    Quesa Birria Tacos

This was my first time trying birria and it was not a miss. Actually, everything we ate here was so delicious and such big portions. The outside looks pretty unassuming but the food was incredible and the staff were so friendly. I visit Charleston occasionally since we live about forty minutes away and I've found my favorite Mexican spot from here on out. It's all very flavorful and fresh. We will definitely be back!

The food was so good that I forgot to take a photo first. I enjoyed my chipotle burrito. The guacamole wasn't my favorite but it was still good. But their homemade green hot sauce was the true start.

We stopped here on whim after a trip back into town. The service was great. The place was clean, well designed, modern. The tables were weirdly low and far away in the booths. But, the food was amazing!! The chips were super fresh, warm and had that crisp with a flour feel inside. The salsa made me not even want queso like I usually do. My chimichanga was great. And my husbands steak fajita was well seasoned. Even tortillas were super fresh! The presentation was impeccable. Lunch was very affordable and we were out of there in 30 min. Highly recommend and will def stop by next time we are in town!

Love this restaurant. Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the valley. Margaritas are awesome. Taste like a margarita should -- not like kerosene. Had the Pollo Cancun, which was grilled chicken, ham and pineapple with rice and steamed vegetables. Chips and salsa are always provided as an appetizer. Again hands down the best in the valley

Excellent Mexican joint. Salsas are good, ask for their homemade hot salsa. Fajita chimichanga was excellent and I preferred the chicken over the beef.

Didn't think Mexican food could be as bland and tasteless as this. Wish I could find something good to say about this restaurant.

It's hard to mess up Mexican food, but the food here just tasted watered down. No authentic flavors.

I grew up in Tucson, AZ and I have travelled to Mexico many times. When it comes to authentic Mexican food, most (but not all) restaurants that are not close to our Southern border cater to American tastes. Pro Tip #1: If you want authentic Mexican tacos, they should be using soft shell corn tortillas and be topped with cilantro and onions with lime wedges on the side to squeeze on top. Look for the terms "street tacos" or "authentic tacos" and make sure they are topped with cilantro and onions. Pro Tip #2: If you like hot salsa, most Mexican restaurants will have it, but you have to ask if they have any hot salsa in the back. I ordered the Tacos Al Pastor (which is pork with spices and pineapple). They come on soft shell corn tortillas and are topped with cilantro and onions and have lime wedges on the side. Yay! I also ordered a lime margarita on the rocks with salt. The tacos were very good! I would order them again! My waiter was friendly and called me "corazón," which was sweet. Unfortunately, I accidentally found myself in Beaver, WV after having to avoid the last toll on the WV Turnpike, so I likely won't be able to come back to this restaurant. However, if I ever find myself back in this small town again, I will absolutely come back to El Mariachi!

The service was exceptional; I was able to speak comfortably in Spanish with the friendly waiter, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised to discover such a vibrant and inviting place, so far from my home. My quesadilla was vegetarian, stuffed with a generous mix of fresh, crunchy vegetables like bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions, and it was absolutely delicious. Finding options with truly fresh veggies is usually challenging, so this was a delightful discovery. I would love to visit again if I ever return to the area.

Voted best restaurant in Ravenswood...... by our family. And by the look of most of the other…read morereviews in Yelp, it's a favorite of other families too! It was a hot steamy 4th of July day when we made the trek to Las Fajitas. I mean, for this west coaster, the heat was brutal. I mentioned to my daughter that I can deal with dry heat, but throw in the humidity and stick a fork in me, I'm done. Heat is heat dad, she said. Deal with it. Then deal me out! But of course, I dealt with it, and thanks to the great folks at Las Fajitas, I wasn't dealt a bad hand. Ahhh a cool breeze hit us as we opened the door. That's worth five stars right there! From that point it only got better. Nothing on the menu chipped away from the LF's celestial lofty perch. Chips and salsa did their job and made us thirsty. Our drinks showed up promptly and mine, (beer of course) was frothy and cold. The orders of tacos, Fajitas, and salad, arrived at the table hot, and in the case of the salad, cold. All were spot on. I felt as if I were on the Mexican Riviera enjoying authentic Mexican cuisine. Now, to be honest, I've never been to the Mexican Riviera, but I have been to Mexico, and have eaten their food offerings. Some of which I was wary of, but not so at the Ravenswood Riviera. Our food was delicious and the aftereffects were limited to the normal..... I think you get the drift (pun intended). "Ole" to Ravenswoods finest! Enjoy what you're about to experience. Quick Tip: Las Fajitas is two stories. One connected to the other by a spiral staircase. Throughout our meal I was watching the servers struggling up and down. If you're not there to booze it up, give em a break and sit downstairs. I'm sure they'll appreciate your choice. I wonder if they ever thought of installing a dumbwaiter.
