Great food and service - big tacos ! Great atmosphere too. Highly recommend for a more upscale Mexican meal.

We came here for Taco Tuesday and were amazed by the quality of the tacos. Each was a mound of food on a homemade blue corn tortilla. The Duck Confit Taco had loads of shredded duck with cabbage, pickled onions, and Cotija cheese. The Hangover Taco was a chorizo taco with purple potato, and guacamole, topped with a sunny side up quail egg: a kaleidoscope of delicious flavors. My wife enjoyed her pork belly tacos and Brussels Sprout tacos. A lot of care has obviously been put into creating a menu that's unique but the combinations make sense and taste as good as they sound. The one free beer special for every two tacos Tuesday is incredible although I don't know how long they'll have it. I had the Green Bench Turbid IPA , which is excellent. They have a few crafts and all the Mexican favorites. The watermelon margaritas was small but strong, fresh, and tasty. Our experience at Casa Musa was extremely disappointing and, frankly, disrespectful. From the moment we were there, the waitress was rude and treated us in a way that made us feel completely unwelcome. The soda machine was not working, so there were no sodas available. They only had sweet iced tea, and they couldn't even offer us a sweet iced tea. The food was only okay, but the poor and disrespectful service was the biggest problem. Customers should be treated with basic courtesy and respect, and unfortunately, we did not receive that here. We left very disappointed with the way we were treated. Can't give it a 5 because my lord is it trashy. For a brand new restaurant, it looks like it was dropped on the key straight from Hialeah. The French restaurant there before was nice. But this? The paint job, trim, tables, bar - all sloppy and lazy low end work. Can't give it 4 stars because the food here isn't as good as the Bee Ridge location. Bee ridge food is outstanding. Inside Bee Ridge is much nicer too. The Landing location is the nicest, with about the same food as siesta key. 3 stars for? The service is great. Love all the people who work there. Really friendly and attentive. New place but needs a remod fast, and up the cook game a little bit. It doesn't look remotely inviting from the street or inside. read more

WOAH. I was craving some good Mexican food and this place did not disappoint! There were lots of great options. We split the nachos with guac and it was huge and delicious! I also got a Brussel sprout taco. The flavor was great, but I did feel like it could have used a little extra sauce on top. I used some of the cheese from the nachos and it made it much better. My son got the chicken taco and fruit and it was a great kids portion! The margaritas were also delicious. Chase was our waiter and despite us being the only party upstairs; he checked on us multiple times and was super attentive! We will absolutely be back! read more

We visited Casa Masa with a large group at the tail end of the busy holiday season. Despite some highlights, the meal left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally. The friendly, helpful, and responsive hostesses and waitresses stood out as a bright spot. They handled our large and confusing group (multiple families from a big soccer trip) with professionalism. They were top class. I also really enjoyed the house margarita with Tajin rim. The Casa Masa margarita is well-balanced, not too sweet, and strong enough. The guac was also legit and delicious. The rest of the food was pretty rough. The menu is extremely limited - there are a variety of a la carte tacos at $6-10 each (no sides included or available), a couple of basic burritos/bowls, and a nacho. Unfortunately, the Protein burrito was shockingly bland and one of the worst things I ate all year. The beans, rice and protein (blackened shrimp) did not have any discernible seasoning or flavor (salt, heat, citrus, or otherwise). The only flavor in the entire $20+ burrito was absolutely overwhelming raw red onion. I was tasting red onion for hours afterward. Seasoning issues aside, it's wild that Casa Masa is a Mexican restaurant that doesn't offer salsa at all. There's not even a basic hot sauce or tacqueria sauce (like Cholula). This burrito is desperately crying out for some flavor (aside from pungent raw red onion), and it's wild that something so standard, basic and obvious in Mexican cuisine is just ignored. A little melted cheese, some grilled onions, or some sour cream would have gone a long way...but those are also just missing. Is it too much to ask for a red sauce, a verde, a suiza, or a queso to liven things up? Not offering any rice, beans, or garnish is also a choice at a $20+ pricepoint. The meal turned out to be pretty pricey, especially after paying for parking in the area (more costly than typical valet at a high end restaurant). The Casa Masa take on Mexican cuisine is confusing. Why bring Mexican cuisine to the beach and then strip away the vibrant flavors that have made the cuisine so beloved? I would recommend visiting Casa Masa for a margarita and guacamole, but the rest of it should be avoided. read more

The experience was absolutely amazing. I got the Grouper Taco and the Carne Asada Taco and these were one of the best tacos I've had in so long. They were so flavorful and very authentic!! Stopped in here as some favorable reviews but if you're looking for a restaurant, pass. Bar with a kitchen and this is your place. I had pills protein bowl which was a decent meal but nothing to write home about. I drank water so food was unbiased opinion and not altered by my sobriety. Wife had 2 tacos, one being fish and were pretty good. Not a big menu and not close to best I've ever had. Accepted. Service was good but again was a bar and that was the atmosphere. To our delight, we arrived at the stroke of 3pm, just as happy hour was starting so we were able to take advantage of beer and house margarita specials. We started with the nachos, which were outstanding. We particularly loved the micro cilantro on top. We then only had room for 3 tacos for the 2 of us: pork al pastor, pollo, and carne asada. They were excellent. I loved the chicken; my husband loved the tender carne asada. If you are walking around Siesta Key and need a quick bite this place will not disappoint! read more

Fantastic new option in Siesta Key Village. Everything was outstanding. However, the octopus tacos might be the best tacos I've ever had, and I love tacos. So original. Birria tacos made with lamb. This place is underrated.. was hesitant due to the lack of reviews but was very impressed with the food and atmosphere. Ordered the Birria, Pork belly, octopus and carne asada tacos for our table.... Shockingly the "safe" carne asada taco was our least favorite but still delicious. Octopus was tender not chewy at all.... Birria taco is loaded with flavor. Was here with my boyfriend and some of our friends last night, once at our table we had a couple rounds of margaritas with some amazing food. We sat upstairs and everything went off without a hitch.
