A lack of eating choices in this funky dinky town called Diamond. It mostly sucks and there's nothing at all healthy to eat. Los 3 Burritos is among the few of these. Basic Americanized Mexican food. There's almost nothing else to choose from so it's pretty much this or starve so it sucks around here. It makes a nice stop coming off the Interstate and good for a fast drink and bite. Literally it's nothing special at all but you get pretty big portions. Get beer or pop to drink. They have beer like Corona and Modelo. It's $3.99 for a bottle. They have these big ass burritos and they're stuffed with lots of whatever. Burritos come in Regular and Giant. There's also the selection of proteins. I had a Giant Veggie Burrito. It's $7.29 and it's very massive. This has beans, cheese, potatoes, and rice. Leave off anything that you choose. The beans are a choice of black or refried. Also choose the potatoes. These are regular or Mexican, which is cooked in spices. Big ass burritos. It's conveniently off Interstate 55. The dining room is kind of filthy but there's a drive thru if you would rather not have to come in and sit at one of the icky tables. read more

Relocated from CA. Haven't found a Mexican food spot that I've liked out here until yesterday when I ordered from Los 3 Burritos. One of the best shrimp tacos I have ever had. They didn't skimp you on shrimp either. I suggest adding cilantro and sour cream. Al Pastor burrito was seasoned perfectly. Super nachos were plentiful and could not be finished between a family of four in one sitting. They made for a great lunch today. Felt like I was back home. Service was exceptional. Halfway through eating my cheddar burrito I discovered this. I don't know if it's maybe part of a band-aid or the remains of some packaging. It's stained in blood though and pretty gross. I vomited afterwards and needless to say could not finish the burrito. This is just nasty. I may have eaten more of whatever this was the remains of and not known. Customers beware! read more

This is a solid reasonably priced lunch option off Highway 55. I stumbled across it largely because of my gas light's get it soon or walk notification. It is located next door to Casey's Gas Station and has a drive through. I ordered a steak quesadilla and a elote in a cup. Yes, the corn and its fixings are served in a styrofoam cup. It was VERY good. Another reviewer commented on the length of time it takes when using the drive through. I waited about five minutes which is reasonable for made to order items. They were hot, filling and tasty. If in the area, definitely worth trying. read more

Our hotel last night was so terrible that we skipped the free breakfast, hoping to find somewhere clean as we headed North. Bingo! We found this little restaurant in Diamond. The food was reasonably priced and there was a sweet cashier. Driving during Covid often means there is a listing and it has closed. Thank you for being the clean, open restaurant in out storm. Awful awful awful. First, the wait was ridiculous. I ordered 3 steak tacos 3 chicken tacos and a tamale. Very basic food. Hard to screw up id imagine. Let's talk the tamale. It was mush and grainy on the outside dried and pasty on the inside. See my photos!! Ok, the steak tacos had absolutely NO seasoning on them. The chicken tacos were soggy and runny. The cheese on the taco was cold. It was like mozzarella cheese. This is not authentic Mexican food. Omg. I wasted 15 bucks on this garbage but I guess you get what you pay for. NEVER again. Great Mexican food that's close to home with friendly and quick service. The prices aren't too bad either.

Being from Chicago it's tough to find a decent Mexican restaurant out of Chicago but this place is pretty good the "caldo de res" or beef stew is very good! The food is ok but they are forever forgetting not to use cheese and sour cream when I ask them not to because I'm dairy allergic. When I call to order and explain that it's really important that they don't use any dairy they are short with me about it. And lately they've been forgetting to include hot sauce when I've specifically asked for it. I go constantly. Never disappointed until now. My order is unique but nothing outrageous. The burrito meat was dried out. My buddy had shrimp fajitas. The shrimp were over cooked and tasted like steak. The fajitas vegetables consisted of heaping portion of onions and 4 slivers of peppers. I raved about this place to coworkers, now I'm not so sure that the night cook and day cook (I mostly eat lunch there) are using the same recipes or cooking techniques. read more

After waiting 20 minutes in the drive thru line, we received an incorrect order. We arrived home discovered that the tacos and torta that we ordered with no lettuce, was covered with lettuce. Called the restaurant to discuss the mistake with them. Was told that we would have to drive all the way back in to town (from Goose Lake) to SHOW THEM that it was incorrect. Called and complained to the little girl who's family owns the place and she played dumb with me saying the manager says its too late to do anything now. Ok left that alone. Next horrible experience was today. Spent 32 dollars on soup, steak to bbq at home, and a burrito. My huband was so hungry that he took a bite out of his burrito 5 mins into our drive home and he Spit it out. He LOVES burritos so that's not like him. I took a taste and too agreed. The tortilla was similar to the frozen chimichangas u get from aldis... the steak was blan and tasteless. .. it was Awful!!!! Pulled around and parked in the parking lot to call and complain to at least change it for something else and was told that is unacceptable that they tasted the steak and there's nothing wrong with it. Poor customer service. Customer is always right!!!! If u serve something that cannot be eaten because it makes your customer gag the most humble and respectful thing to do is offer to make the customer happy in replacing their order. NOT THEM. They are rude, greedy, and will argue with u that they will not replace your order. Needless to say we had to throw away the burrito and the soup my mom and I ate gave us horrible stomach aches. We will be making calls this week to complain to the bbb. They are thieves and take no pride in making their customers happy. I've just recently started going here, after noticing it but not really giving it a chance (mostly because I thought it would take too long in the drive through). Not only is the food significantly better than I expected (I recommend the California Burrito, it is Excellent!), their service is awesome. The young woman that takes my order is always in a great mood, and I'm through the drive through with better food and speed than I have ever gotten at the local fast food joints. I had a Diet Coke in a can and it had an expiration date on Jan 4,2016 (today is March 25,2016. The salsa has zero flavor.
