Terrible service from the so-called manager.Ask3d him to come over to look at the tacos, told tacos were poorly made and he threatened to call the pol8ce. Los Tres Amigos - Food served with almost no meat - Mexican Near Me - Owosso, Michigan

We entered 30 minutes before closing and they wouldn't seat us, said the kitchen was already closed

Okay so like I've never said this about another place I've ever been to In My Life. If I could give this negative Stars I would. I'm new to the area in Owosso but I'm originally from Mexico and I grew up 20 years in Chicago. Mexican food and Hispanic food in general has been a nearby staple my entire life and I have tried many many restaurants in different states and even different countries. In particular elote is one of those things that's a comfort. So I cannot properly voice how much disgust and disdain I had when I ordered a lot bit into it and it was just boiled corn rolled in sour cream with tajin on top. I nearly threw up and then proceeded to push that out from in front of me and tried to move on to the other dish I had ordered and I tried to bite into that and it was effectively filled with unspiced generic chicken stir fry I then tried to move on to the side of rice and somehow they even messed up the rice. I feel like I'm not the demographic for the area but I was disappointed immensely dissatisfied with my meal unable to finish it and even unwilling to take home The Leftovers to try and "fix" on my own time. I've never had an experience like that at a restaurant because they on purpose serve that. Someone thinks they can make money selling that. Somehow it's more expensive than authentic Mexican food. When I came in and sat down they actually didn't even bring me a drinks menu or mention any specials. I dearly hope that any other location underneath this franchise is in complete contrast. I hope someone can go in and fix this establishment. Don't eat here. I've never had food make me sad before. read more

Group of 15 and we had amazing service. We did make reservations. Avery was our server (she was amazing) and Jessie was manager (Very personable) and rolled his sleeves up to accommodate our group!. The restaurant was packed and the entire team of employees were working their butts off. We understand that with a party that big food takes time. Never been there before but highly recommend this place! read more

Food was not great. Service was even worse. Ambience wasn't great, but they had very cold beer!

Had to give an overdue review. Hands down one of the best if not the best Mexican restaurants in-town. The food is excellent in particular the fajitas! They go perfect with a delicious margarita. Yum! Theres no long waiting, food comes quick and the service is great. Loved the decor, It has a cozy and friendly vibe. Will definitely keep coming back again and again! read more

Los Tres is such a great place to dine, from the food to the atmosphere to the staff!! Avery was my server today and she was wonderful and attentive. The food was fantastic (as always) and the owner even stopped me at the door to make sure I had a great experience. 10/10 would recommend! read more

Have eaten here quite a few times in the past and have always had good experiences; until today. Ordered the lunch fajitas, I inquired about guacamole and was told there was no guacamole today, ok, no big deal. Food arrives fairly quickly (only 2 other patrons). I inquire as to the lettuce that comes with my order and was THEN informed that they have no lettuce today either. I would have ordered something else had I known that in advance. I then asked to have the meal discounted (not completely credited, just discounted, since they had no lettuce and no guacamole and was informed, by a manager, that "they don't do that". This is unacceptable service as well as bad customer relations and I will never be going back there and will inform friends and family not to go there in the future as well. (Why couldn't they walk across the parking lot to Walmart and get some lettuce for heaven's sake?!) read more

I'm in love with the food and the service, upon a first impression. An ounce of kindness and service and personality goes a long way. Kudos to our young waitress Sydney. This is the best most ambient date place in Owosso. read more

Stopped in while passing through. Was impressed with how clean it was. Service brought their A game. We hadn't finished our chips before our food was delivered to us. I had the burrito maya and it was delicious. I'm picky with chicken and the chicken was very good. All around a great experience and will definitely stop on our next trip through. read more

Been quite a few times and in general the food has been decent but the service is always spotty. Was there a week ago and nearly every single order of the four we had was wrong? Poorly cooked, poorly presented and absolutely zero flavor. Service was an abomination. Couldn't get the drink orders right and asked 3 different times for us to repeat what we wanted. Geezuz. I mean the quesadilla came out as a giant taco, no cheese and very little chicken. Taco shells were stale and it's like they tossed a soggy piece of lettuce with a wilted tomato on the side. I'll definitely go for the chips and salsa but that'll be about it for awhile. The owner is from LA I believe? You'd think that this place would be fabulous if that is the case. read more

Bruh I waited 40 minutes for shitty street corn that tasted like mold. Also wet burrito too wet for my liking.

When the food was brought to the table the server said the plate is very hot. When she was setting the plate on the table it was tipped and hot liquid from said plate fell on my leg resulting in a burn in several spots. Manager offered napkins at the time and server came back several minutes later and offered ice. Manager didn't seem to care, was rude and condescending, and made unnecessary snide comments when we were leaving. Would not recommend this establishment. read more

Service was slow and staff messed up our order we ordered no sauce on enchiladas and had to ask for sour cream twice. They brought me flour tortilla after informing I had to have corn due to an allergy, of course it only took 30 secs to get a remake in which instantly fell apart because it was microwaved they tried to double stack with 2 tortillas but it didn't work it crumbed and I ordered medium corn style. Then refused to make it according to my order There was one other customer besides me and my boyfriend and then shortly after a couple arrive equaling 5 people in the entire dining area. Stating they have alot going on but we could hear staff talking about Snapchat and their girlfriend. ABSOLUTELY WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. Very unprofessional read more

Amazing food and service great atmosphere. It is always fast and amazing even when it's super busy.

Restaurant itself was dirty lots of dust up on the ceiling. Food in orders took a long time, and when they finally did come out, they were Luke warm. Quesadilla was tiny and not filling. Also got chips and queso and the queso left a weird gross film feeling on my teeth. read more

How can you mess up Tacos? This place can and did. The Taco Salad was meh and HOW CAN YOU MESS UP TACOS. No seasoning at all and just meh. If you want to waste your money this place is for you read more

Good food and good service but the manager is very rude and very disrespectful to his staff.

My Mom and boyfriend love going to this restaurant. They even drive from Flushing to eat there and have a Margarita. Today they went and when they ordered a margarita they were carded. My Mom's license expired on her birthday in May. She can't get in to SOS until end of July due to COVID. So they wouldn't serve her even after asking the manager. Mind you my Mom and her boyfriend are both 86 years old. That is ridiculous! They will never go back there again after being a frequent customer. That's no way to treat the Elderly. read more

Mucho caliente!!! Definitely a home town favorite. It's a great place to curb your Spanish desires.. I strongly recommend Los tres amigos!

Meat was chewy and not cut up enough for our burritos. Great customer service but the food is blah

Used to be our favorite restaurant, but they have lost our business. They've been having issues getting, and keeping, servers since the new management took over but we have always looked past any snags as the food was good. Lately the manager on duty has been getting less and less friendly. Tonight he crossed the line into outright rudeness. With leadership like his I can see why they can't retain any help... read more

Since COVID we went out about 3 times. Los tres amigos Owosso mi. Watch out restaurant give you leftover meats in your meal, like my sour meat, chopped chicken and beef.this was in fajitas. They would remake it but ,why, the meat was old and sour. They said we will discount our meal ,I though 1/2 or 2/3 off but no just 10%. Oh boy! We're both 70 yrs old, hope I don't get sick. Also ,husband paid ,cash 50$ bill and witch included exact change, the young man could not give us the correct money's back. CB los tres amigo, Owosso mi. read more

Worst mexican or any kind of food for that matter I have ever eaten. First the decor, it's like Mexico threw up and then ate it. Totally tacky. The wait staff were very inattentive, all men for some reason. I ordered the beef taco salad. Prior to that coming they brought out chips and salsa. The salsa was like water and I didn't even bother tasting it. The chips were bland, no salt on them whatsoever. When my salad came it had no cheese on it so I had to ask for that which was strange. I had a side of refried beans which were cold and thin. After mixing up my salad it turned to water, it was like taco soup. The only thing edible was the shell. For dessert I tried the flan which looked pretty good in the menu. What they brought me was a cold lump of pudding covered in sugar water. It was revolting. I paid nearly $25 for this horrible dinner. I will never come back. If you want good Mexican in Owosso go to El Potrero and stay far way from this place! read more

Your mailbox is full and I have called and called. For a half hour straight. Online says 30-40 mins but after you pay it says an hour. That is very inconvenient and will not be ordering again from here maybe make your schedule more realistic and not deceiving. I have paid and can't even call to cancel my order or get a refund. Not happy. At least answer the phone or clear your voicemail. read more

Not sure we will be back. Stopped here after work for a quick dinner with friends. The staff was ok not that impressive with service. The food lacked taste and substance. The amount of meat was good but The prices were high for what you got. The wait was average. Unless you are craving this place other options may be a better and less expensive bet. We may stop back again but not on top 20 of places we have been at. read more

My Husband and I were out celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary. We thought we would try los tres amigos. We looked over the menu and decided to order Amigo burrito. We chose shredded chicken. When we got it my husband found out it had peppers and onions in it. The menu never mentioned it. He sent it back explaining he couldn't have it. The manager was so rude. As I finished my meal he finally got his as the manager slammed the plate down and said it's not our fault. I said excuse me, stop your attitude and yes it is. Be more specific on the menu. He pointed and said there's the door. So we left. My husband never got to eat. I've never been so upset. That manager was so ridiculous. read more

Service: Less than poor. We came in on a Sunday and there were only a few other couples dining and we had to flag our server down several times during our meal to order, get a refill, get a chip refill, actually to just get a round of refills. He'd bring one drink back and we thought he'd come back for the rest of us but never did. It took 25 minutes to get our meal, then we ordered fried ice cream to celebrate my 5 year old heading to kindergarten the next day and legit we waited for 20 more minutes before we finally gave up and said forget it. To which we had to flag our server down AGAIN to let him know! Food: Poor! Small portions & my son's chicken finger kids meal had 3 what looked to be extra fried frog legs! There was no meat whatsoever so I asked if that was a typical representation of what this plate is. He responded "yes that's it." So we asked for a quesadilla instead. Overall experience: We love Los Tres Amigos in Howell. This location is the spawn of Satan. Do NOT waste your hard earned money here! read more

I love Mexican/Spanish food, but this restaurant isn't what it could be. Ordered carry out and the food came out wrong and then the service wasn't good either, the lady on the phone argued with me and wouldn't replace the order! read more

If you love good Mexican food well then this is definitely the place to go. The service is good and I would also recommend desert

It is interesting to find a place that reminds me of chi chis located in Owosso. This restaurant impressed me very much, to the point when I'm halfway through my meal I am wondering when I will be coming back next! Very delicious! Try the enchiladas! read more

Beautifully remodeled! Love the decorations & the outdoor seating look inviting. I was new to Mexican food (well authentic Mexican) & had some questions, our waiter, although very nice & helper, didn't seem to understand us & we had a hard time understanding him. Food was good, not amazing or wow, but good. read more

Los Tres Amigos - Chips & salsa was brought out, I asked for the guacamole. - Mexican Near Me - Owosso, Michigan

By far some of the best authentic Mexican food you can find! I've been down south and out west sampling other authentic Mexican restaurants and it's in my professional opinion that Los Tres is well ahead of the competition. read more

I came in for opening week, so first impressions were a must. And as custom for many mexican restaurants I go to, I asked them for a simple flour tortilla with ground meat, cheese dip, onions and cilantro. Simple if they nailed it then I am a fan and will order more. This place hit the mark perfectly. The order I asked for was great and then I asked for pork tip tacos. And they were great. I am not normally wowed by mexican restaurants cause the lack of passion and authenticity most provide. But this restaurant is a great exception. The food is great, the drinks are great, service a little slow but hey that is opening week (not a big deal). Even the chips and guac and salsa were good. If it was not so far away I would go there more often, but I will go there if I am in the area. If you want really good food. Go there. It is worth it. read more

Really cute fiesta style Mexican restaurant! The service was okay, but the food was bland. There was no flavor at all in the shrimp/chicken/steak fajita combo. read more

Services was very poor, we had to keep repeating our order to our waiter and he still kept forgetting to bring us items. The burrito shell was stale, the fajita was ok but they charged $2 extra for shredded cheese without telling us also I asked for steak and shrimp fajitas so they added and additional $4, the fried beans, rice, lettuce and queso was dried out and looked as it was sitting out all day. I didn't mind paying extra but they should tell you up front and the manager just apologized for the burrito. We will never eat there again due to the quality of food and service read more

My mom brought me and her boyfriend here for Valentines day 2019. It was my first time here and I was blow away by the food, I ordered the sea food "Chimichanga de Camaron" It was spectacular! Best shrimp I've ever tasted in my life, the shell of the chimichanga was done beautifully, the food was separated and done well (tops to the chiefs & head chief) The servers were outstanding and working very hard and well it was like they were working out of a playbook. My only suggestion is when there is a line, have a ticketing system besides having the guests that are waiting to be seated figure it out among themselves and tell who server who was next. Other then that this place outstanding and definitely see and hear from me again :) good work Los Tres Amigos of Owosso. read more

I love this restaurant! I eat here frequently and find the food delicious and the helpings are large. I always end up taking some home with me. The cost is about average for the area. The decor is bright and festive like one would expect in a Mexican food establishment. The staff is friendly and fast. read more

They have messed up every order I have made over the phone and it's just a burrito amigo with queso.-Kyle Carpenter

I took a friend here for dinner on his birthday and, as usual, the food was fantastic! My friend wanted to substitute mahi for the tilapia in the fish tacos which, he said, made it even more spectacular! Although I am not a fan of guacamole, he is and he said the fact that it was chunky made it all the better. I have never had a bad meal here and I don't see having a bad meal here in the future! Also, our server was outstanding! He was attentive and saw to all our needs - VERY accommodating! Great food, great service oh, great place! read more
