a plate of mexican food

This place is in my little town of Camas. There are several other Mexican options in the small town. We choose this one every now and then, because of the convenience, the great service, and the food. I had taco salad today. Love the Crispy shell, and the ingredients are fresh and tasty. My friend had an cheese enchilada and a tostada. They food looked really fresh and tasty. She said it was really good. We enjoyed their super tasty salsa and chips that were very fresh The guacamole is not my favorite. Doesn't seem homemade? Prices are competitive, and this place is very convenient. Give it a try if you're feeling like some hometown, Mexican food

Friendly service but on the slow side. Margaritas were delicious!! Once we got our dishes, everything was awesome! We ordered verde and machaca burritos, Chile relleno, tamales, beef tacos, and shrimp enchiladas. Food was really tasty. Afterwards, the owner brought us shots of tequila which was very good! As long as you are not in a hurry, you will not be discouraged

I must say this place was packed on Cinco de Mayo as my family and I chose to venture out for some really good Mexican food in our area. First off, being as busy as they were with such a small restaurant space you pretty much had to wait in middle of restaurant for a seat, but the staff managed to pull it off and were quick and proficient. Kudos to them! Now as for the food, it was quite good and certainly met our Mexican food fix. Food came out hot, good taste and the chips and salsa were also very good. For what's in the area this place is a good Mexican food option when you get that craving for some down home Mexican food.

Food was below average. Fajitas are usually a safe backup, but even those were poor. Steak was flavorless and vegetables were burned.

Nothing special though for atmosphere, it's a cut above your typical Mexican restaurant. But…read morerealize that you're paying for that ambiance with prices about 20% higher than what's expected for similar food. The service also felt a bit upscale too. We had the enchilada plate (3 baked enchiladas) with rice & black beans, and a Mesa bowl (basically a deconstructed burrito without the tortilla). From experience, we've found slow cooked pork (carnitas) to be the most flavorful & tender of the protein choices. Food was good and the portions were sufficient. The salsa that accompanied the chips had a little heat. For those with dental concerns, the chips served here were very hard & thick so be warned. If you'd like a nice Mexican meal in the gorgeous downtown Camas setting, this is the place. But know you're paying a premium for "looks."

The presentation of the bowl was good. It came with mexican rice and couple slices of avocado. All in all, my bowl was pretty good. My husband had carnita enchilada. It was a pretty big plate. The server was very friendly. I am not sure if chips and salsa are included or not but we did have to ask for it. I thought their food was good overall,. The temperature of the food was good. I could tell that the table was wipe as it was wet. However, the table was still sticky from food residue from previous diners. I had to lower my rating by one star.

If you're looking for authentic Mexican flavors, look no further! I've been here many times and…read morethis food cart is an absolute gem. Their tacos are bursting with bold, fresh flavors, and the organic blue corn tortillas take them to the next level--soft, flavorful, and the perfect base for their delicious fillings. You can truly taste the quality in every bite. The ambiance is very welcoming, fun and inviting. On top of that, the customer service is outstanding! The staff is so friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. You can tell they care about their food and their customers. I recently did my catering order through them and everyone couldn't stop raving about the food. So delicious! Highly recommend this spot if you're craving authentic, flavorful Mexican food.

I feel that 3.7 is an accurate star rating for Ay Caray. I…read moreordered off their seasonal menu: Enchiladas Divorciadas. They were described as having "vibrant red and green sauces", with chicken inside. The flavors were pretty good. The green sauce was minimal and not vibrant. Would love to have had more. One star was lost from the temperature of my food. It wasn't hot (not spicy but temperature) enough. I don't like lukewarm food! The second star loss was that my enchiladas were difficult to eat because they put thin paper underneath the enchiladas that got saturated from the sauce. So I found myself eating part of the paper as it disintegrated. Not a pleasant experience. Both of these are fixable. The beans & rice were ok. Needed more seasoning as they were somewhat bland. Cheese would be nice. If I go again I would ask them to be sure to warm my food more and leave the paper off. If it were a burrito or taco it would be fine but sauce is not its friend.
