Waited for a table about 20 min- which gave us enough time to get some margaritas. We could sit at the bar- or outside...but we snagged two chairs at the bar. Attendee was friendly and made nice drinks. Food was delish. Chips and salsa were freely given- menu says free with all meals. (Someone posted a complaint about being charged)... Anyhow- we enjoyed our meal. Busy place , but food came quickly and we loved our meals. I had the carne asada- waiter said the steak fajitas is a lot of food and I didn't need too much... I ordered it medium rare... and I would say it came medium well- a "little"pink... but more done than expected...it was still good.. I guess I would order it rare. rice and beans were tasty and also came with pico and tortillas. Chili Rellanos with beef had at least two or theee peppers... and stuffed full of beef- had to take half home. The combo plate also was fab. Tamal, tostado and taquito- yum... had to take some home of this too. Happy to have tried this establishment- and will be back.

I hesitated to give this review but our experience left us with such a bad feeling and reading…read moreanother reviewer who had a similar complaint I thought I should. We've only been here twice - the first visit was more than good - it was a busy night but we got seated outside and our food came out quickly. We ordered all appetizers to test a variety of food, and none of them disappointed. The server guy was fast and friendly. The second visit we came on a not-so-busy night, I'd say the place was about half full on a rainy day. My husband couldn't decide what to order - the menu is large, so he asked the server what she recommended. Without missing a beat she said the skirt steak was her favorite. So he ordered that. I ordered the short ribs. Even though the place was not busy, it took forever to get our meals this time, and the server was nowhere to be found - she didn't stop to explain the wait. Finally our meal came. The skirt steak was served sliced, with a side container of brussels sprouts. Average-looking. And my husband thought it was average-tasting. The shock was when we got the bill. Apparently the skirt steak was a Wagyu steak and the most expensive item on the menu. When the server recommended it she did not say it was a Wagyu steak and she didn't give a heads-up on the price. When I mentioned our surprise the server just shrugged it off. As the days passed by I felt more and more burned by the experience. Before writing this I looked at their web site to find the item and it was listed at $60. We were charged over $100 for the Wagyu skirt steak - don't know what happened there. I'm an old lady and this kind of thing has never happened to me at any restaurant anywhere.

Our server was also soo kind and very attentive! I wish we got his name. We already recommended this spot to many of our family out here. We will definitely be back!

I beg you: come hungry! You're going to want to try everything!…read more I was on my way back to Tampa from Sarasota and decided to stop in. This standalone restaurant is on a busy road, but has plenty of parking and a little lake next to the lot. It's big but cozy, with a fun decor-lots of booths and tables in two different rooms plus a bar to belly up to. My server was sweet and attentive-but didn't hover. She had perfect timing. The complimentary chips were warm and the salsa had just a little kick to it-good combo. I had to order the white queso dip... I mean, who am I if I don't try the queso? It was silky and comforting. I ate every drop. By this time I was full-but I wanted to try more things. I ended up going with the build your own: one taco (really tasty! Simple but oh so good!), one chile relleno (generous serving-lots of meat and cheese/less pepper) and one chicken enchilada Suiza (I think it was dark chicken-but check me on that). This is a lot of food-and you also get two sides! I chose rice and black beans-which were both excellent. The lunch menu has great choices/prices and there's a happy hour from 3-7 (not sure if it applies to the weekend-should have checked-sorry!). The booth was comfy and it wasn't loud in there (except for the folks next to me-who I now know wayyyyy too much about!) I think the ac was out when I was there-or on its last legs. But that's fixable. I'll definitely go back again. I had the house margaritas this time (good! Perfect sweetness levels-lightly strong, if that makes sense) and want to try others on the list. Clean-casual-good service-big menu. Thanks, Poblanos! See you soon!

Even though the place was hopping, we were seated quickly, and our server stayed right on top of our drinks and food order. What We Ordered: * Hub Sampler with chips, guacamole, salsa, and queso * Mahi-Mahi Fish and Chips with seasoned fries, pickled red onions, and homemade tartar sauce * Smash Burger with Lettice, Tomato, Onion on a toasted brioche bun * Tacos served with two tacos, yellow rice, and red beans * House Salad with chicken breast * Side Garden Salad Wrap-Up: I was pleasantly surprised by just how good everything was. The Mahi-Mahi was the best I've had in the area, and the Salads were fresh and filled to the edge of the bowl. The Smash Burger was done perfectly. The Tacos were stuffed and very good. Overall, The Hub Baja Grill was a great surprise. Everything came out hot, tasty, and in generous portions. I'm giving The Hub Baja Grill 4 stars. Gulf Coast Terry

We also found out they only use blue corn, which I have never come across at a restaurant before and I think we were all big fans of that! We had a table of four and ended up ordering esquites and guacamole as apps to share. The both came with warm, fresh blue corn perfectly salted chips. Everyone enjoyed both the dips. The corn in the esquites was a bit sweeter than I would have liked for a dip with chips. For our main dishes, two people ordered the chicken quesadilla and then two of us ordered 2 tacos each (octopus, blackened grouper, carne asada & sweet potato. The quesadillas were enjoyed. My friend really liked that the carne asada was petit filet; she also had the sweet potato taco and said it was well seasoned. I had the octopus and grouper. The octopus was good and thought it paired well with the napa cabbage, pico & micro cilantro. The grouper I was unfortunately not a fan of... It tasted fishy, which really took me by surprise. After tasting it, I had wished I would have chose the oxtail instead. I did really like that napa cabbage was used as a nice green crunch on some of the tacos rather than icky shredded iceberg! There is limited indoor seating; there are a few tables and a small bar. There is also outdoor seating. For the bathroom, you have to go around the restaurant to the back.
