We just moved to Onaway about a week ago and tried Bobby B's because we heard it was the "best…read morepizza in Onaway". We were pleasantly surprised and agree...it's fantastic!! Coming from Kansas, where we had many pizza places we were skeptical, but we walked in and ordered one afternoon and talked to Bobby while we waited for our pizza. He makes his own dough, hand stretches it and yes, tosses it in the air. He has a variety of toppings including green olives!! We loved that he puts a ton of freshly shredded WI cheese on it!!! Bobby doesn't skimp on toppings!!! After he put the pizza in the oven he told us a little history of our new town, greeted his customers by name when they came in to pick up their orders and pulled out the most amazing smelling pie for us in under 30 min. He asked if we wanted the crust brushed with garlic butter so it would taste like breadsticks - YUM!! I even ate the crust and I hardly ever do!! It was crispy and delicious!! This place was once a cute little shop with arcade games and two pool tables. A typical old school pizza place Sadly, it's carry out only since Covid and Bobby only has a part time helper on weekends so be sure to place orders early or you will have an extensive wait!! He opens at 4pm. Don't miss out on deliciousness when you're in driving distance of Onaway!! This one is a hidden gem!!! Bobby gave us a to go menu and said he would know if we liked his pizza or not - if we come back. (We placed our next order four days later)!!

Wood Winds has the look of an old school diner, with tasty pies available by the slice in a glass display. They also have excellent cookies and assorted nicknacks for sale. But the meals are the real attraction here. I ordered a Reuben, which I always do when I want to get a lay of the land. It was perfect, with generous stacks of corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss, and buttery crispy marble rye. My wife got the chicken fajita wrap. She normally orders any chicken sandwich plain, but she forgot to ask for no peppers and onions. She loved it, since they sautéed them. Sandwiches and wraps are served with perfectly crispy fries. Not a scrap remained of either meal. The price was reasonable, and the food was ready in less than 10 minutes. We'll definitely plan to visit here again, whether the dogs are with us or not.

And we like to take family and friends there while we are at the cottage as well. The food is always great! We've never had a complaint about any meal at the 211 and, because we have been there so often, I think we've tried almost everything on their menu. And they also have daily specials that are always good. The service is excellent! They make you feel like family and our entire family, from young grandchildren to those of us in our 70's, love going for lunch or dinner at "our happy place", the 211 Bar and Grill.
