Pollo la Crema
Lindy S.

Best place if u love crema sauce. They have a choice of shrimp or chicken. I had the chicken last time and it was not tender. This simple sauce was the star of the dish. They also add carmelized onions and mushrooms which add depth to the richness of the sauce. My next visit I opted for only the onions & mushrooms, no protein. I added fried jalapenos and it was great. Rich in taste and heats up great the next day. Don't forget Sangria Saturday's! Ask for Izzy- he's the best! Restaurant also has a bar/casino attached.

Enchilada with deluxe tostada...delish!

Delicious, reasonably priced and seemingly large portions. Staff is friendly and attentive. We tried the shrimp chimichanga. It was pretty good but served with tiny sized shrimp. The pork here is very good. The steak fajitas are excellent! The beef is tender and well seasoned.

hey this place was good. i got the wrong food which was ok because sean fixed it and on top of that only charged for my friends food( and out sweet seeet teas) LOL best server ever! (besides aerick) he's the best if you go there make sure he serves you. sean might not be his name but he's the one with black hair and a beard. soups nice guy. i could go on and on but i'll just leave it short and sweet so that you can have just a little taste of the beautiful restaurant los caps

Neat and tidy place, friendly staff and fresh food. What more can you expect from a decent lunch restaurant? I would still rate Chipotle slightly higher than this place on taste factor. Tip: try Date Shake

Salsa is pretty good.

Decent enough "Mexican" food. Finding that Montana in general needs help in this area! Prices are a bit high, but they have a nice outdoor seating area, good for enjoying a margarita on a warm summer evening.

So much deliciousness at Los Caporales

What a pleasant surprise! Being from Mexico myself I was able to really enjoy an all home-made plate of sizzling fajitas that reminded me of those back home. This place has other really good dishes and prices are very reasonable! Our server was very polite and courteous without being overbearing, she even gave us advice to a local hike! The nachos were crunchy and warm, the salsa was fresh and the horchata was the perfect sweet tooth. We didn't try the desserts but the list was very decent. I will definitely be back for the good service and delicious food.

We also ordered chips, salsa and guacamole. My daughter ordered the shrimp tacos which she loved. My grandson ordered the steak tacos and a quesadilla.

The staff was nice and they were only seating the bar half of the restaurant. The menu is quite small with a huge tequila selection and some other cocktails. The pricing is pretty high and the food is definitely southwestern not true Mexican, which you can tell from the photos. We had the chips and salsa. The chips were definitely homemade and thick. The chips were delicious alone but I came with a green and red sauce. The green sauce was good, the red was okay and both were mild. For dinner I had the carne asada tacos and my dad had the pollo tacos. Each taco plate comes with 4 and you cannot mix and match. The carne asada was delicious. You could tell the meat was high quality and seasoned well. The tortillas were corn, but thick and delicious. I do not usually like corn but these were phenomenal. The pollo was okay, I wasn't a huge fan of the seasoning on the chicken but I do like that the portion of the meat was substantial. To drink I got their pineapple drink with vodka instead of tequila. It was good but small and almost $20

I was surprised to find their pricing was so reasonable and from such an accomplished Chef and team. They have been so easy to work wit hand so much fun to plan with for our wedding. THEN, my rehearsal dinner location that has been putting me off for months about getting reservation details beyond "sure we can do that" comes back with "That will be $4k room reservation since its on one of our busy days, looking forward to working with you" 3 weeks before the wedding. In a panic I reached out to see if there was any way S&M would be willing to squeeze in some additional catering for me that weekend and all I heard was "don't worry! we got you!" at a fraction of the price of my previous intended location, on short notice and with a smile. Chef Star and her team have already gone above and beyond and we haven't even gotten to the good stuff yet. We are so looking forward to actually getting to taste the food (Which I've heard is incredible), but even if it was just mediocre, they will still get a 5 star review. I'll be back with pictures after the event, but just know, you're getting more than a caterer if you hire Chef Ironside, you're getting a partner in your event. someone who is as invested in its success as you are. Don't hesitate.

Husband and I split the 3 meat plate (although we were tempted by the special-beef ribs on mashed potatoes). We had brisket (good and my favorite), pork ribs (fall off the bone good and tasty), pork belly (hubby said it was good since it isn't my thing). For our sides we had collard greens (we fought over those they were so good), bacon Mac (creamy and smokey), and corn bread (so glad we each had our own serving of that or there would have been bloodshed). That cornbread was the best I have had at a restaurant in ages. Staff were on it. They were personable and friendly. Kitchen staff--wow. It was awesome to watch the magic and teamwork happening in the very small wizard's workshop. Thank you for the great night and the leftovers.

So, I really don't know why people come here. Maybe we got unlucky but let's run it from the start…read more Upon entering, the place does look very cool. It almost feels like you're in a mineshaft or an antique store, which I thought was awesome. We are immediately greeted with a very friendly smile and told there were seats at the bar (the restaurant was packed, another good sign). A few minutes go by and we're still standing at the check-in, and another couple comes in. They are greeted in the same way, offered seats at the bar, and are thusly ushered to their seats... while we were still standing there. Okay, few more minutes go by and we call out the table that was just cleaned, and we get seated. The menu looks phenomenal, and we ended up getting the meat combo to try everything. This is where it gets even worse. The barbecue itself took a while to get to our table, which would be fine if it wasn't cold. Yes, you heard correctly, the barbecue was all cold. Baked beans had to have been Bush's. Potato salad and Mac was good, same with the cornbread. But the main things we paid $60 for were cold. The ribs were beyond burnt, and the brisket was tough. Oh, and the single sausage we got was slathered in mustard and barbecue sauce, come to think of it everything on the plate was slathered in barbecue sauce. Usually not a good sign lol. I really wish I could say nicer things about this place but I unfortunately cannot recommend it to anyone. But hey, they're packed so maybe that's just the quality of the food around Kalispell.
