The food sounds really good; and, the menu looks completly full of everything you may be interested in ordering, if you have been traveling, are with family, or a local looking for somewhere new to dine. the value here is good, and the employees are super friendly, the place is nice and clean. I like the music in background too, its quiet here, but it helps muffle the conversations in background. Nice touch! My family and I recently visited Lorenzo's for breakfast, and while there were some positives, the experience left much to be desired. To start, parking was convenient--we found a spot right in front of the restaurant. However, the sidewalk leading to the entrance was dangerously icy, and both my mom and I almost slipped on the way in. Later, another customer even returned to warn the staff about someone else falling and suggested salting the side walk, which clearly needed attention. Inside, had big windows to bring in a lot of light and had lots of room for any size party, we were seated promptly, and our drink orders were taken quickly. Our waitress was new and learning the ropes, which we understood, but her inexperience showed throughout the meal. I ordered coffee and the steak chilaquiles, but unfortunately, the dish wasn't to my taste--the chilaquiles had a sour flavor, and the steak tasted reheated and tough. While service on the other hand, although we were the only customers in the restaurant for most of our meal, we only got checked on once near the beginning. It took two requests to get extra napkins, and we struggled to get boxes or our bill at the end. Eventually, we went to the front register to pay even if it meant leaving behind our leftovers and another server had to locate our waitress in the kitchen in order to ring us up. While I appreciate the prompt seating and patience with a new staff member, the overall experience between the safety concerns, disappointing food, and inconsistent service--just wasn't my cup of tea. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish or came at the wrong time, but unfortunately, I wouldn't be in a rush to return. read more

Lovely lunch. We had cranberry chicken salad with lots of crisp apple pieces and lettuce, and an order of three shrimp tacos that had broccolli, with cups of soup on the house. Nice touch. Best restaurant in town, there's no other viable choice walking distance from the Inn on Sheridan. Service is good, the inside decor is pleasant (don't judge by the exterior), and the Mexican and American-Midwestern standard choices are all fine. Never really crowded, prices are easy on the wallet. I think maybe breakfast is their forte, but lunch is good too. read more

We're staying at the Inn on Sheridan a couple buildings down and decided to walk down for a late breakfast. Situated inside a building with other businesses it was easily accessible and identifiable from the road. After inquiry we learned this husband and wife run business has been open for about six months. The restaurant itself looks clean, fresh, and welcoming. I thought I smelled cigarette smoke walking to our table which others in my party didn't notice but gave me concern about my clothes smelling smoky. We were greeted and seated promptly as there was only one other couple in the restaurant at the time. Drinks were brought immediately upon ordering. The coffee ($2) was bold and welcoming as we sat and talked in our small group. I ordered the Meat Lovers Omelet ($11, ham, sausage, bacon, cheese) which came with toast and shredded hash browns. It was a generous portion of food that I couldn't finish without gorging myself. I like others in my party love the shredded hash browns but felt they could've been cooked longer as we prefer them crispy. My son had a sandwich and salad that he enjoyed but felt the sandwich could've used more mayonnaise as he finished it. I reminded him that he could've asked for more, not that he was complaining. Service was great with coffee and water refills consistently provided. We waited for the check only to realize they tally the bill at the register and pay it there when ready to depart. We typically like to review the bill at the table prior to paying so this register process creates room for error. It's a nice sized place with what appears to be an enclosed room for parties if desired. An ok visit, not great but not bad either. I would maybe ask for crispier hash browns in advance next time, along with additional mayo to perfect my meal selections. read more

The food was delicious I had the Denver omelette and it was so fluffy and well mixed with the cheese every bit had everything. My kids really enjoyed the fries they had a good taste. I decided to take out today from lunch and went with a local Business. I ordered the Lorenzo Skillet. I decided that if it has the restaurants name it has to be amazing. I have to say it arrived quickly and got so that's always a plus. However the flavors were just okay. Not terrible but not memorable either. With that being said I may order a second time to see if it will change my review. 6/10 read more

My Chilaquiles smelled so amazing I couldn't wait to taste it....and let me say, the taste was amazing!!! Definitely the best chilaquiles I've ever had!!!! The homemade green salsa, the spicy and flavorful chorizo ( you can get it without meat or with steak, chicken or chorizo). My wife had the Lorenzo Skillet with steak....the steak was so tender, it melted in your mouth. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The service was friendly and attentive. We dropped by today. It was raining and we wanted a warm brunch. A gentleman at the counter told us it was going to be a very long wait because he was short of staff. I don't think they have waiting seating area available. Something in his manner made us understand we weren't welcome there. It felt weird. And we left the place, went back to our car soaking wet, and promised ourselves never to go back. I simply don't understand why you would run a restaurant and open up on Sunday to reject customers. My sister and I stopped because we had heard good things and we were not disappointed. Clean and cute, friendly staff. Service was a little slow, but that was no problem for us because we were having a lazy Sunday visit. I had steak and eggs which came with hash browns and an English muffin. My sister had the breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast. All the food was very good. Tender, flavorful skirt steak, curdy scrambled eggs, tasty hash browns and bacon, english muffin with melted butter in the crevices, and rye toast that tasted like rye. Nothing fancy but very well cooked and seasoned. We really enjoyed it. I love going out and getting flavorful food. It doesn't always work that way. Hello all, I would like to preface this review by painting somewhat of a picture for the viewers: I was in Zion for a training and was given about an hour 15 for a lunch break. I quickly googled nearby restaurants for lunch and was drawn to Lorenzo's. The close location (less than a mile) and simple menu gave me the belief that nothing could go wrong. I arrived at the restaurant and discovered a small amount of customers. I assumed the brunch rush had just left and the restaurant would have no issue accommodating to my party of 6. Boy was I wrong. We were quickly sat down and brought out waters. However, 15 min went by without being asked if we wanted anything else to drink. I particularly only drink water, so I was not bothered by this mistake. We placed our orders with approximately 50 minutes before our training. We assumed our food would arrive with plenty of time to eat and make it back to class. Once again, we were sadly mistaken. Approximately FORTY-FIVE (45) minutes passed before our food came out and we had no choice but to leave most of it behind to rush back to class. A mishap with checking out led to even more of a delay as we were charged for 9 meals instead of the 6 we ordered. It should be noted, all meals were put on one check to speed up this process and even that failed... we rushed back to class (12 minutes late) and embarrassingly had to interrupt the presentation to find our seats. It's a family owned and run place that gives it a kind of quirky vibe, but it is super clean, hospitable and really solid, good simple food.
