Went during grand opening, which should be the time when a brand new business shines. Honestly, we had low expectations to begin with. They had an IPA, a golden pale ale/wheat, and a red on tap. The IPA was cloudy, and lacked the characteristics and the freshness of an IPA. What a person sees inside the glass is as important as it tastes, and it tastes as bad as it looked. We've had better IPAs from a friend's garage. The golden and red were okay, but would not order it again. When asked about their beer and brewing process, they seemed more annoyed than passionate, and you can definitely taste their lack of passion and care in the beer. Overall, the beer is not impressive, and the space looks unfinished and undecorated. We will not recommend this place to our friends. Update: after 6 months, we decided to return back. Their beer and atmosphere has much improved! Go try it out! read more

Stopped by here after a day at the Vancouver Farmers Market. The brewpub is literally a block or two from the market and across the street from the Hilton. They don't serve food except for a few bar snacks like the Low Bar chex mix and chips. At this time you can bring in your own food, minors and dogs are allowed and there are a couple of arcade games to keep you busy. The beer is good and I'm not a beer person. We had the taster and can see why their Ninja IPA won gold within 8 months of the brewery opening. Way to go! The all around experience was good. They also fill growlers and growlettes to go so take advantage of that. My favorite is the summer ale. Delicious. read more

I love this place. It definitely seems to be where the locals go (I'm new in town). The beers are some of our favorites in downtown Vancouver. The layout of this place is oozing with character and familiarity. Great place for families, group of friends or somewhere to watch some fantastic live music. read more

Loowit Brewing - Brewpubs Near Me - Vancouver, Washington

I've been raving about Vancouver breweries for a while now, and this is one of my favorites in town. They not only have several delicious beers on tap, but they have free arcade games! I spent a good amount of time playing Mortal Kombat III, and they also have a Street Fighter machine and Gauntlet. I've honestly never been to a brewery that has free arcade games, and it's a definitely a good way to encourage people to stay longer. I tried a flight of their beer, and my favorites of my choices were the Shadow Ninja IPA, Saturnalia and the session IPA Roll for Experience +8. It looks like they do a lot of weird/experimental beers, which I am always in the mood for trying. They have a large seating area that includes a bar, a restaurant-style area and a more open area where the arcade games are. It's great for different occasions, and if the games are too loud and obnoxious you can always move. Service was extremely friendly, and they had absolutely no qualms with breaking a twenty so I could get change for the parking meter. I also got advice on what beer to try out, and a cider for my wife. Overall this was a great visit, and I look forward to coming back. read more

Great little brewery in downtown Vancouver. They've got about 6 of their own on tap. I think their specialty are IPA's. However, I know their summer ale with raspberries won awards. It's not real fancy. Really anything goes in terms of ware when you come here. I actually saw 2 men in kilts here and a man with a purse. You can bring your dog, baby, or leprechaun. Anything goes here. I was a big fan of the beer and the service is always excellent. There is no patio :( The only other thing I wasn't a fan of is the bathrooms. They were gross and could use a little tender loving care. read more

Great environment and love the live music by Dan Eagan was amazing! No food served here but that's not what we came for. Lots of beer on tap I tried the Moon Knight Porter, X2. Amazing! read more

The Food is just as good as the beer. I definitely recommend the burger. Pretty cool that all of their beer comes out of this one location. These guys work hard and their quality proves it. read more

Low key and fun place to go for a beer and a sandwich. I love their potato wedges instead of fries and their coleslaw is one of my favs in town! My husband loves their burgers with their Blue Hawaiian lager. read more

Was a great space with board games, pinball, darts. There was outdoor seating and tons of beer options! We did not get food this time, but it smelled great! Would have given 5 stars but the bartender was not pleasant at all. She made it clear that it was her Friday, and that she was off in an hour and she could not wait to get out of there. read more

I had a taster tray and liked all of the beers that I tried. I will definitely be back up in the summer time to grab a growler of the fruit beer- Vandalia I think it was called. Anyway, the fruit flavor wasn't overpowering or cheap tasting like other fruit beers that I've tried in the past. The berry flavor was really fresh. Being that I am not a big fruit beer lady, I feel in LOVE with their Lucid Golden Ale. YUM. Easy drinking and tasty-tastay! The IPA was good, but nothing exciting to write about; I prefer a Humble IPA or one of Amnesia's IPAs. I'll be back though. I like that they made good use of the extra space and have an indoor food cart where you can get some grub. The owners/beertenders also offer pretzels if you get the munchies while you hang out. read more

What! This is number two. Beer is good. Atmosphere sphere is good. Families are here. Data are a big draw. I tried the shadow shinobi which is there flagship. Decent nothing to write home about. The Preciecence of the dawn was very good but no growlers to go. The douppel bo read more

Great Brewery! One of my all time favorites. I recommend all beer drinkers need to step into this brewery whenever they're in the Couve. read more

I had never been to Vancouver before but some out of town friends were here so I had to come see them. This place is so great!! The beers are delicious, good variety, and super friendly staff. We had a great time sitting at high top tables chatting, sipping brews, and playing darts. Next time I'm in the area (I'm sure I'll be back, downtown Vancouver is so cute!) I'll definitely stop by again. read more

Great atmosphere & drinks. Beer is brewed right there. Very knowledgeable staff. Right across from the Hilton hotel.

Friend from home was in town on Monday evening and staying at the Hilton Vancouver directly across the street from Loowit Brewing. As big beer drinkers, we were glad we wandered into Loowit. The MacManus Brothers Irish Dry Stout was great. It was thick and rich to the last sip. My friend did the Ninja IPA which was also good but too hoppy for me. I preferred the Tiger Squadron Pale. Bartender was friendly and gave great suggestions which is what you want when you're new to a place. She even told us a few good places to fill our bellies. So, little tip to those who like me are not used to a city closing down at 8 pm on a Monday, um, Vancouver shops and restaurants apparently do. Drank and chatted with some regulars 'cause everyone else in the place was a regular. Great welcome to Vancouver. read more

Stopped in while in town for a meeting. Beer and food were great. There was a nice outdoor seating area as well as darts and arcade games. Hope to come back on my next trip to Vancouver. read more

This place is making great strides. They've added an outside seating area, food, and best of all, their current offerings on tap are now quite good. The strata hopped lager showcases that hop in a clean background and is well done. "Aero plane over the C" is a classic C hop ipa, but is really a fine example of a well made citrusy IPA. The pub is fun but getting my ass whipped at darts repeatedly got old. read more

My favorite local brewery. This place is like Cheers in a way.. Lots of repeat customers.

Just tried to visit this location and upon walking in I was told very scathingly that I was not allowed to park in front of the establishment. I said that there were other cars parked there and there were no signs posted. She said I was not allowed and that I needed to find somewhere else to park. I left. I have some gift cards but probably still won't go back. read more

Good beer choices here. The atmosphere is okay - a bit noisy and the ubiquitous TV's were on a really annoying channel. The main complaint was that it took 50 minutes for our food to arrive at our table, and that was after waiting 10 minutes in line to order. At least we got the beers right away. They need more people working there, even two additional people would have made everything so much smoother. The food was good- I had a burger and my wife had a salad, and they were above average, I'd say, but nothing special. We may try this place again, but with so many choices who knows. It's definitely not a spot to get a quick meal- be sure to have plenty of time if you're going here. read more

The beer is delicious. The food was great. I was really impressed with the bar tender/waitress. It appeared that she was the only one working and she multitasked like a pro. She was taking orders, pouring drinks, checking on customers, and was very friendly and never complained. Our food (and drinks) came out in a timely manner, despite being short staffed, and we had an awesome experience! All sorts of folks were there- young, old, families, people with dogs. It's a very inviting atmosphere. We watched a soccer game and looked at the local artwork on the walls and had an enjoyable time. I'll definitely be back! read more

Loowit Brewery is at the tip of southern Washington. It is a small brewery with big beers...

I had the worst experience at this bar. The atmosphere was great but the staff was absolutely horrible. They did not even acknowledge me or ask me if I would like anything. Therefore I choose not to order anything. I will never go back there again and would not recommend it to anybody. read more

This place has gone to self serve too. Order at the bar and leave your card, which I am not fond of doing. Bartender had a nice manner and smile and brought our food. Happy hour had a limited but inexpensive menu. We had a regular burger for $6, a salad for $3 and a cheese sandwich for, I think, $4. I had their house IPA, which was pretty good, and their hazy IPA, which was also good. 16 oz beers are $4.50 and 12 oz for $3.75 on their 3-5 happy hour. Three TVs with no sound and some kind of rock. read more

20 beers (well, including 2 ciders) on tap that are super delicious, plus a relaxed vibe that my family could sit and play a card game. Very knowledgeable bartend (brewer?) who informed us about brews and was happy to give us samples. Someone described it as a hipster vibe but I thought it was just chill and fun. Arcade and a couple board games and darts available also. read more

Love seeing a new local brewery in Vancouver. The beer is quite good too. I know it is difficult for those struggling to hit the nail on the head, and I see it in the staff. I do like that they have offered a tad bit of food from the Hilton next door. I don't expect them to open everyday for people as it is mainly a local production brewery. It's great that people can hang there and get a bite. They also get many nice local eats there and great BBQ to pair with their beers. I would like to see a larger variety of beer styles at this point and date. Also a more energetic staff that cares would be great as well. I often feel as though they are always tired and want to go home. Not too inviting. That's my main beef I guess. One of the first beers, the CBA (Cascadian Brown Ale) Couverino is still my favorite beer from them. I can hang with that brew over anything else in a 50 mile radius. It's just a solid drinker. The Shadow Ninja IPA has been stellar at times, but not always consistent. Once I had it, it blew me away... other times, it seemed a bit off. Though a rather new business, I like to give people time. This is coming from a local customer, and one who reviews and expects local backlash. That's what I do. It's constructive. I hope it helps. But the feel in the taproom has sometimes been a tad off. Beer and cheap growler fills at times isn't always everything. The free-play arcade machines and darts is a bonus though! read more

Quick and friendly service. Modest dishes. A huge variety of beers to choose from! Literally across the street from the Hilton.

Awesome beers at reasonable prices! Plus an open, social brew house! Can't ask for much more from a brewing co.

The Shadow Ninja IPA was to die for! The bartender (didn't get her name) was super friendly. But, the best thing is that I could bring in both of my pups. They loved the attention and I loved to socialization. Truly a treasure for Downtown Vancouver. read more

We attended during the grand opening. It was a packed house! Looks like Vancouver approves of this new little gem in downtown. Great beer, even a yummy hard cider as a guest tap, and fast, friendly service. I loved that one of their staff even knew sign language. Really nice space and good bartender. Beers were pretty good. Liked the Blonde, the Scottish Ale, the pale, and the IPA. Free video games and steel-tipped darts and regular live music seem like this would make a good regular spot. read more
