We had the enchilada plate (3 baked enchiladas) with rice & black beans, and a Mesa bowl (basically a deconstructed burrito without the tortilla). From experience, we've found slow cooked pork (carnitas) to be the most flavorful & tender of the protein choices. Food was good and the portions were sufficient. The salsa that accompanied the chips had a little heat. For those with dental concerns, the chips served here were very hard & thick so be warned. If you'd like a nice Mexican meal in the gorgeous downtown Camas setting, this is the place. But know you're paying a premium for "looks."

The server was very friendly. I am not sure if chips and salsa are included or not but we did have to ask for it. I thought their food was good overall,. The temperature of the food was good. I could tell that the table was wipe as it was wet. However, the table was still sticky from food residue from previous diners. I had to lower my rating by one star.

I would have loved some pickled onions or something to deepen the flavors, but the ingredients were fresh and tasty. They come with one egg, I paid extra to make it 2. One friend had the torta and enjoyed, and another claimed the elote pancakes were the best thing she's eaten in years. Overall a great meal and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

It was very soggy, maybe because I had to stand there for so long waiting to be acknowledged. The dish didn't have awesome flavor, pretty lacking, nothing special. Their salsa had so much onion it was almost funny. Unfortunately I was not that impressed. The other dish that we ordered were shredded pork tacos and that was probably the most flavorful thing, slight saving grace.. I will likely not return, quite disappointed.

I feel that 3.7 is an accurate star rating for Ay Caray. I…read moreordered off their seasonal menu: Enchiladas Divorciadas. They were described as having "vibrant red and green sauces", with chicken inside. The flavors were pretty good. The green sauce was minimal and not vibrant. Would love to have had more. One star was lost from the temperature of my food. It wasn't hot (not spicy but temperature) enough. I don't like lukewarm food! The second star loss was that my enchiladas were difficult to eat because they put thin paper underneath the enchiladas that got saturated from the sauce. So I found myself eating part of the paper as it disintegrated. Not a pleasant experience. Both of these are fixable. The beans & rice were ok. Needed more seasoning as they were somewhat bland. Cheese would be nice. If I go again I would ask them to be sure to warm my food more and leave the paper off. If it were a burrito or taco it would be fine but sauce is not its friend.
