One of the best surprises for anyone with a gluten sensitivity is that all of their happy hour drinks are gluten-free, which immediately took the stress out of ordering from the separate menu. While the menu does not explicitly mark items as gluten-free, the staff is extremely knowledgeable, and we discovered that a great variety of happy hour options can easily be made gluten-free. I kicked things off with the Roja sangria before moving on to the frozen trio. Although the Paloma was not freezing properly at the time, the bartender was wonderfully accommodating and expertly crafted a custom margarita using those delicious Paloma flavors instead. My trio featured the coconut agave margarita, a Paloma made with the classic margarita base in guava passionfruit, and a spicy mango margarita. For food, we started by splitting the dip trio, paired with chips that are safely made in a dedicated fryer. We also ordered tacos on corn tortillas, sampling both the chicken pastor and the traditional carnitas, and every single bite of the food was delicious. Although they do not carry any gluten-free desserts, the server offered the birthday girl one of her choosing. Between the accommodating service and the stellar food and drinks, the entire gathering was a huge success.

My sister noticed the beef in her dish was tough, must have been an older cut because mine was fine. The interior atmosphere is copied from a Magdalena spot I visited some years ago. The Tuesday tacos are amazing. We came in on a rainy Friday late afternoon to enjoy happy hour and catch up with friends. Our…read moreserver was very patient with us and didn't rush us. The first drink I ordered was delicious. Their signature old fashioned is made with mezcal and had a nice smoky flavor. The 2nd one was definitely off and the server mentioned something about it being different and that I should taste it. It was overly strong and it didn't have the same taste as the first. I just poured the ice from the first drink into it but I really should have sent it back. Cocktails are $10 during happy hour but otherwise they are $16 and not worth getting in my opinion. The happy hour guacamole trio was okay but there was no distinction between the three types flavor-wise. The ceviche presentation was nice but it also lacked flavor. The tacos were more flavorful but small. They were nicely presented. It is cutely decorated inside but the music made it hard to talk because it was too loud. I probably won't be back when there are better choices in Geneva for the same type of food. I want to give it another half a star but I chose to round down rather than up mainly for lack of flavor, bad 2nd drink and higher than necessary pricing off the main menu.

We also had their Al Ceviche which was very good in presentation but not much flavor. I also tried the Al Camaleon tacos which were 4 small tacos of grilled shrimp, bacon, lime, garlic aioli and avocado. Flavorful but small in size for the price. You definitely want to try to go for Happy Hour as their prices are high and portions are small.

Time to be seated was less than five minutes for a party of four around 2:20 PM on a Sunday; busier times or days enforce their 90 minute time limit policy per table. The food was well seasoned, wish I tasted it a little more on the meat itself, yet all the vegetables tasted crisp and fresh. If you are looking to have intimate conversations be prepared to speak a lot louder, the DJ booth by the front keeps it pretty lively, but difficult to hold conversations across the table. Open authentic Mexican soda is always refreshing, and if you're looking for a place that has soft serve margaritas this is one of them.
