Tried to give this place a 2nd chance after a few years. Disappointed once again due to the terrible customer service from Maggie and her very rude coworker. Had to pull into the window for a second time because the girl at the window didn't give us our taco dinners, and refused to give us limes despite clearly seeing them at the window. When we pulled in a third time to ask for them, we were told that the green limes were for making lemonade... How are you a Mexican restaurant without any lime? Do better. If you're not Latinx or a lighter toned Spanish speaking person, please don't bother to coming to this establishment. I've been to this establishment a few times, but I only ever used the drive-thru. I've always had good things to say about this place. My last time here I was racially profiled. I've thought about it for over an hour at this point of time and it's bothering me. It wasn't necessarily the employees, but one of their family members who came in. She even recorded me when I never did anything wrong. It was the strangest experience and I'll never support their business again. This never happens at Birria Don Louis which used to be a block away but they relocated. The cashier needs a serious reminder about customer etiquette. The total on my receipt did not match what my bank showed, and only later did I discover it was due to a card fee that was never mentioned. That lack of transparency is unacceptable. On top of that, after I handed over my card, the cashier returned it to me without a word and proceeded to speak only to my boyfriend in Spanish--completely ignoring me, the actual paying customer. Me and my boyfriend went in at 10:45 I get that it was almost closing and normally I wouldn't do that but there was nothing else open except fast food. Anyways when I walked in the girl said only Togo and only tacos we weren't eating in anyways because we knew they were closing. We got a steak taco dinner and a chicken taco dinner they came with rice and beans. The beans were extremely salty to the point we couldn't eat them. Okay these are some fire tacos. I've only had the carne asada (via delivery) and they are so good, well seasoned. The shrimp tostada is also amazing. Comes with a ton of minced shrimp and avocado slices, and tastes super fresh. The salsas are good too and I suspect they are homemade. The rice and beans aren't stellar, typical taqueria fare. I've ordered three times this week because they're that bomb. Great value and amazing taste. A+ for me! read more

First timer with new business owners Placed a take out order. Great size portions for the sopes because they were HUGE!!! Next time I will just order one. Good size portion of meat as well and I like the fact I can see my food being made. Great service and food was packed great with no spillage. Really needs zero stars. I ordered a steak torta and the meat was seasoned w an excessive amount of BLACK PEPPER. Never in my life have I ever ate Mexican food that was cooked w black pepper when I nicely told the waitress her response was "Idk" . My rice came cold and my beans were so cold that the chihuahua cheese on it was cold as well. (If you have warm beans the cheese will melt at least a little bit) never again, I would not recommend wasting your money here. read more

People who have had tripas know how it has a distinct taste and smell, these had neither. If you were blindfolded you couldn't tell the tacos apart. The best thing I had was the red salsa, it was at least a little spicy. I usually prefer green salsa but it lacked flavor and spice. read more

Look had no problems here. Got a chiles relleno dinner it was good. Got a chicken soup for Mom and Beef soup for Dad both of them liked it and it was good. My rice and beans were OK. The only thing I would change is put some tomato sauce on the relleno. It was more of a broth than a sauce. But the food was good. read more

I had the al pastor taco meal with rice and frijoles (beans). The rice felt undercooked, the peas in it still felt more on the hard side than the soft side. The frijoles tasted it was from a can, and I've made better frijoles from a can. The only thing that was a little tolerable was the al pastor tacos I had. The flavor was ok but I wish they were cooked a bit longer. I do feel like the business owners opened their restaurant for the sake of having a business rather than a love for cooking.
