The food at this place is fairly decent. I would say that I would come back. There are a couple of reasons why I give this place only three stars. For starters when we walked in on a Tuesday the restaurant was fairly empty for dinner time. There were only three people in our group.
We expected to be seated quickly considering how many empty tables there were and also the number of waiters and waitresses running around.
We were told that it would be a fifteen minute wait. How is it that there are at least 8 wait staff and over half the restaurant is empty and we still had to wait for fifteen minutes. After we were seated we were given chips and salsa fairly quickly, but it took our waitress almost ten minutes to come over and take our drink order.
I shared a molcajete mixto with my friend and our other companion had the enchiladas de queso. The molcajete was good although the salsa was a bit spicy for me, but it was good. The enchilada sauce actually tasted like spaghetti sauce, which was a bit disappointing. I will say that the rice and beans were actually very good.
The restaurant started getting busy. As the restaurant became busier we saw even less and less than our waitress. It took her the longest time for her to bring us the check. I would say give this place a try just try not to go during their busy times. read more
