This is where I…read morewrote my requirement papers, did my research, Power Point presentations and printed my 100-page thesis. My laptop is just too heavy to bring to school especially when commuting. What I like about this computer shop is it's fast internet connection and well maintained computer units, despite having a Windows Vista operating system up to this date. Although, I think they should upgrade their OS already, their computers haven't failed any of my usages yet, so I guess there's really no problem with that. I even go to Isko until now whenever I had to upload some huge file on the net. My "12 hours remaining time" of uploading at home is just minutes of waiting time with this computer shop. It definitely makes my computer life efficient up to now! Most people who go here use computers for academic and professional purposes, (I'm not sure if they allow gamers here but I haven't seen one in any of my visits) that's why it has a somewhat library feel, perfect for writing and researching. The staff in Isko is also commendable for being professional with work. You can count on them to trouble shoot any technical difficulties that you may have with the computer that you're using, plus, they're also very alert when it comes file printing and logging in and out of costumers. Rates are only P10/hour of internet, and around P2.00 - P5.00 for their black and white and colored printing. Really cheap compared to most internet shops in the metro. Everything in UP Shopping Center is cheap, anyway, so go there if you're looking for budget computer, photocopy and printing services.

This place has always been more consistent in giving you a peaceful, less heartbreaking experience with your banging out your paper to beat a deadline. It's probably how they've managed to survive staying in the prime spot of the UP SC. The place looks clean and straightforward and business-only even if the person beside you'd just be watching cat videos on Youtube, butyou will easily tune out his laughter while you struggle to contain your tears here. It's comfortable enough and you have a lot of breathing space to calm yourself down with while you juggle browsing your readings with one hand and trying to make your paragraphs look coherent with the other. You appreciate that they don't try to squeeze you in with photocopiers or bookbinding services, so you know you're just getting what you need: a cheap, proper internet connection, MS Office, and a reliable printer. Isko, Kompyuteran ng Iskolar ng Bayan is really just focused on your getting the work done, and you'd realize all along that their name is a tribute... to you.

Great prices and excellent aftermarket support. Highly recommend them for your Apple needsread more

Not counting unpredictable online promos and price cuts for older models, Liteware Computers offer…read morethe best prices for Apple products. I bought a 13-inch Macbook Pro from them, and they offer the Philippine standard for Apple warranties. Just recently, I also bought a 64gb iPad Air 2 from them, and I got it for 28,000PHP, which at the time was a very good price (this was back in January, so it was a new model). Today, you can get a 128gb iPad Air 2 for less than that from online retailers (kind of annoying and sayang, I know). However, I don't regret having bought the iPad that early because it's been helping me a lot with work. Liteware is also a great place to buy cases from. Especially when they're on sale, their prices can go as low as half of store retail prices. That's huge, considering how important cases are for these expensive gadgets. What I don't like however is that Liteware charges extra for credit card payments and installations. That's a huge turn-off because a consumer shouldn't be paying for a STORE to provide an alternative payment option. Not everyone wants to travel in this wild city with 31,000 pesos in cash (the price of the iPad Air 2 had the store manager not made the mistake of telling me I wouldn't have to pay extra to use my credit card), and it should be the store's responsibility to protect the consumer because that money is going to end up in their cash register. Anyway, even with the credit card additions, the prices are still lower than SRP's, albeit by only a small amount. The staff is also pretty accommodating and helpful, so that's a big plus.

It was a good thing my I was with my friends who also had some free time. We decided to relive the good old times and play some classic Counter Strike. We went to this place near Katipunan. Some of my gamer friends recommended it. When we went inside, it looked like a high-end computer shops because almost all of the PCs were running DOTA 2, which really required some good hardware and I was impressed. We proceeded upstairs to a room with about 20 computers. It had ample ventilation and the PCs had a very user friendly internet cafe interface. We just had to enter the codes we got from the cashier after paying and we were good to go. (For people who would like to frequent or frequent this place, it's advisable to get an account that you can reload for easier access.) We were about six people in that room and we were the only ones there. It wasn't sketchy at all. We just had a really fun time shooting each other in the game and organising our strategies. It was like high school all over again. Aside from renting computer with good hardware, quality games, and internet connection Blue Skies also has a PS4 and Xbox with kinect for rent. Perfect for the console gamers or group of friends who want to dance.

One barometer that they failed to add is that you should have at least once been to Blue Skies. Blue Skies is practically an institution in itself. That shop has been there for decades already and was able to withstand the aggressive expansion that's plagued Katipunan businesses. Sure the shop was a lot larger back then, but the important thing is that it's still standing. If you feel like reliving your glory days, you might be in for a rude awakening as the interiors have really deteriorated and smell like cigarettes. The computers are old and some are rundown. The place is chock full of nostalgia but all those memories aren't enough for me to stay and play here anymore. Funnily enough, Marlon, the guy we all know and love, is still there and will cook your pancit canton for me.
