Food was very bland, little flavor, not spicy like you'd expect normal tex-mex to be. A bowl of queso was very disappointing and was way overpriced at just below $8. I wouldn't recommend this food to anyone, was surprised to see anyone else there based on the quality. read more

this place just genuinely sucks all around. food is not that good, margs taste like they came out a dirty machine, and the servers are retarded and very slow. read more

I like this little place. The food is like if you went to the house of a Mexican grandmother and she made you dinner. I think it's always busy for a reason. I'll be back. read more

This is a long-standing restaurant near the town square. They serve up good Mexican/TexMex food. A large menu gives plenty of choices and service is fast and friendly. As others have noted it is very loud. If they would hang some Mexican style blankets on the walls it would improve the noise level. Also, tables along the wall are too close together. Those sitting on the inside can't get up unless the person on the outside gets out of their seat. read more

Waitress was nice. Food was marginal (at best). Place was loud and not nice on the inside. Margarita was a bizarre color and tasted of saccharine. read more

I called a bit late for a carry out meal 30 minutes before close but i kept it very simple with just 2 beef old style enchiladas a la cart and the asked her if i could get 2 salsas with the chips, which she replied with yes. she seemed very friendly on the phone. when i arrived i was relieved to see they were still serving their tables. i get home and i see that not only was the chip bag completely open but they had flipped a salsa upside down inside the bag. luckily the lid stayed on tight so i could see the lack of effort towards customer satisfaction. very truculent behavior because what is this??? Theres less than half of salsa in this cup! not the first time ive had or heard if others getting some sort of similar treatment. not happy with the overall representaion of this place or the way some of yall have been conducting yourselves. its a business serving food, not highschool. i even tipped her and now i wished i hadnt cause they cant even give napkins or plasticware, which they never do,?even when i ask for it. youre supposed to put TOGO supplies with a TOGO order It shouldnt even be asked for you should learn to do so automatically like the rest of the world.. not cool at all. read more

Consistently great food. Been going here for years and it never disappoints when the kids come home. It's their go to place.

We came to Los Amigas for dinner while camping at Bonham State Park. It is located just off of the downtown square in Bonham in a very nice location. The restaurant is fairly small and was full when we arrived. You seat yourself, and a table opened up shortly after we arrived. The food was good. We live in North Texas and eat a lot of Tex-Mex. Los Amigos was on par with several of the best Tex-Mex restaurants in the region. The wait staff were hustling and did a good job of not becoming overwhelmed. We didn't have to wait long for anything even though the place was very busy. The only downside is that the size of the restaurant combined with the hard, high walls made the room very loud. Annoyingly loud. Overall, a pleasant experience and we would return. read more

Very nice staff right In the center of town. Really fast service. I ordered to go and they still included a bag of chips and salsa which was really nice. read more

Cute little Tex-Mex restaurant in downtown Bonham. Fair prices for the quality. Nothing special, but everything is good. Service is adequate. No complaints, just doing their job as expected, and nothing more. Friendlier service gets friendlier tips. read more

I have been eating at Los amigos in Bonham since the restaurant opened many years ago. Up until this point I have delt with the service issues due to a lack of restaurants in town. unfortunately due to the increasingly worsening service I have decided to take my business elsewhere. There any several very big issues with this restaurant. #1 the fact that it is tiny any the noise level is horrible. You can hardly have a decent conversation. #2 good luck getting them to answer the phone for a pick up order if you don't want to dine in due to the noise. #3 when you get lucky enough for them to answer your call and they say 15min they actually mean 45min. The food hasn't changed a bit since ive started eating there. It's not fantastic but it's good for Bonham. I'm just tired of the crappy service. And honestly a change every now and then would be nice. read more

Amazing Mexican food and small town feel. We came from Dallas and stopped into Bonham looking for a quick bite. We were a little weary when we pulled up but were soon pleasantly surprised by the servers who were all very nice. Our server wore a mask the whole time and they adhered to social distancing by only seating every other table. The food was delicious and hot. The prices were great and everything was really clean. Our sever took great care of us! If we are ever in Bonham again we will definitely stop by! read more

I've never really liked anything I've ordered from Los Amigos. My family likes it, so I keep trying different things hoping to find something I like, but unfortunately never have. read more

We eat here almost too often. Great service every time and the food is always consistently good.

Los Amigos is a staple in Bonham and it's not hard to see why. The staff is welcoming, the prices are great, and most importantly the food never disappoints. read more

Great Little gem off the beaten path. Cheese/beef Enchiladas, bean soup and queso are amazing!! Great service, especially from a sweet little waitress named Nikki! : ) read more

If you blink, you might miss it! Homemade salsa is delicious! The food is scrumptious. I am a Mexican food lover! I will eat any Mexican dish that doesn't eat me first. I had deconstructed enchiladas and they were to die for. Sooo good. The queso is also very good. Definitely a place to stop for Mexican food in Bonham. read more

Los Amigos knows how to make delicious Tex Mex food! Fresh chips and salsa come with the smile and greeting at your table. The amazing queso and guacamole are too good to miss. My favorite is the old style enchiladas with sour cream sauce or the beef fajitas cooked a perfect medium at request. Absolutely scrumptious! read more

Service is quick and friendly. Food is always exactly what I ordered. Taste of food is consistent and prices are reasonable.

Love love love this place, totally Tex Mex, the cheese is addictive, the queso is the best in Texas hands down, the service lacks , if one places a phone order , when you pick your meal up, one usually stands at the counter, with the wait staff staring at you as well as everyone else in the restaurant , trust me the wait staff won't move from they're gathering table to help, they wait for the one who you placed the order with to help you, Which is usually Cindy, they need 6 more of her! The best about Los Amigos is the Food and Cindy! read more

Great food very noisy and busy! My go to foods are the beef enchiladas or the fajita quesadillas!!

Loved the service here! I called and they helped me twice to try to find their restaurant. It's tough because for some reason they didn't put the restaurant name in front of the store. There is a green onning on the front of the restaurant. Great beans and super yummy fajitas! When I return to bonham for hunting I will be returning here. read more

This is the best place in Bonham ever! The service was great and had really good food. Totally recomended!

The food is good, if you like Tex-Mex. If you order to-go, you better check before you leave. Something is always wrong with our to-go orders whether it is an item left out or something not prepared the way we ordered. read more

Every now & then while I'm at work, I get a hankering for some local mexican food. That is when I trot across the street to Los Amigos for a quick fix. Overall, this place has decent food with the typical menu selections of most small town mexican places. The salsa is pretty good, though every now & then it'll be a tad bit watery. My favorite meal here is the fajitas because they give you a massive amount of food for really cheap. Both the chicken & beef are yummy, so take your pick. Service can be a little hit or miss and I usually drain my drink before it manages to get refreshed. But all of the waiters are friendly, so that helps. Beware of the lunch hour as this place can get crowded quickly and then you'll be stuck standing around waiting for a table to clear. Thank you, Los Amigos, for giving me my mexican food fix quickly without charging me an arm & a leg! read more

Everything about this place was fine. No extremes here, good or bad. Food was okay, edible. Pico de gallo was only an option; didn't come with any meal automatically. Margaritas were green, so definitely a mix and not that great. Service was okay. She was busy as it was a Friday night. Had to ask for water twice. Overall, this place is fine if you are hungry and want Mexican food nearby. But if you are looking for a great meal with great atmosphere, there are better places. read more

Los Amigos - Looks and taste amazing! Shhhhh don't tell my wife I was eating this she will kill me for not taking her!! - Tex-Mex Near Me - Bonham, Texas

Great food, friendly staff, and the green hot sauce is wonderful.... We eat here usually 2-3 times a month.

Was disappointed with the food , service. We asked for the chicken and was served the wrong food twice. My son ordered the bacon and had a plate full of pork lard. I had the diet chicken which was alright . On the bright side the nachos were plenty and portions were very good. They need to improve the food taste read more

This is a great Tex Mex restaurant. Chips and salsa are fresh. The stuffed chicken jalepenos are one of my go to's, they are great and served with queso. The Bean Chalupa is outstanding as well as the Fajita Nachos. read more

We probably won't be back. The carne asada was horrible. It is quite possibly some of the worst food I think I've had. My plate, on the other hand, wasn't so terrible. The enchiladas were good. Judging from the other reviews, stick with the enchiladas. Everyone who likes this place mentions them. Everyone who hates it, mentions something else. Our experience here was no different. read more

I am a huge fan of the old style enchilada. It's probably bordering on an unhealthy obsession. That thing is sooo good!!

Great food, awesome service and prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be revisiting again in the near future.

This is a nice, clean Mexican restaurant with very good service and reasonable prices. After a not so good experience at another local restaurant, this place was recommended by a local. It is nothing fancy but we were impressed with the food quality and the reasonable prices. Our server made sure our drinks were never empty. We would go back next time we are in the area. read more

Grew up in Bonham, absolutely LOVE eating at Los Amigos. Great Queso! Great prices! Great service! Back when they first opened they had a lunch buffet on Sunday's. If they brought that back I'd upgrade this to a 5 star rating! read more

For a small town tex mex, food is good. It's like what I can make at home. If Los Amigos has signature dish, I haven't noticed it on menu, but food is good. It's a popular place for locals. Staff is friendly. Sometimes they'll walk by you & not say a word, when I'm at register to pick up a Togo order. As for food... They have a family meal that has faj, rice & beans, taq, jalepeno fried w/cheese, bean & chesse nachos. It's a lot of food for about $25. We order this the most. Always have left overs. The chips & tortillas are not home made, but they are ok. The salsa is ok. Queso is good. Not like some places that water it down so much it's nasty. We've gotten enchiladas before, the tortillas were really tough, so I don't order those anymore. I usually go in there or order after lunch, like 2 pm so maybe that's why enchiladas were tough. We haven't tried anything else but what I stated above. When we do, I'll add another review. The prices are very reasonable. Decor is bright & fun. read more

Food was ok but just be warned, one person smoking in there makes for an uncomfortable visit for the rest of us. Doubt I'll go back because they allow smoking. read more

How well you like this place comes down to perspective. If you're used to having really good Mexican food in your hometown or on the road, this place is not going to blow you away. Not by a long shot. But if you're used to having very limited options on Mexican, this place will do just fine. read more

We probably won't return but it wasn't the worst place. Sweet tea is good and the chimichanga was ok but not a whole lot of flavor. Queso is $5.99 for such a small bowl. Overall. I give it 2 stars. Bathrooms are super small and it makes it very difficult for diaper changing. No changing station. read more
