Do you need a replacement Blackberry or a casing for it? How about a Bluetooth keyboard for your iPad? Whatever popular accessory you need for your phone or gadget, you can find it at Unicel. Located at a small nook of a store near the Greenbelt1 movie theaters, Unicel stocks mostly (there are some "class-A" ones there too, be sure to ask as some may not have a warranty) original accessories for your Nokia, Samsung, Blackberry (do people even still use those?), and Apple devices. I once bought a screen protector for my iPad mini there, and it was deftly installed by their lone saleslady. I forget her name, but she's quite professional and courteous. Believe me, this is important, because there are some stores near Unicel that are less than pro and can be a bit rude. Unicel also stocks a number of accessories like the new iPad charging cables (Lightning cables), casings, styluses (styli?), and even those "fisheye" lens attachments for your iPhone camera lens. UPDATE: Unicel has unfortunately closed down over a year ago. Kind of like how almost a couple of years ago I signed up for Yelp, told them I couldn't meet the 40 or so reviews within their deadline, so stopped at around 20 reviews, but didn't get paid a centavo for what is now uploaded here. Thanks, Yelp, for being as untrustworthy as everyone else!

And I think it took me about 1 year (or more) to decide on whether I should really take the big leap. Throughout my research phase, I was asking everyone I knew where they bought their laptops. Majority of my friends and even family members told me they rely on but one certified Apple distributor in the country, iStudio. I was actually thinking of buying my laptop abroad but when I went to iStudio to check out the prices, I ended up reserving a unit that week. Not only are they very keen into telling you about the international warranty of Apple, their service is superb! You can ask all sorts of technical questions and for sure someone will be able to assist you on this. They even hold free basic lessons on how to use the Mac if you're not familiar with the interface! Tip: I got my unit at a very good discount because if I paid in cash. So take note of this the next time you're thinking of getting an Apple product.

Plus, like with all Asus laptops, it's basically "plug and play." Everything was going well until I saw this line/break on the screen. :( Of course, I went to look for a service center in Megamall. Yes, there is a Asus service drop-off center in Megamall. They informed me that they will receive Asus notebooks and Eee PCs. Then, these units will then be sent out to Asus Authorized Service Providers for diagnosis and repair. Sadly, that will take about a month before you get you laptop back. That was too long for me not to have my personal laptop. Thankfully, another store told me that I should go directly to ASUS World to have my laptop repaired. At ASUS World, I explained what were the problems with my laptop and showed them the receipt with warranty. After filling up a few papers, the representative told me that they would contact me when my laptop was ready for pick up. Guess what, after 3 days, I receive a notice telling me my laptop has been repaired. They had to change the screen and, after diagnostics, repaired a few parts. Since it was still under warranty, I did not have to pay for anything! Woohoo! :D I am happy with the center's convenient location and efficient staff. They even told me that I am still under warranty until June 2016! All in all, I have nothing negative to say about ASUS World's services. :)

Though not a 2-storey building like its flagship store, the shop still excites the young'uns obsessed with anything retro. Fujifilm's trademark film cameras are available other than the Instax which comes in different colors and a few other designs including Hello Kitty and Minnie Mouse. Other than products catering to Instax and film camera owners, Wonder Photo Shop also offers tripods and camera bags, although that's about the only thing that could possibly catch the eyes of the male crowd. This store also provides a photo developing service, so no, non-users of Fujifilm are not entirely banned from this photography boutique.

When I returned after 30 minutes to claim my prints and USB (which contained important work files), they couldn't find my USB anywhere and, on top of that, Anna had printed the wrong images. I was told that Anna had already gone home and it seems that she took my USB with her. What made things worse was that they did not have Anna's contact number, and all they could do was message her on Facebook. The supervisor, Aris, and everyone in the store was very apologetic about it, but this kind of thing is unacceptable, especially since it concerns artwork/important work files. When I went back the next day, Anna didn't even apologize or bother to explain what happened. When I finally asked her, she said she took my USB because she didn't want it to get lost. I told her that I hadn't claimed my prints yet, and so I was actually going back to the store, and that they also have my mobile number in the form that I was asked to fill out. She had no answer to that and remained unapologetic. So it was a bad experience all in all. Store management was poor and inefficient, and Anna was very sketchy and unprofessional.

I asked around but all the shops I went to said they only have the older model, and many thought that that was actually the latest model. Until I went to PC Express. I've already had good experience with PC Express in Gilmore, the discount hub for personal computers. Well, PC Express is a tad pricey compared with other PC shops in Gilmore, but in the case of Southmall, the branch there seemed to be the most updated and well-stocked. And, they had all the available colors for the tablet I want. The staff was accommodating and friendly, too, even directing me to other shops where I could buy the screen protector, the casing, and the powerbank.

After doing my research, I got a Starmobile Up Plus, it only cost 1/ 4 price of high end phones. It has great specifications and boasts the latest operating system and ready to compete with other brands. After several months of using it, I haven't had any problems with it, no lags, and no system issues. I downloaded kid friendly apps for my daughters so they can learn or play with my phone while I'm busy preparing lunch or doing house chores, the problem is I can't get my phone back immediately and they usually fight over who gets to play first, so when their ninangs came home from abroad and blessed them with some cash to spend for whatever they like, they bought a few toys and clothes, and requested for a tablet too. Since I don't want to give them expensive brands until they're a little older, I bought them the latest Starmobile Tablet and they loved it, Now almost half a year has passed, both of our Starmobile gagdets are still working in good excellent condition, even after several falls, spills and throws.

Cable Monster is a chain of mall kiosks that have all sorts of cables for your phone and other devices. It's really a pretty convenient store as they do have all sorts of cables/cords that are compatible with most devices. And, if you're particular with colors, their cables come in various colors so if you're lucky you can get one that matches your phone's color, if color-coordinating things are important to you. Their prices are a bit steeper than CD-R King, but I would really opt to purchase cables here as the quality of their cables are much better and are sturdier than of course their cheaper alternatives.

They have racks upon racks of cellphone cases, more than enough to allow you to change your cellphone case every single day. One delightful discovery is the charging and data cable that I purchased from them. It's one of those flat types that don't get tangled up. This is perfect for the " burara " types like me who just shove and cram everything in my bag when I need to go out. No chance of you retrieving your cable only to find out that your pens and USB dongle has hitched themselves to your cable. And it is one of those fast charging cables which is a big plus for me. My charging time was cut into half. They also come in several colors from the conservative gray, black or white to the more flamboyant neon pink, avocado green and neon orange. The cable is such a steal for its price that I returned to the said store four more times to purchase more cables for my officemates. The staff are also very friendly and accomodating. They make sure that everything you purchase is in good order by having you test them to your satisfaction. With stores selling cellphone accessories sprouting like mushrooms everywhere you look, this is definitely one that I won't hesitate to go back to.
