…read morea restaurant that could handle a dozen people easily, and unannounced for a late lunch. As fearful as I was about getting Mexican food in Indiana, Casa Brava's pics, menu, and beer list pulled me in. "But it's in a Starbucks parking lot," said my sister. I peeked in, said "doce" in Spanish to the host, and two lovely ladies got busy putting tables together and quickly equipping them with warm chips and fresh salsa. Being Indiana, I still played it safe and went with asada tacos, complete with thinly-shaved onion, cilantro, and juicy limes just like back home. The meat was fully marinated and dripping with flavor. My side of frijoles, just like they are at every Sonora spot in my neighborhood. The 24-oz Modelo was fresh and went down way too easy. They were even nice enough to snap some group photos. If you want a little taste of Mexico while in Marion, Indiana, Casa Brava is your spot.

Well... i'm from out of town, doing some work here. A couple days ago, I went through the…read moredrive-through and order a burrito bowl. It was pretty good and a generous portion size. So... Last night, I decided to dine in. I have a service animal. He's a toy miniature Australian Shepherd. When I went into the restaurant, I ordered a burrito, chips and salsa and a drink. The manager, Becky, came out and told me that since I had a dog, I had to eat on the patio. I told her that he was a service animal. She said it didn't matter. I told her she should look up the law. She said she knows the law. I started recording her. I explained it again, that she could get the restaurant in trouble that she should look it up. She told me she did look it up. I have that on video. She was very sarcastic. To avoid further confrontation, I went to the patio. It was very dimly lit. I could barely see my food. I noticed a couple young employees came to the window and looked at me while smirking at me. It was very embarrassing. I decided to pull up the wall, on my phone and try to reason with Becky. I screenshot my findings, and went back into the store. I went in without my service animal. Even after I showed her the law, she simply said, "well, that's what I was told". I explained to her that I gave her a chance to look up the law. She said she did. She contradicted herself. I talk loud, because I have substantial hearing loss. So... Some kid tells me I have to leave because he's going to de-escalate the situation. He was just a worker and had no business interjecting in our conversation anyway. As I walked out, I noticed a very well dressed lady that had supplies in her vehicle. I asked her if she was the owner. She was. I told her what had happened, and she seemed to be empathetic. She actually said that she don't know what the problem is, because they also own a store in Peru and that dogs are welcome to come in and eat with their family. I told her that I was so embarrassed, I couldn't even eat my food. She didn't even offer a refund. We did exchange phone numbers, and now I wait to hear. I did send her the video. I actually have two videos of the manager and one of the owner. Recorded where the owner said that they don't have a problem with dogs coming into their restaurants. She didn't even mention service animals. Sad part... That was kicked out of another establishment just a couple days ago, for the same thing. Moon Dog. Pretty ironic that a police with, "dog", in their title would not allow a service animal. I'm adding a photo to show my service animal.
