The atmosphere, farm animals, cocktail hour-like intimate setting before dinner were unique and enjoyable. I think this is what really contributed to the experience. It is really unlike any other dining experience I've had. The farm is just breathtaking. And the views of the Maine mountains is perfect. Watching sunset was such a. Treat at this quiet little rural farm. The hosts/owners bob and Mary are impressive to say the least. We got to meet their dog along with cool farm animals while sipping on some cocktails. At 645 Mary called us to dinner. It was truly like being at a dinner party at a family friends. This was not your typical night out for dinner. The food was phenomenal and so high class and delicious. It's a weekly menu. Always changing. I can't express how special this place is. Thank you for such a great dinner.

Lovely spread of local cheese, crackers made there, smoked trout, sweet pea hummus. Allows everyone to mingle, explore and enjoy bar selections. Time to sit for dinner, well paced- each course was fantastic! Fresh sourdough bread, fresh salad, roasted baby potatoes, greenbeans and thus night monkfish with roasted pepper sauce or roasted sirloin- both great! Though full, excellent coffee/tea and molten chocolate cake with strawberry and cream. We left table to take in the most amazing sunset during dinner and drove home happy to have spent evening with the Burr's in Mercer!

It was my birthday dinner…read moreand was so disorganized, everybody was leaving plates of food cause it was inedible and it took forever. You eat family style which isnt my fave but in particular really isnt my fave if youre starving and running on a few 2oz shots of cider as there is no beer, wine, full pours of anything or even water? We sat at the end of the table and when the main entree (chicken) came out it was put in the middle so by the time it got to us we got about 2 bites of gristly thigh- and then the "chef" had the audacity to ask if we were full?! It was pretty clear that there was no edible chicken or pureed vegetables by the time it got down to us so when they cleared plates that didnt have food it should have gone without saying. We had to go home and order a pizza, mainly cause this took so long everything was closed. For the price point you could actually eat food you wanted almost anywhere else in Maine. I didnt feel comfortable complaining as it is generally not necessary in fine dining establishments and would have been rude in such a setting, particularly as we were sat next to a business associate of the chef. Such a disappointment.

We had flights and tasted all of their ciders. Ironically our mutual favorite was a hopped cider. It was literally the only one we liked. At least for now, it seems they should stick to wine. The man working there was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. It was a great experience learning about the ciders and speaking with him, just wish they tasted better. They have a little seating area outside that was comfortable and nice to relax at.

All of our guest commented on how beautiful the winery itself was, and from the moment they arrived the atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and elegant--exactly what we hoped for as we kicked off our wedding weekend. The team at Seven Birches was outstanding. They were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything ran smoothly. We opted for a wine and cider tasting, and the staff was very friendly and made sure the entire process was easy and seamless, allowing us to truly enjoy the night with our loved ones. The wine and cider were both amazing, and after the tasting most guests stayed to have another glass. In addition to our welcome party, Mark and the team at Seven Birches also helped us create our own red blend and white blend for the wedding, complete with personalized labels and everything. Not only did this help us create our own special touch for the wedding, but also it was a great opportunity for my husband and I to learn more about the wine making process and all the intricacies of what goes into it. We had a great time and our wine turned out delicious! Whether you are considering visiting Seven Birches Winery just for fun or for any event, we cannot recommend it highly enough. The team helped us create the perfect start to our celebration and a memory we will cherish forever.
