Delicious taste! This is one of my top Mexican restaurants. The food is delish and portions are large for a person. Their service was warm and comfortable. Their inside ambiance is great. This is business casual and family friendly as well. They are located in this strip mall on the main road that does not look appealing. But don't judge the book by its cover. This is a gem inside that unappealing strip mall. Parking can be done inside the little strip area and there's plenty of lots available. They have a wide variety of vegetarian options available. The service was great and the ambience was okay. My carnitas was a little drier than I'm used to, the portion size and presentation was good, tho. Good thing to know before you go is they charge an extra fee if you don't pay with cash. I don't believe they have bar or serve alcohol so not the stop if you're craving a margarita. We came here based on the Yelp reviews and I'm so glad we did. We are new to the area and were hoping to find a great Mexican restaurant. We need not look any further. We were warmly greeted and quickly seated. I ordered a small strawberry margarita and I'm glad I ordered the small because it was huge. My husband ordered the regular size and it was even bigger. They were yummy. For my entree I ordered a grilled chicken breast in an iron skillet with mushrooms and bacon and cheese sauce. So so good. It came with a side of guacamole and beans and rice. I have a soft spot in my heart for Casa Brava - it was my go-to TexMex food place when I went to college. We had a location down in Bloomington and it was the bomb! The food was delicious and the service was beyond good. Even after I graduated I would drive the 60 mins from Indy to go back and eat there. Sadly, it closed a few years back. Naturally, when we were visiting family here in Marion and we drove past this Casa Brava I was so excited. I've been here multiple times now and I am ready to say that it's not great. It's very much "mid" as the kids say. The place is beautiful and the portions are big but the food and service leave a lot to be desired for. I don't think our server ever smiled at us. He did his job but it was bare minimum effort and energy. I had the chicken fajitas and the biggest issue is how bland everything is. It looks good but the taste just doesn't match it. The fajitas also had so much oil resting in the bottom of the hot skillet. The chips and salsa... obviously store bought chips, a bit stale, and the salsa is nothing but tomato pure. This was probably the last chance I give this location :( read more

Beautiful modern latin inspired cultural atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and hard working, they really take care of you and keep the place clean. Every time I've been here I always see someone running the sweeper. The drinks are delicious and come in big glasses, love that. You really get your money's worth here with big portions and yummy food. They even have a kids menu that has things for the less adventurous kids, like hot dogs (it's called the caliente Perro on the menu lol thought that was too cute of them). Update: They have really gotten better with time. It has been a while since we've visited and they have since came out with a new menu. The Fiesta Burrito is an updated version of the Burrito Maya, which I came to like. The portions are huge and I would now recommend this Mexican restaurant. Solid 4 star restaurant. Decor is great. Food was fantastic. I ordered the taco adobo with a side of limes, tomatillo, and avocado. Very good and flavorful. Would highly recommend that combo. I knocked a star off because $16 for 3 tacos and a side of avocado is rather pricey in my opinion. I'm used to the same order being around $10. Also, the waiter forgot my beans which isn't a big deal. He could have checked on me more as far as filling my water. Not really a big deal. I came for tacos. Not water. If I ever come through Marion again, I'll definitely be stopping here again. These were some of the best tacos I've had outside of Texas and California. I'd recommend this place for sure. read more

I just paid 87 bucks to get some bs attitude thrown at me and watch my family eat. This was my first and last visit. Ordered take away and was missing an item. I called to let them know, the man that answered the phone was yelling back and forth with kitchen staff and rudely argued with me that I didn't order what I was missing. Ordered take out. We ordered nachos, chimichanga, a cheese quesadilla, and extra chips and salsa. My husband brought it home to find that my chimichanga had red sauce on top instead of cheese. Best Tex Mex place I've ever had! And it's so unfortunate that this place is located in Indiana and I reside in NYC! Total bummer! I visited my sister and brother in law a few weeks ago in September of this year and this was the first restaurant we ate at on my stay. My brother in law orders himself the steak fajitas and was kind enough to offer me a taste. I am usually skeptical when it comes to eating steak at restaurants because I absolutely hate biting into a chewy piece of fat! But to my lovely surprise, it appeared that the fat was trimmed off entirely and the steak was cooked to perfection and deliciously seasoned! My sister orders the salmon which is her go to at any and every restaurant she eats at. I did not get to try her fish but she had no complaints and from where I was sitting it looked great on the plate. Lastly I ordered chicken Tacos, which I normally don't do at any restaurant because I hate soft shell, but if I am remembering correctly these tacos had the option of hard shell. You better believe these tacos were downright the best I have ever had in any restaurant I have ever visited! Wow! The flavors were explosive, I really was in a great mood after that meal. Unfortunately I do not live anywhere nearby but I do know that the next time I am visiting my sister and brother in law first spot will be this place again! Great lunch at Casa Brava. We had the Steak Fajitas. The steak was extremely tender and cooked just right. The tomatoes and onions were fresh and the shredded cheese was very moist and delicious. The refried beans were also well prepared. The wraps were soft and well made. The chips were warm and crisp and the salsa was mild as we requested. Our servers were excellent and extremely attentive. This is one of the best Mexican Restaurants I have been too. Extremely clean and the tables and chairs and decor were very nice. The food was brought out real quick and hot. I was with a large group who had traveled one hour and forty-five minutes one way for a one-hour meeting and faced another one hour and forty-five-minute drive back to Lafayette. One of our wonderful guests at the Ivy Tech Marion campus recommended this place, and it was certainly a good choice. I called ahead to let them know that a large crowd was coming in about 20 minutes and the guy who answered the phone said, "Cool, man." So I guess we were cool. We arrived a bit ahead of the Noon lunch rush so getting enough seating was not a problem, but over the time we were there the place filled up fast. Obviously, this is a local favorite. I had the Marias Enchiladas that features four enchiladas one each chicken, beef, beans, and cheese smothered in a delicious brown sauce and heaped with lettuce, a tomato slice, and a generous dollop of sour cream. It was a lot to eat, but I ate it all. Everyone in our party loved the food and we had a great time. And there is a Starbucks a short walk from the restaurant for an after-lunch latte. Great Mexican restaurant for a small college town. This was one of my "go-to's" in college for nicer food (definitely an upgrade from Taco Bell). The complimentary chips and salsa are always welcomed. My favorite dish was the quesadilla rellena. The service was always pretty good, though it was often very busy on weekends, especially Sunday brunch. Whenever I am back in Marion, this is still one my favorite spots to chow down. It is a sister restaurant to La Charreada, which is down the road a few miles. The menu is very similar, but the feel of that location is a bit more authentic Mexican, whereas Casa Brava is more of an updated and modern aesthetic. I would definitely recommend to any students or residents that have yet to experience the delicious food they provide. read more

Come on folks, let be a little more discriminating. There is nothing on this menu that isn't on another good Mexican restaurant's menu. The margueritas are good...not phenomenal. Can I just say how pleased I am to have found this place in Marion? We are lucky enough to have had authentic, home-cooked Mexican food a few times with some friends, and I am very pleased with how well Casa Brava represents the genre. The salsa is fresh, not too cilantro-heavy, and not too spicy for those who don't do spicy, but still tasty and with fresh chips. Excellent queso dip - again, milder, but with flavor. Have tried several dishes outside the standard chicken or beef burrito/taco/enchilada list and always been happy. Delicious chile colorado, very good fish tacos and other seafood based dishes, plenty of dishes with some heat from the chorizo or the sauces. Atmosphere is modern and open, though nothing special, and can be a little cramped and public feeling if you get the wrong table. Wait staff if prompt and courteous, and the best ones can give good advice on the menu. Prices are reasonable for this area, especially for the quality of the food. If you like authentic, with a large mix of traditional Tex-Mex dishes and some more unusual authentic ones, you can't go wrong here. read more
