Our consultant, Daphne, was a great listener and thoughtfully evaluated our situation and concerns (light filtering vs black out for an upstairs guest room with high windows and skylights. Our concerns were insulation/energy for this project). She measured using a laser system which is fast and extremely accurate. She also brought her own ladders. We looked at my wall colors and she gave me her opinion as I was on the fence. Within a few days, Daphne sent a detailed quotation including several options as I wasn't sure which way to go. The quotation included information on the lifetime warranty, US-made product, and Costco Shop Card (which is truly awesome!) We made our decisions on color and styles and were able to pay/place order online. Daphne came back out as soon as the blinds were received and even managed to squeeze us in despite the busy holiday season. I should mention Daphne was personable, efficient, and extremely professional as I remembered her and her meticulous attention to detail when she installed blinds for several projects at our previous home. He Just Blew Me Off For Five Months…read more I am a single woman looking to get my bathroom and bedroom remodeled. I called Dreamaker in early January wanting to set up an appointment to come out and give me an estimate. A man named Ron Faber called back and came to my house to evaluate the job then sent me an estimate on January 18th and I decided to hire this company to do the work. He said he would call next week but never did. When I emailed him on Feb 8th to see why there was a delay, he said one of his carpenters was out and apologized. He asked to come by and re-measure on February 12th which I agreed to then he made an appointment for me to come into the office and make decisions about what I wanted for hardware and cupboards and countertops on February 19th at 10:00 in the morning. When I got to the office, he was not there but I made the decisions with one of the women who work in the office anyway. On March 7th he emailed me that there was a fiberglass shortage and my remodel would be delayed until June. I thought that was weird but agreed to wait. On April 24th, I emailed him because I was trying to figure out my schedule for the coming months and he told me that actually, they would tentatively be able to start May 21st and he would call me next week. Next week came and went with no call and the week of May 21st came and went with no remodel. I emailed him on May 30 to tell him that I don't want to do business with him and his company because he is not a man of his word and I was obviously not a valued customer. I don't recommend Dreamaker for doing a remodel. Ron Faber just blew me off and I was stupid to waste five month of my life waiting for a company that obviously didn't value my business.

I've never purchased furniture at Samuel's myself but have accompanied friends who have and have, myself, been impressed with the selection of quality items and the staff who helped in my friends purchases. On October 15, I entered the store in search of an end table for a particular spot in my house. I was greeted by Mr. Van Den Berg. I explained what I was looking for and we moved around the store but found nothing that seemed right. He suggested I look around and he proceeded to sit at his desk. As I walked by, I saw an interesting piece that was near where he was sitting and was obscured by a fake plant that sat on top. It was marked "Hue Round Stool" # 12532 or 928419. It was made from laminated wood that made up a conga drum-like "stool". The glue had obviously failed from severely shrinking wood and there were cracked seams around the entire item. The SALE tag showed it to be marked down to $119 from a regular price of "$259". It was in very bad shape for the quality of what the store sells, but it was perfect for what I was looking for. I asked if it could be marked down more and I received a cold and emphatic "NO". I was tired of searching for the right item and agreed on the "as-is" price. While Mr. Van Den Berg was writing up the sale, I noticed on the attached tags that the original price tag indicated that the regular price was $199, not the $259 which was the MSRP. The sales tag was blatantly misleading. I pointed it out to Mr. Van Den Berg and noted that this "table", which was really a stool and would have sold at a garage sale for $20, wasn't even half off. All he had to say was that he would point this out to management. I proceeded to pay for the "table" since it was what I was looking for even though it was, in my opinion, over-priced. I asked if it could be carried to my car and he said he couldn't do it and nobody else was around. I carried it myself. I have to say, I am happy with the "rustic" table, but not happy with the experience. Most people would have seen this item as something to use in a garage or IN the fireplace. So much for my taste in furniture. I feel that I took it off their hands and would have praised Samuel's for selling it at a reasonable price.

Having been told all product was on sale, found mine not listed on the flyer. Go figure.Manager extended sale to my product. recieved my decking a week later. Noticed a few with damage from strapping. Once I opened the load, 10 of 38 boards had serious scratches, some had imbedded rocks, 3 of 4 fascia not usable..at $100 plus each, handling in the supply chain and shipping leaves a lot to be desired. Sales guy got Timbertech to cover and replace. After nearing completion, needed 4 more boards to finish, specifically asked for new product. 3 of 4 came scratched...again, also realized I had been sold a supersize box of hidden fasteners for 500 sq ft...my deck is 250....so half left. $480 a box..vs. $299 for 1/2 box....so out another $180...yeah, sorry about that man....not going to talk about the inconsistencies in color, thickness, quality of the framing wood.... People seem friendly enough, just not quite customer centric.
