We've been coming to Los Chiludos for a while and keep coming back for the food. Menu is somewhat limited but they regularly have great specials that make for a great variety. They have beer & wine-based margaritas (margs are tasty and nearly indistinguishable from tequila-based). Prices are reasonable especially for the island. Portions run small but quality makes up for it. Kids menu, quick counter service, and outdoor seating make this family-friendly. I'm docking 1 star because they don't offer tap water, only bottled. This place is still really good for quick Mexican food. The have tacos, burritos, salads, enchiladas. This time I ordered a fish taco and a shrimp taco with mango salsa. It comes with chipotle aioli which I asked for on the side. It's not spicy it's Smokey and tasty. Both of these were about $10 which is really cheap eats on Anna Maria island. They have inside and outside seating here. Service is great and friendly. You order with them at the front and they bring your food to you. Definitely a must stop. This place is in a plaza off the beach area. Service is nice. Restaurant has a few indoor tables and more outdoors. You order at the counter and it comes out soon. We started with queso and chips. The $3 bag of homemade chips is huge. Had to take it home. My wife got the Mexican egg rolls. They were ok. I got the birria tacos. They were delicious with dipping sauce. Fresh, fresh, fresh. Chips and salsa with the Mango Salsa. A ridiculous, gigantic bag of freshly made chips. Salsa was chunky, sweet, salty, good mango flavor. The Carnitas Platter was some of the best, moist and tasty pork that I've come across at a Mexican restaurant in the Pinellas County area. The pinto beans were great on this platter. Not over sauced at all, but had that great bean taste. The Chilango Burrito was huge, juicy and amazing. Good quantity of moist and tender steak. Excellent! Washed down with a couple of Modelo Especials and life was good on Anna Maria Island. Good "value for dollar spent" in this unexpected strip mall Mexican restaurant. It must be consistently good because the place was very busy on this Saturday afternoon. The ambience was very good with a nice mix of Mexican music playing overhead. It's an upper-scale order at the counter type of place and everyone was really friendly. We started with frozen lime margaritas and they were good. Our favorite thing by far was the cheese dip. It was delicious! My husband and I shared one of the specials, which was a birria chimichanga. It was good, especially with a little cheese dip on top. We also had steak tacos. Found this little jewel by way of Google reviews and it didn't disappoint. The food was amazing! I had the carnitas platter and the plate is very deceiving. There is a ton of food on the plate and I wound up taking a doggy bag home, I never do that. Service was spot on. The server and manager checked on us periodically and were very engaging. In addition to the great food, the family that owns and runs the restaurant are some of the nicest people, aside from them being die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fans lol, and their hospitality knows no bounds. There are options for everyone here: omnivores and vegetarians alike. The staff are patient, friendly and make your food in a timely manner. They have some tables to dine inside and a few outside as well but if you visit on a busy time/day you might need to make arrangements to eat somewhere else. I recommend the horchata, veggie burrito, house made guacamole and chips. Constructive criticism: the bell peppers inside the veggie burrito are cut way too large, it would be a 100/10 if they were cut smaller. We'll be back! read more
