Friend got 4 guaranteed tickets for today (Aired 9/14/10). Guest were Ken Jeong & Audrina Patridge Buddy went early in the morning to pick up the tickets, we got 7-10 NICE! So we got there at 2:30 like we were supposed to and there wasn't very many people there. Parked, checked in with security and let the waiting game begin. About 430 they started letting people in- man there's a lot of walking...... There's also a dress code that isn't really enforced - the email clearly states "business casual" and unless I'm mistaken, flip flops & shorts are not "business casual". I would stress to the ladys to wear some comfortable shoes & bring a jacket. I thought I was able to man up and take the cold inside the studio, but it was FREEZING! i had to sit on my hands to keep em warm (whenever we werent clapping which wasnt often( There is security check again once you cross the street, its a metal detector, no biggy unless your packing some weapons. George doesnt really interact with us at all, Ive been to tapings where the stars would talk to us during the commericals and such, but George isnt like that - he acts like hes above us. I had the honor of accompanying my on again off again boyfriend to see him play on the Lopez show. (played bass guitar with reggae artist Shaggy.) The staff were amazingly nice and hospitable and seemed to be overall very happy people. The shows producer John Stewart came over and chatted while I was waiting for the band to finish rehearsing, I later discovered that he is Kristin Stewart's (from Twilight) father. I also met the air guitar champion of the world and he was super nice and funny too. I had an awesome time and was surprised by how nice everyone was! Got these tickets on a whim when I was a contestant on the Price is Right and Im' not gonna lie. Had the best time at Lopez Tonight............ Location: Warner Bros. Studio (Lot 8) Patrons: My boy and I were seriously the only two Asians there and let alone the only two none Latinos there as well. Except for the SMOKING HOT BLONDE MILF. OH EM GEE. GOD couldn't created a more perfect physical specimen. (Sorry.... Had to get that off my chest) Wait: It's like waitin in line for a Disney land ride but sadly no Fast Pass. The tapin' was for a 5:30 show and we showed up around 3:30. The tapin' was at 5:30 and we were let in about maybe 20 mins before the show....... studio: It's not too tiny but it's not too big. Since my boy and I were the only Asians in the crowd they stuck us in the far right section with the ugly people and the people who couldn't be seen. WHAT THE FUCK? We should have been in the center crowd with the smokin' hot blondes and the other folks....... Whatever.... George Lopez: One funny motherfucker. He always pokes fun of Latino People and he always has to throw in his beef with Erik Estrada. He has some funny segments like "What my audience tweets".. *Special performance with Pitbull/Neyo.....* SO AMAZIN... Well worth it and I was 20 feet from the stage when I heard them do their thing. *The only thing I didn't like was the fact that there was a lack of diversity in the crowd and how often times special treatment was given to certain individuals. Even at the end when Ne Yo/Pit Bull were performin. I tried to get closer to the stage but he said I was "TOO TALL" then again they had other Latinos who were my height in the same space I was tryin' to get into....... Hmmm... *Last but not least. I was the hype man into a commerical. I danced on stage for a bit and I got a signed autograph George Lopez poster by the man himself. So i wanted to go to a taping of a show 'cause i thought it would be neat. So i tried to get tickets to lopez tonight and got a confirmation email telling me i got them. So my friend was coming down from colorado that same day, the bf and the bff got the day off and off of work early, respectively. We got to the studios around 12pm and check in was at 11:30. Now, i'm not going to lie. this was totally my first rodeo so i didnt know how to go about it. The letter was VERY clear in saying that check in started at 11 or 11:30 and if we didnt get there before 3:30 then we were SOL. it also made clear that they overbooked and there was no guarantee of getting in. That said, the letter also made it sound like MOST people would get in. They even talked about having another standing room part so that as many people as possible could get in. I really had no idea that we had to like camp out there to get tickets. Anyway, around 12 we get to the parking structure and the security guy lets us in with a smile. we climb out of the car all excited to go to the ticket area, and we think its kinda funny that no one is around but okay whatever. We roll up to the podium and there's a note scrawled on a sheet of paper, "no more tickets. if you want to reschedule email blah blah" There wasnt even someone there! They just straight took off 30 mins after they said check in started and there were still all kinds of people rolling up. Seriously? K, so then I email to reschedule and ask if i still need to camp out to get the tickets when i reschedule..and guess what? i never got an email back or anything else for that matter. I thought it was funny that the security guard was right next to the area, knew what was up, and was just letting people in just to get their little hearts broken. I'm sure the taping is fun and stuff but the whole process is really wack. read more

WE HAD A BLAST!!! I read the Lopez Tonight reviews on Yelp before the show... so we had a pretty good idea what to expect. PLUS IT WAS FREE so our expectations about accommodations were realistic. I also READ all the information that was emailed to me before the show so we followed all the rules. It was an all day event, but after we checked in around 10 AM and got our numbers we went to downtown Burbank which is only a couple of miles away and next to a big mall. We went back to get in line and to have ID's checked. Then they started taking people in groups through the WB studios to the show. There were alot of VIP's who were taken in before us normal folk. I notice one guy who checked in before us actually ended up standing in the audience...so I don't know how they determine who sits where or if it's really based on first come first serve. Security is tight. A lot of the audience didn't want to wait around for an hour after the show to see a special taping of a performance to be aired on another day and we almost left cuz we were tired of waiting around but we were glad we stuck around. George was totally cool, funny and he interacted with the audience. We saw Steve Carell (the Office), Maggie Q, and the Back Street Boys...then after the show we were invited back to see P. Diddy (et. al.) tape a special segment to be aired on a different day. The Ese Vato band was the best live band I've heard in a long time and Ron, the warm-up comedian was hilarious...possibly the most entertaining of them all. One day later, MY CHEEKS HURT FROM LAUGHING SO MUCH. One more thing...the crowd was as diverse as the USA. It was not filled with gangstas...puleez. Every age, race, and sex was represented. There were probably more 20-smethings than any other age group. I'm 40-something and I went with my 18 yr. old son and two of his friends. We all had a good time! THANKS GEORGE!!! read more

Lopez Tonight, seriously everyone that has reviewed this is right. The wait here takes forever, they ask you to come early like around 1:30pm to check in and what not. We didn't get there till 3:30 which was perfect timing in my honest opinion, when we got there we waited like maybe half an hour, then they started calling people to walk to the studio. You cross the street, where you then are pretty much what seemed like line to get into a ride or something. It had railings, fences, TV's an d all that stuff. Again there was a lot of waiting, but once you make your way into the studio, it is seriously huge! Watching it on TV, it looks small, but being there in person its really big. I love how TV can make things look awesome, for instance...when a celebrity comes down the aisle of the crowd, on TV it looks like its a long walk way, but really its pretty short! We actually got great seating, and were featured on the hot spot, meaning we would always be on camera. The band George Lopez has, is amazing, for they play a lot of the top hit songs, and it seriously sounds amazing, loved it when the main guitarist went solo, mad skills! George Lopez during the commercial break doesnt chit chat with the crowd, he usually is talking to someone nearest him, or he goes to the back to probably freshen up. He did so some funny stuff during the show though, making fun of his camera crew, sometimes when they were fixing something he would do some stand up. Some of his jokes had me cracking up pretty damn good. Other than that, it was a fun experience, and I was expecting to be there for a long time, for they would always have to do re takes..thats what everyone says when it comes to tapings and all that. But seriously thought they only had to retake like twice, so it was pretty fun. read more

I love The George Lopez show so getting a chance to see George Lopez live, for what I thought would be at least 45 minutes, was pretty exciting. As a warning, this is definitely an ALL DAY event, so don't plan to do anything before or after because you have to basically be in the Burbank area the entire day. When you first get there (early - because they ask you to), you literally just check in a sit around for a couple of hours. You can leave and come back, but what's there to do around there? So you wait and wait and wait, and then you finally start getting in line to go to the studio. For some reason, we got lucky and received VIP tickets to sit in the second row, which was pretty cool, and we got to go inside the studio earlier than some other people. So once you get inside you do some more waiting and a guy comes out to entertain you and waste time before the show starts. Then he basically tells everyone they have to be really loud, and happy throughout the show. FINALLY after listening to this guy talk for what seems like forever, G. Lopez comes out. George was literally out for a total of 20 minutes, which was extremely disappointing considering how long we had to wait! The actual taping portion was very cool because Marc Wahlberg was the guest star and at one point G. Lopez messed up his line so we saw his "true character," but otherwise, it was just OK. The waiting is definitely not worth it unless someone you LOVE is on. The studio is relatively small so you get a really nice view of everyone, which is nice. It was my first show taping, so if this is what it's supposed to be like, then count me out! read more

Holy crap, people who want to see this show are insane. Talk about having to check in early. We got there at 11:30 because my friend kept pushing me to haul ass. Glad we got there when we did because they only seat 400 people inside and we were numbers 385-389. OMG. They oversell A LOT and the wait is un-fucking-godly. Seriously, you get there at 11am and have to sit around and wait until like 3 or 3:30 when they check you in, then you have till like 5 to get seated for the taping that's at 6:30. They make you wait outside in those areas where you line up that make you feel like you're at Universal Studios and waiting to go on the Jurassic Park ride. That being said, he has an amazing studio. The largest I have ever seen for a taping BY FAR. I was so amazed at the sheer size of that room. Good, loud music, crazy lights, good band, etc. Since we were so far back in the line, we all got split up, but we knew that would happen and it really didn't bother any of us. The dress code is also really whack. No logos, no all black or white, no open-toed shoes, no plaid, no stripes, no crazy designs, no hats, people in your group are subject to be split if you're all wearing the same color, and a bunch of other bullshit. I understand "business casual" but they didn't even enforce it at the end of the day. I wish I had known that, because I got there and everyone was wearing flannel and logos. Figures. read more

this is an all day event ! i got tickets for the show but there is a lot of waiting involved. went to the monday show and got to burbank from san diego around 130pm and waited in line till check in which was a nother hour and then got our "vip" ticket and waited another hour till 330 to wait more and then walk to the studio and then wait again and wait and wait!! good experience but idk if i can wait for that long! studio was really nice. unexpectedly sat front row where we actually saw ourselves on tv which waws really cool. got a hug from george lopez which caught me off guard. idk if i would do this again but i am requesting for tickets to other shows. overall it was cool read more

I went to see George Lopez at San Manuel Casino last night. What a joke. The seats where not elevated and they were sold out. In essence, you got to see him on a television screen cuz you certainly could not see him over the heads in front of you. My seats were at the $75.00 level although the $85 level was just as bad. Poor opening show, the comedian was not refined like George Lopez and used way too much profanity. I'm not a prude when it comes to profanity but he used it when it so was not necessary and the timming was definitely off! Will not go there again for a show! Felt ripped off. read more

ok we got tic kets to the lopez show to see shakira!! first time in the show , but we love G. lopez. we went to pick up the tickets exact at 0930am, they open at 10am... i though that it will be a lot people but we were hardly 10 pp waiting. we got the tickets at 10 and we went back home to change, get ready for the show! they do make you wait outside but is not too bad...everybody is sitting. then we walk a little to get to studio, it was Not a lot of walking! and i had really high hill shoes! the studio is really cold, but a jacket is enough...i did even wanna wear my jacket so i show my dress! well...it was not tooo bad. They do a great job keeping the audience entertained while george gets ready for the show, the band is phenomenal!! george lopez is great! he is funny as hell! i love him!...but his head is sooo freaking big! really! lol he was super nice with the fans, he hug some pp and gave some t shirts. i did not care about the t shirts! The whole exp. was amazing, i can wait to go again! Lopez is such a funny guy! the show last a couple hours, but it goes so quick! I think it was worth it, the energy is amazing! George is really funny and looks like a crazy guy! cara de loco! he is one of my favorites! sooo all the cold and the awaiting was worth it!!!
