Chile Rellenos: 1 beef & 1 chicken, awesome!

This is my go to Mexican food in the area! Very clean with a friendly staff. Attentive servers, hot and VERY tasty food!

This is to show we bought the $3.99 little cup of cheese dip are chips not included??

So we usually eat here, maybe once a week. Tonight I noticed on the menu they charge an extra dollar for chip or salsa refill. I noticed the chips to start off with were about half the basket. We bought the cheese dip for $3.99 that is served in the same small cup the salsa is...not a boat. My wife asked for more chips, and they were happy to charge the $1 upcharge. Well, burritos used to be $13.59, now they are $17.50. I can't afford this place anymore.... can't and won't be back

    Chicken Adobe to go.

How have I not reviewed Los Azteca's before? This is really close to my house and our go to for when we are craving Mexican food. The inside has brightly covered murals and painted tables and booths. And the food is served on bright Fiesta plates. It's a warm fun environment. Service is usually good, friendly and fast. When you dine in, you get complimentary chips and salsa. I love the salsa. Taste fresh and has a hint of cilantro. We ordered through Postmates tonight. I got the chicken Adobe and my husband got the arroz con pollo, his go to meal. We've had many things here before and are fans of any chicken dish. The description of mine said it was marinated chicken with spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms in a cheesy sauce with a side of rice, beans and tortillas. The portion is huge. I had two chicken breasts. The veggies are refreshing. I at first thought the cheese sauce was missing, but found it under the chicken. Chicken is tender and has a nice seasoning and grill to it. The cheese sauce is one of my favorite things. Rice was also good and seasoned. Hubby enjoyed his dish but said there was less cheese than usual. I think they pour more on at the restaurant. Only thing was we were missing one set of tortillas. I was happy we still got chips and salsa with our delivery.

We got the lunch portion of the quesadilla mexicana. I didn't get to try it but my sister certainly enjoyed it. I also got the steak fajita and the beef queso which were both absolutely delicious. Service was great and I had an amazing experience. Food was certainly delicious! I didn't take the best picture but here it is!

This was a surprisingly good hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. The decor was bright and colorful. We went in the middle of the afternoon, so the restaurant was pretty empty and we were seated right away. They start you off with complimentary chips and salsa. We then ordered the queso fundido y chorizo which was absolutely amazing. It was probably the best thing I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. For my main dish I got the Hawaiian Quesadilla which was also very good. I tried the Pollo con Crema that my friends ordered which was amazing as well. The service was good, the food was awesome, and the decor was lively. I would definitely come back in the future.

I've gone here a few times now and I really enjoy the food. My friend took me here a year ago and I've revisited multiple times. They usually always have some type of drink special. Recently, I got the margarita which was on special and it was very delicious. They start you off with complimentary chips and salsa. I really enjoy their salsa here. Last time, I got the chicken tostadas with a side of pico de gallo that I put on top. Visit this place if you're in the area.

Great Mexican restaurant. We bring a crowd each time we come. Everybody enjoys the food and very good service. We've always had an excellent experience each time we dine here. Ben Steverson

Friendly service but otherwise, pretty standard compared to other inexpensive restaurants of this type in the Charlotte area. This is the only one that I know of in Fort Mill, so there's that. Chips were good, salsa was a little more watery than I like but otherwise tasty. I had the two burritos lunch special, my daughter had a chimichanga. Both were good portions and they were quality. As I said, service was good. I'd return here.

Glad we came bc it was such a fun atmosphere and the margaritas were on point! We needed up just ordering appetizers and we fell in love with the gringo dip, such much so we ordered it twice. They had reggaeton playing, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The vibe was casual and laid-back. We were brought warm chips and salsa right away, which was nice. Our waitress took our order, but she was pretty absent after that. It was hard to get more napkins and refills on our beer and soda. The fajitas for two were really good -- 5/5. The cilantro rice, though, was a 1/5. It was very dry and way too salty, which was disappointing. The elote (corn on the cob), which I was really excited about, was a 5/5. So good. One thing that also disappointed me was the guacamole. The menu says it's prepared tableside, which usually explains the higher price. However, that wasn't the case for us. It wasn't made at the table, so that was a little frustrating since it seemed like we were paying extra for that experience. Overall, the food was mostly great, but the customer service was lacking. It was frustrating because we could see people waiting, and we were ready to pay and leave to free up the table. It was just hard to get her attention for to-go boxes and the check, and it took a while before she came back. Maybe we'll try again at a slower time.

We set up our chairs then went inside to place our order. They have TWO lines. One just for beverages, beer, wine & spirits. Then a food line where you can get both. There was a young lady at the front of the line with a wireless device who took our order and money. Michelle got a Fort Millsner and I got a coke. The lady said: 'they will call your name for the drink order and we'll send you a text when the food comes out' After about 10 minutes, they called my name and ONLY the coke came out. We waited for another 5 minutes waiting for the beer to be called, we never got called. I went back up to the counter and explained what happened and they immediately poured a Fort Millsner. We waited another 20 minutes for our food to come out. I got the 3 salmon tacos and Michelle got the Greenway salad. She said it was 'OK'. The flour tortillas were very dry and there was very little salmon on them. Very little pico de gallo and not much avocado flavor, disappointed. All in all we missed about 40 minutes of the concert performance. VERY disappointed with the lack of service. You're not allowed to bring in outside food or beverage. They can do better. There are SO MANY other things to do in Fort Mill so I hope they can turn it around.

They seemed to have a wide range of coffee and beer options as well, and all the other food dishes I saw on the menu and on others' plates looked great, too. Only piece of constructive criticism would be that the staff member who was keying in my order was a bit slow (but it was clear she was training so it wasn't a bit deal, and she was very nice). It looked the same, but the menu was greatly expanded. Our waiter, Nicolas proved to make the experience a good one, far, far better than nine years ago. Margaritas also served to make it a good experience. They come in flavors and sized small, large and pitcher. We went large ($10) regular flavor. Nice servings and went down well. Given our previous bad experience we went with standard food offerings. Wife had enchiladas verdes ($13.99) which were served with rice and beans. She asked for diced onions to be cooked inside the enchiladas and they did so. I Went for chile verde ($16.99), which is one of my favorites. Pork chunks well simmered and soft in a green gravy. Contract with beef cooked likewise called chile colorado, another favorite. Served with rice and beans and tortillas. I specified flour tortillas but you can opt for corn tortillas. Without having to explain what it was I wanted, Chiles Toreados ($3.99) were actually listed on the menu. I receive my order of three jalapeno peppers that were very well done and sauteed onions surrounding them. This is a wonderful way to spice up your meals, especially the beans and rice that are pretty blah. This dinner make up for the one nine years ago, and we will be back. Looking for Nicholas.
