We got there shortly after they opened at 5:15 and got a nice table by the window with bay view. They do not have outdoor seating which we had hoped. Beer selection was lacking in craft beer options and had one IPA on draft (Bell's Two Hearted). The menu has seafood, sushi, steaks and pasta. Based upon recommendation from the waitress and most of the pictures on Yelp, we went with the sushi. It took a very long time to get our order - close to an hour. When I asked why it took so long, she said they only had one sushi chef and they can get backed up. Since we got there 15 mins after they opened, it seemed hard to understand how they could be that backed up already. With that said, my bride ordered the Twin Tuna Delight ($18) and I ordered the Tuna Lover ($18) and Tuna Nigiri ($10). We were both pleased with our selections. The place seemed to fill up, so it appears to be a popular place to dine in town.

What I did not expect was the response. Half the price of the gyoza was taken off the bill. Not the appetizer. Half of it. When I called to ask about it, the manager told me the server said I had ordered pork, and that this was why only half was comped. She repeated that several times and made clear she considered the mistake mine. She believed that I was the type of person to go from restaurant to restaurant looking for a free meal via complaint. I did not order pork. Every other item I ordered that night was vegetarian. I have never ordered meat anywhere in my life. There is no version of this where I asked for pork gyoza. I was told someone would follow up with me. No one did. When I called back, the owner left mid-call, handing the phone to another employee who was not authorized to resolve my complaint in an effort to antagonize me. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Kitchens make mistakes and I do not fault the staff for the original error. The problem is what came after. A restaurant that serves meat to a guest who ordered vegetarian should want to find out how it happened, if only because the same failure with an allergy would put someone in the hospital. Instead I was told it was my fault, given half an appetizer back, and then cut off. If you have a dietary restriction that matters to you, religious or medical, I would eat somewhere else.
