Nail in Papaya

On Sunday, I went and grabbed some cut up papaya because I was craving it. Unfortunately, I had no time to eat it so I opened it on Monday. As I was enjoying my papaya I come across a nail. Disgusting! I will not be buying from here any longer. I tried calling the store with the answer, just want to say, WEAR GLOVES! So disappointed and disgusted.

Watery, soaked food

This is a smaller store, but it has all the same food as the rest. Unfortunately, the Chile Relleno was a watery mess. The breading was too thin and the pepper and cheese were drenched in a watery red liquid. The only salvation was the rice, but the price for the combo was almost 9 bucks. This is a $5.99 combo at best or better yet, skip this item.

I stepped into this place and felt like I had journeyed to another land. A land where the party is not far away, the band is playing, the breeze is blowing through the bustling Mercado and the pinatas are swinging gently, their crepe paper tassels undulating in a colorful dance. I had eaten a short time before arriving here and wished I had waited to try some of the flavorful dishes in the cafeteria or outside where 1/2 chickens were grilling. The prices here on produce were not as cheap as Superstition Ranch Market, but they were cheaper than the local chain groceries. Great selection of dried peppers, seasonings and canned goods for my Mexican cooking at home.

Feels like I stepped into little town of Mexico when you walk into Los Altos Ranch Market! My favorite things about this unique grocery store that I will drive out of my way to find/get every time. 1. Fresh Juice(made fresh every day in different flavors) 2. Fresh handmade corn/flour tortillas(They were making these when I was in the store and bagging them for purchase. I believe I saw 80 count corn tortillas for 5 bucks! 3. Bakery treats.. corn muffins/ breads / donuts/ 3 milk cakes and many more! 4. Fresh chips & salsa.. need I saw more! Step away from the grocery store chain bags and experience authentic chips and salsa 5. Hot buffet of food choices.. You can not go wrong with the tacos(variety of different meat choices) (tip Taco Tuesday all Tacos are $1.00) 6. More hot buffet choices.. Wednesday's offering whole chicken with fresh tortillas $5.00 / Weekend please take advantage of Ribs for $5.00 lb Yum! There are so many options on the hot buffet everyday to make meal. 7. Seafood! The seafood counter is unbelievable large and has large selection of shrimp or fish or octopus.. plus much more. (Tip -- Get any whole fish fried at no extra charge) 8. Meat counter.. Full service with lots of get options of pre packaged meats for quick selection 9. Vegetable section.. super low prices with great variety of bulk bins for rice, beans etc 10. Service is so fast and friendly!

Awesome selection of fruits and vegetables, packaged goods, and fresh meats. The store also has a food court with various plates and family meals, and a juice bar with freshly made juice and aguas frescas. The different types of chicharron were tempting! There are quite a few meats and vegetables you won't find at your average grocery store and everything looked very fresh and well organized. Some other notable goods I saw on browsing were fresh Mexican style cheeses, ceviche, store made tortillas, packaged salsas, and a great selection of seafood.

Quesadillas and horchata

Every time I step foot in Ranch Market I feel like I've taken a mini vacation to Mexico; the music, the people, the prepared food, the colorful décor. I have to remind myself it's just a grocery store! But not just any grocery store. Some of the highlights of my trips, and things I suggest you try: * Sweet breads are right at the entrance * Prepared quesadillas * The produce section is abounding with fresh vegetables, fruits, and herbs * There is a huge selection of seafood * I can't get enough of the horchata, but there is an entire drink and salsa bar. I know the drinks are made fresh daily because I've been there at night when they're throwing out the remaining current day's batch, and the shrimp ceviche is outstanding. The prices are extraordinarily inexpensive, and the service is great. There is always somebody to tell you which selection of shrimp is the most fresh. Whether you shop here for your regular groceries, or if you're preparing for you next carne asada cookout, Ranch Market is a good trip.

Great place to buy Latino products. I love the mexican selection of products they have available. My favorite is the tortilleria, they have a lot of tortillas selection, all made fresh daily. The produce section has great affortable choices too. I buy a lot of produce here and have not been disappointed. The meat and seafood section. Is great too. I love their chorizo, ham, mexican sour cream and mexican cheese. The fresh fruit water is a great place to stop for a refreshment. Also, the cocina (food section) offers a great variety.

5 taco platter. All filling! Where's my tacos?! About 7.50. Chips are free
