I recently moved from Minneapolis to Sedona and needed repair work for my gate, and was worried because I have two dogs that are escape artists and 89A is heavily traveled. Loren was able to work me into his schedule and had the needed part to fix the gate. I was treated wonderfully and would recommend anyone who needs help to contact Loren and his company. I am grateful and very appreciative. Thank you Loren and team! read more

I purchased two Garage Doors from this company approximately 15 years ago. From the very beginning, I've had issues with the doors, not closing due to sunlight. I have requested numerous times to have this resolved and they have never resolved it. I called again today and again they refuse to make a repair on an install that they performed 15 years ago. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

Highly recommend...the customer service was professional from start to finish. I was really stuck with my car in the garage and the door not working. It was Friday and I was not looking forward to a long weekend with the door partially opened. They were able to work me in, had the part and were able to repair. So thankful for the extra effort it took to get to me. They really know what they are doing. read more

We had to place our order in advance & pay 50 percent up front. Took about 4 weeks to get the new panels. The installation was done with attention to detail. Done in less than half a day. Cleanup was done nicely. They did a haul off of the old panels. We were pleased from start to finish read more

I was desperate, I called the office and spoke to the nicest woman. She reached out to her guys in the field and luckily they had just finished another job and she routed them to me. They went above and beyond to help me out! The guys were great, very professional and respectful, they came, they fixed the spring and then cleaned up and left. Very impressed with the whole level of Customer Service! read more

Prompt professional service call and honest with no attempt to up sell. As usual from Loren Vickers and the reason I am a longtime customer.

I was told they would call me between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. to fix my door, and that I would be the first appointment of the day. Blocked that time off and never heard from them. At 8:33 I called their office - Sarah answered and insisted that my time to hear from them was 7:30-8:30 - that was incorrect as I had documented our previous conversation. And it was after that time frame and still no communication. She asked if I still wanted them to come out - when i asked how long it would be since I had other appointments she said 15 minutes. Well it's now been over 20 minutes and they are not here and have not called. Technician showed at 9 - He was pleasant - Sarah in their office was not. I wouldn't use them again. read more

The spring on our garage door went out right before Christmas. He had someone from his after-hours emergency team over to our house to repair it within a few hours. Thank you so much! read more

Had a slight emergency with a tenant not able to get into the garage. They worked their schedule to be able to send someone out same day, gave me all the info upfront and did exactly what was asked, and at the price they quoted. Rather perfect contractor hiring experience! Thank you so much and I definitely plan to use you guys again in the future. read more

Our cabin is roughly 25 miles outside of Flagstaff. The springs failed, so the door was unusable. I called Vickers on Monday morning and they said probably Wednesday at the latest, and they would try to get out sooner. They called later Monday afternoon and asked if Tuesday morning would be okay. Tuesday, their serviceman was there promptly at 9 am ( as promised). Went right to work and an hour later, our very old door was fixed...new springs, serviced, with lubricant, tightening of all the door screws (wooden door), and done! The serviceman, Kyle, was polite, a good listener, very proficient, answered my many questions, and happy! A really good experience. Vickers is our garage service going forward! read more

I've used Loren Vickers for garage door issues for 20+ years. My door wouldn't open yesterday, a broken spring. Terri knew exactly the issue when I called and it is now fixed... less than 34 hours later. Kyle, the tech, called first and was here exactly when he said he would. These guys know their business! Highly recommended! read more

A big thank you to Casey at Loren Vickers for a smooth installation of my Liftmaster 8355W. On time, wearing a mask and explaining the job prior to installation. Great customer service experience and reasonable cost. read more

Fabulous! Fabulous! Carter Vickers of Loren Vickers Overhead Door, is wonderful to work with. A family owned business out of Flagstaff also operates in the north valley. Carter lives here in Cave Creek and has been exceptional to work with. He is very helpful, fast with repairs and costs are very reasonable. I cannot recommend this business more!! read more

Called them on relatively short notice to adjust my older garage door that wasn't functioning properly. Fully expected them to tell me my 30yr old door needed to be replace. Was pleasantly surprised to find out all it needed was an adjustment and new seal. Door works great now. I'm very happy. On top of all of this they went out of their way to meet my availability. Great company to do business with. Will call them again! read more

Receptionist Sarah made me feel like I was a burden with each interaction. Sorry for bothering you and sorry for missing your call. I know that the 10 mile radius in flagstaff is extraordinary so silly of me to think that your tech might actually show up even with a missed call. Thanks for sending him on his way so as not to interfere with your obviously busy schedule. Sorry that my wife took the whole day off only to wait for you and sorry that we ever called. Received same day service with a smile from a friendly gentleman who obviously cares about his customers more than you. Vickers overhead is not for the regular folks, only the elite read more

I recently called Loren Vickers Overhead Door to come out and replace the bottom weather seal on my garage door that was allowing water to enter garage. I agreed to the $115 per hour fee and was willing to pay for the cost of the new weather stripping estimated at about $70. They were very prompt in their response to come out right away. When the garage technicians arrived he looked at the weather stripping and said it was fine and I did not need to replace it. He opened and closed the door and lubricated the wheels and drive shaft. Then charged me the $115 to basically talk me out of installing the new weather seal. Water still comes in the door when it rains. I understand the one-hour minimum charge to come visit, but since they talked me out of the repair, I felt this was a rip off. Since water is still leaking into the garage, I dont feel they really did anything to help with the issue. read more

Terribly inconsistent. Sometimes you call and the girls answering phone are wonderful. Usually in the mornings. Then you call in the afternoon and the girls are rude snippy and quite unhelpful. The technicians seem knowledgeable but can't get the homes we manage fixed on the first go round. We always have to call them back to fix it again within weeks. Sad business practices read more

Whomever answers and places calls is so rude!! She calls my office and gives major attitude, and we use them all the time. Very bad business, they need to hire someone more pleasant and that's not carrying such a big chip on her shoulder. Because of her, I would not recommend them. read more

Awful customer service! I called to request an urgent service appointment when it was discovered that my garage door broke was holding on by just a couple screws. The lady who answered took down all of my information, asked what the problem was, and then said she would call me back to 'tell me what date and time they could come'. I asked if she could make the appt now and she said 'she didn't have the schedule in front of her and there were three other people ahead of me'. I explained that I may not be available to answer my phone when she called back due to work commitments which is why I was expecting to make an appt when I had time to call. She didn't care, never apologized for any inconvenience, and, 6 hours later, I still haven't heard from her. Called A1. They had wonderful customer service, was just as concerned about the door (especially with two kids in the house), and made an appt for the same day. I will never call Loren Vickers again. As an HOA board member in my neighborhood of 435 homes, I will encourage other community members to steer clear as well.. read more
