Mr. Taco is one of those no-frills type hole-in-the-wall type places. It is strictly a walk up, place your order, get your food and go type places. There is no seating and since parking is so limited, I would not even recommend eating in your car in what little parking lot they have. Service was friendly enough, but I thought it strange they only sold their street tacos as an order of three, but could buy individual soft tacos. I ended up going with California burrito. Out the door with tax included, it was under ten dollars. All in all, not bad. If I was in the area, I would head back again. I will give it four stars. read more

Absolutely incredible food! We tried the Birria tacos, Pastor tacos, Carne Asada tacos, Carnitas tacos, chicken quesadilla, and steak quesadilla. It all had that great savory flavor with the freshness from the cilantro and then add a squeeze of lime and a dip of (what tasted like freshly made) red or green salsa and they are over the top. The corn tortilla ones were delicious but the flour weren't because I thought the flour tortilla was going to be homemade. And I know for sure they were bought from the store. In Addition the red salsa was super good and spicy. Also on my order I got a Jamacia (Hibiscus juice) which was so good I totally recommend getting one. Stumbled upon this place during a road trip and I have to say its by far my favorite street taco in Mississippi. I grew up in Southern California and have eaten a lot of great mexican food and this is comparable to that and even what I've had in Mexico. Very authentic street tacos! We had the al pastor and chorizo (highly recommend both). Also had the burrito percheron which was good and had a lot of meat. The tortillas were excellent quality, the meat flavorful and moist... everything you would expect from a street taco in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Had the tacos al carbon (with pineapple...alwaysa good sign!) and carne asada, as well as the cactus and carne asada huarache. Quality of food rivals that of excellent taquerias that litter the Hispanic areas outside the city of Chicago. Service was prompt. Did I mention the food was good? Be sure to get a side of queso and chips. You won't regret it. They also serve real Coca-Cola in a bottle, which is a plus for me! I used to drive up, park and order at the window. Typically wait in the parking ~10 minutes maybe. But lately I've been using Waitr to deliver as I live across town...I believe there is a seating area in the back if that's your preference. My only complaint is that they are not very seasoned as served but they serve them with a salsa verde that fixes that.
