    Shrimp taco

Very disappointed to get home and open up my order. Went for the shrimp tacos, the shrimp are extremely tiny and not cleaned, the entire meal looks incredibly unappetizing.

This is my favorite taco spot in Tampa. Selfishly, I don't want everyone to know about this place, as the ambience and company around this place is the perfect environment to enjoy the food. It feels like home eating here. Don't sleep on the pineapple agua fresca either.

Great food, great service, nice people!

I used to drive around town and always in the look out for places to enjoy great food. Today I was lucky enough to stop by and pay a visit. It didn't disappointed. Good food, friendly staff and affordable prices. Flavor is good, and fresh. Who would have thought! Come and visit, see for yourself!

I came here on Tuesday at around 9pm and it had a good flow of people coming in, our large group only added to it! It's outside but there's a covering to sit under with tables. You go up and order and they bring you your food. The man and woman working there were really nice and since I knew Spanish I could easily talk to them. I definitely recommend the tacos Al Pastor (it's seasoned pork) they were amazing and very authentic and the Agua de Horchata was the sweetest I've ever had but it was delicious and compliments the tacos well! I'm coming here again, especially since it's very close to USF.

I'm transported to Mexico instantly. They have authentic music playing. It's all outdoors. Pretty much a food truck that offer tables to eat your food right then and there. It's in a shady part of town and it has a cover so it helps with heat and rain god forbid there is any. I recommend coming to this spot for some great authentic Mexican street food. We had the tacos, quesadilla and burrito. My favorite were those tacos!!! I want more!! The onions they used on these dishes are fantastically made. I can tell it was made in low heat and made with time. Overall, You can go wrong with any. I want to try their torta or menuda next time I come.

Here we are!!! As I pulled up, I knew this was my kind of place. I was telling my lady that we're at the right spot. It's in some piece of land in the middle of the neighborhood. What more could I ask for? When it comes to Mexican, this is what I want. The burrito, the tacos, and the quesadillas were amazing. And the best part was that hand sanitizer on the table was also amazing.

Horrible at understanding English - I prefer pinch a taco . Meat is more fresh and juicy

Not sure how sanitary this place is . Not good at understanding English - I prefer pinch a taco on Nebraska . The meat here was a bit dry

    Original Taco al pastor

To preface this I'm on the quest for Tampa's best taco and Los Comales really stepped up to the plate here. I was impressed! A friend and I tried the steak and al pastor original tacos and there was a clear winner. While the steak taco had a hearty portion the steak fell flat and was dry. It came with a spicy pepper and onions but not even the salsa could fix it. Now the al pastor taco had juicy pork chucks and the perfect blend of spices. Their corn tortillas also added a layer of delicious since they were grilled to add more flavor. I think if the steak had not been dry I would have added another star. I'll come back to try the rest of their menu for sure though!

Brilliant food. Excellent service. Like eating in someone's kitchen. Everything including the wraps are homemade

We started with nachos for the table with chipotle cheese sauce, pickled red onion, pickled chile, guacamole, queso fresco, and sour cream and they were the perfect way to kick everything off. For mains, we ordered the enchiladas poblanas (chicken, queso fresco, house-made mole, crema, onion, and sesame) and shared the steak Tampiqueña with grilled strip steak, refried beans, and rajas corn enchiladas. The steak was genuinely perfection so flavorful and cooked beautifully. I also treated myself to an espresso martini, which was divine...maybe just a little strong, but in the best way. We had a delicious lunch right before our concert, and the location made it super convenient since it was right where we were staying. Overall, such a great sisters' trip meal, amazing food, fun vibe, and a perfect pre-concert stop. Would 100% recommend!!!

The lobster quesadilla was hands down the best quesadilla I've ever had. I also ordered the crab and shrimp enchiladas and everything was seasoned to perfection. My friend had the enchiladas poblanas and loved hers just as much. The drinks were just as good. I had an espresso martini while my friend ordered a guava margarita. The vibe really made the night. It's the perfect spot for a girls' night really. Our waitress was so sweet and even helped bag our food at the end of the night, which I appreciated. There was an event going on nearby, so valet was super convenient and even discounted since we were dining at the restaurant. Overall, I really loved everything about this place. We're already planning to come back for happy hour.

If you are in Ybor City and trying to enjoy yourself without lighting your wallet on fire, Barrio…read moreTacos is a very smart move. What I appreciated most is the build your own taco option, because it allows you to order exactly what you want without paying for a bunch of filler ingredients you were going to push to the side anyway. When you strip it down to the proteins and toppings you actually like, the cost savings are real. In a place like Ybor, where prices can creep up quickly, that matters. Now, the à la carte menu can feel a little confusing at first glance. It is not the most straightforward ordering system if you are just breezing through. But once someone walks you through it and you understand how to piece your order together, it becomes completely worth it. You end up with exactly what you want, and you are not overpaying for things you did not ask for. The vibe was great. The service was friendly and patient, which helps when you are trying to decode the menu. And the location is ideal. There is an outdoor patio with umbrellas on the sunny side of the street, which gives you options. You can sit in the sun if you want that warm Florida glow, or you can stay shaded if you are protecting your skin but still want to be outside watching the action unfold on the strip. And let's be honest, half the entertainment in Ybor is people watching. Add in the random roosters casually strolling around like they own the neighborhood, and you have a full show with your meal. I loved everything about this place and highly recommend it if you want to save a few bucks on food while still soaking up everything Ybor City has to offer. Good tacos, good vibes, good people watching. Hard to beat that combination.

Not much changed from it being the previous locations of other restaurants, but it definitely needs more natural light. It's like eating in a dungeon. The tacos there was a lot going on on the menu and I'm sure this is a niche, but it is not a niche. I am on board with any taco that had ground beef was kind of disgusting the other tacos. You could've made them at home and probably made them better if you're looking for authenticity this is not the place. Service the service was not much to write home about nothing was stellar, but nothing was bad. With all things being equal, this is not a place that I would naturally recommend somebody likes it but it's probably the same people that eat Tijuana flat.
