The reviews seem unfairly negative to me. Yes, it's Americanized food and atmosphere. Accept that and place your order accordingly. I had a wonderful time with the stuffed jalapenos, dipping them in the salsa meant for the chips. I then mixed the chips into the lettuce below the jalapenos and had myself a salad. Made the food more exciting! My main course was delicious torta, soft bread, nice and big, delicious al pastor. Only caveat is a few chunks of gristle. The one comment I wish to leave: Service needs to be more regular. Stop by the table, don't just wait for the table to signal you. Collect checks at the table, don't make us bring them up - this isn't a New Jersey diner. (: But they were very polite and accommodating once summoned. read more

I went for Sunday lunch and this place was decent enough. I had the steak and shrimp which comes with a side of rice and "salad". The steak is thin as I'm most Mexican restaurants, but it was very tender and seasoned well. The grilled shrimp were prepared just right, however the only issue was the with the sides. I've never been served a salad without any type of dressing at all. I had salsa left so I improvised. It is very family and friends friendly and appears it would cater well to large groups. It did appear fairly clean in the dining area which is always a plus. However, I didn't use the restroom, so I am not able to give details about the cleanliness of that area. I would not recommend . Food has no flavor. I ordered the combination plate with Chile relleno and it was sour.

The food was lacking in seasoning, from the salsa to the beans. And the beans...why thin out refried beans with so much water? Beans are inexpensive and easy to flavor. These were runny and had almost no flavor at all. The chips were good, but again, the salsa was basically tomato in flavor and not much else. They serve store bought flour tortillas - gross. Their pico de gallo is mostly onion and jalapeno, lacking in cilantro and tomatoes. Their rice was also VERY bland. Service was fast, but definitely not friendly. I used to come to Los Parrillero's often but one day we had guest in town that wanted Mexican so I brought them here. One of our friends had a bug in his glass that looked like it had been cooked to the side of it in the dishwasher. I wasn't rude but showed the waiter, he apologized and got them a new drink, within the next ten minutes we had discovered some small bugs going through the chips. I asked for the manager he came over and told me they had been having issues with bugs and apologized, he said he would take care of it for me, which meant he took $17 off a $73 bill. To be fair this was about 6months a go so they may have gotten this problem fixed by now. It is also typically a pretty dirty place, floor, bathrooms, tables, which always makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. read more

This was my first time eating here and I thought it was fabulous. The staff was super pleasant. Our food was timely and cooked fresh. Loads of flavor with all the fresh vegetables used. The guacamole and salsa was so smooth and rich as well and paired perfectly with the thick crispy chips! I'll definitely be back. read more

I use to love coming here but the quality has went WAY down!! Ordered a chicken, shrimp, and steak quesadilla with no vegetables, no rice and beans the guy repeated my order word for word and told me 15 minutes! when I went to get my food the charged me for the rice and beans. The guy refunded the money and gave me my order. Checked my order it's mostly vegetables (when i ordered NO VEGETABLES) and hardly any meat!! I took my order back explained the issue gave it back and not even 2 minutes later they came back and handed me my order which originally took 15 minutes!! When I checked it a 2nd Time there was no vegetables and the sane meat had been picked off the previous quesadilla and thrown on a new tortilla shell and given to me!! It still has vegetable pieces on it, no cheese, and the tortilla WAS NOT COOKED!! Like wtf is really goin on!! I just took my loss and left!! Will not come back PERIOD!! read more

Terrible - tonight had to be my worst experience ever at this place. It has never been good but as it is the only hispanic choice in the area our kids want to go there. Tonight we went there with about 15+ people for a birthday party and OMG the worst food ever. I order shrimp nachos and a beef tostada each for my wife and I, the tostada was served with a taco shell broken in half with beef on top covered in the cheese dip?? I sent it back and explained that was not how a tostada was supposed to be - after that nothing but crappy ATTITUDE! When my family goes to a restaurant and spends $150+ this is not what we expect. There is not enough room here to elaborate further - all I can say is Taco Bell is up on the hill and I suggest a run for the border!! Save Your Money and Avoid This Place!!!
