Chile Verde Omelette
Cash R.

Every time I come into Los Pinos service is always top notch. I can order a burrito to go and they quickly prepare it and get me out the door in 5 minutes . I'm always welcomed with a smile and hospitality makes you feel special. Today I wanted to try something new . I got the breakfast option . The "chile verde omelette " man it was so good . Verde sauce over eggs and big chunks of pork . Rice and beans and side of flour tortillas . Delicious :) . Stop by if you want some good Mexican food !

Wet super steak burrito

Saw a review video and had to try. I ordered a super wet steak burrito with half green and red sauce and it was amazing!! Told a friend and he took his coworkers and they all loved it. I can't wait to go back!! Next time eat in. The ambiance was very welcoming.

Big super burrito was legit

I can't believe the rating is 3.5, when there are 4.8 rated places that are terrible so I'm giving them 5 stars in hopes of bumping their average up. This food had flavor and great portions plus it came with fresh chips. My kids ate well and nobody had any complaints. Located conveniently with a decent amount of parking and space to eat. I'll probably be back because they were fast and tasty

Updating because we decided to dine in for lunch. Warm chips are handed to you by the register. Salsa bar is good, there's a variety of veggies there too. I noticed that all the salsas were not super sweat inducing hot like some customers would prefer. Mom picked steak fajitas plate and the serving was very generous. She was happy with everything on her plate and the meat lasted her three meals. I ordered the double chile rellenos plate and it tasted very good.

Beandip (8 oz) and Full Bag of Chips

I got an Instagram ad for this restaurant and decided to try it out. I was really happy they have a Vegetarian Burrito option, as well as refried Beandip with enchilada sauce! My only wish is that you could note in DoorDash to put wet sauce on the side of the burrito so it doesn't get soggy. Other than that, the food was great! Loved both the mild salsa and the avocado salsa. Chips were a 4/5.

Sorry dug in before taking a pic it looked so good lol

Food is well seasoned, portions are huge, house salsas remind us of our childhood taqueria, and the ambiance is chill. The service was excellent, everyone was so accommodating and friendly. Will come back again for sure!

Agua fresha jamica.... Delicious!!

This place is located right next to my absolute favorite sushi spot! Unfortunately they were closed but I've had food from this place before and they were pretty good as I can remember lol. My bf was talk so much s**t talking about "Oh this place is not all that"! But I told him don't knock it till you try it and then talk that s**t lol. We walked in and were greeted right away, we decided to eat there since we had time and were in no rush! His simple a** wanted some tacos and I wanted some quesabirria tacos with a side of rice! I love me some rice! I ordered him 2 tacos of sada and 1 pastor. I wanted to try out their jamica because I remembered they had pretty good aqua fresca. As always I was right, the jamica was soo good and delicious!!! My bf loved his tacos and pretty much ate up his words lol he took everything back he had said about this place lol. My food was really good too but I got full too quick! I knew that was going to happen because I tend to have my eyes bigger than my stomach lol. But lucky for me I got my bf and he's more than happy to finish my food lol. Definitely wouldn't mind coming to this place again when I'm craving Mexican food and I'm in the neighborhood!

This was what I had left of my 2 lb burrito! Couldn't eat any more. It hardly fit in the To-go box even after eating this much!

Such a great local authentic Mexican spot if you're having one of those cravings! I got the 2 lb MASSIVE gordino's burrito... never had a burrito this big! It has carne asada, grilled chicken AND Al pastor! I'll have leftovers for the next 3 days. The service was quick and everyone was nice. Cute traditional Mexican decor and clean facility. I LOVED the self-serve salsa bar. You also get free chips with your meal.

Steak and Egg Burrito (which is basically 10% beans and 90% rice)
Matthew M.

DO NOT ORDER THE BREAKFAST BURRITO OTHER THAN THE TATER TOT BREAKFAST BURRITOS! The tator tot breakfast burritos are incredibly delicious. The regular breakfast burritos are terrible and should be taken off the menu. Accidentally ordered a steak a and bacon breakfast burrito instead of a tater tot breakfast burritos and there was almost no meet on either, barely any egg, a good amount of beans and a ton of rice.

My longtime favorite, this place is AMAZING!…read more I've been going to El Mercado Del Sol in Concord for YEARS, and let me tell you... this place never misses! It's one of those rare spots that stays consistently delicious no matter how many times you go, which is why I've happily supported them for so long. Their rotisserie chicken is out-of-this-world good--super juicy, perfectly seasoned, and roasted so the skin has that irresistible golden flavor. Every time I pick one up, I'm reminded why I've been coming here for so long. And the sides? Honestly, they're just as crave-worthy. The rice and beans are the ultimate comfort combo--flavorful, warm, and exactly what you want next to that chicken. The fresh tortillas are a game-changer: soft, warm, and perfect for making little tacos on the spot. And their salsa? Bright, fresh, and packed with just enough heat to make everything pop. I can't forget the carnitas either. After all these years, they remain some of the best I've had anywhere--tender, flavorful, with those crispy edges that make you want to order them again the moment you finish. El Mercado Del Sol is truly a Concord Gem! It's the kind of place that keeps you coming back because the food is consistently fantastic and made with care. I'm proud to support them and will keep doing so for many more years!

There's a ton of seating inside, and everything is very spacious. Though, I do have to say it always feels incredibly empty for some reason and there's never anybody actually inside outside of a few tables, but they do have tons of takeout so perhaps that's the tradeoff. However, don't let the lack of eating patrons inside the place put you off. This taqueria offers a good variety of different options as any taqueria would offer, and many of the options have pictures and stuff with it. The service here is, kind of hit or miss. The people in the front usually aren't overly friendly, and will sometimes feel like they're just there until the clock turns work over. Sometimes they're bordering on rude as they just kind of give you an indifferent stare as you're ordering, or will just feel as if they're half listening and not even looking up. The service was a bit better when I dined in, so perhaps maybe it's just the takeout, although it's usually the same person for both. Price wise, it's certainly not going to be cheap. If you want the best bang for your buck around here, El Aguila probably won't be it as there's a plethora of taquerias in this area. Food quality wise, it's pretty good overall. There are some tasty dishes here that will certainly warrant the little bit of extra cost here compared to other places. Things that I have tried here are the burritos and the torta. The burritos here are yummy as they they will have ingredients inside the burrito that is slightly different than your cookie cutter burrito at any other place. It really does help adds layers of flavor to it that other places do not offer. However, the best part of it is indeed the fact they grill the outside of the burrito to get that nice flakiness that wrap, and makes it a oh so rewarding experience. Meat portions was okay, but wish it had more especially for the cost. The torta I got was pretty good, as the ingredients inside were pretty typical so nothing really stood out. The break was toasted well, but I do wish it was a bit softer as it may have been to toasted. Should be toasted outside and soft inside, but this one just felt toasted all over. The meat portion also suffers from the same issue as the burrito as that it's not as generous as it could be. However, the flavors and taste were fine. It's certainly a nice place for those who want a bit of a different style of their Mexican cuisine. They have some flavors here that will be atypical of most of the cookie cutter taquerias around. While they are a bit expensive comparatively, the portions are actually decent (minus the meats). You can certainly be filled with just a single burrito. Worth a visit.

Feb 2 2025 3.5 stars…read more Lately our go to Mexican eats is Cinco De Mayo in Martinez. Christians-smh. It is Sunday and Cinco is closed. The server and service here at Isla was perfect. I pointed out to he waiter that he had a crumb on his chin and he wiped and chuckled like a nice champ. The music is pleasant but a bit louder than needed so I brought out the earplugs. The entire indoor setup is nice. Our food is arriving after what seems like a long wait meaning either the food is being served fresh, hot and tasty, or we are in for a mediocre experience. Our two plates arrived. Chilli relleno and Grilled chicken enchilada. I'm not a fan of the aesthetics of the smallish squair white plates. Reminds me of trying to look upscale. We own plates like these and that didn't work. Wife's enchilada plate was covered with three hot and very tasty chicken filled food bombs plus sides. The chili plate looked a little weak (too much plate showing) but that was the tastiest chilli relleno ever in 40 years of me enjoying these. Served hot with cheese filled up to the ying yang, an extra spiciness I have never had before that I loved and me wishing I had a spoon to scrape up the end of the sauce. Unfortunately the smallish rice and bean servings on both plates were luke warm and tasted so so. . I had similar hotter to those with tv dinners back in the day. The two plates and a coke at $43 has me scratching my chin on whether we will make that drive again. That is unless it is Sunday. Then possibly. .

Whenever I visit a Mexican restaurant, I always set my sights on the carne asada super burrito. The…read morefirst time I tried it at Isla, however, I was completely let down--the meat was bland and the burrito felt stale. After giving it some thought, I decided to return and explore what it was about Isla that everyone raved over. This time around, I ordered the fish tacos, and I was hooked! Isla's fish tacos are phenomenal--easily the best in the area and a must-have every single time. I usually go for the tilapia, though I've sampled the red snapper as well. They come out super crispy on the outside yet remain incredibly moist inside, with the salsa and toppings melding together perfectly. I also visited their new location today and was pleasantly surprised by the ample parking and comfortable seating. The space is beautiful, making it even more enjoyable to stop by for those irresistible fish tacos. Here's a quick rundown of my ratings: Fish (all varieties): 8.7/10 Birria: 7/10 (good, but not their standout item) Carne Asada Super Burrito: 5.8/10 When it comes to satisfying my fish taco cravings, Isla remains the only choice.
