I come here about once a month. Typical small town diner atmosphere with about six booths, several tables & a few seats at a bar. Nothing I've had here has been earth shattering , but it's always solid food . Typical diner offerings with eggs, pancakes, sausage gravy. My best friend says they have good oatmeal, if you're into that kind of thing. I've never had any of the lunch offerings, so I can't speak to those, but they look like typical comfort food items: burgers, hot dogs, soups and chili, sandwiches. The food has always been hot, and the service has always been good.
I've been enough times that I'm beginning to recognize faces; the diner is frequented by a set of regulars. The owner is always present, and he greets and number of people by name. On some Saturday mornings, the Chicken Farmers perform old country songs. For two old guys, they are pretty good. Overall it's a perfectly adequate place to have a hot breakfast, meet some neighbors, and occasionally hear some good music. read more
