People keep saying that you're not a true Atenean if you've never eaten at Manang's, had a caterpillar fall on you while walking, or had a Ferriols or Dacanay class. One barometer that they failed to add is that you should have at least once been to Blue Skies.
Blue Skies is practically an institution in itself. That shop has been there for decades already and was able to withstand the aggressive expansion that's plagued Katipunan businesses. Sure the shop was a lot larger back then, but the important thing is that it's still standing. If you feel like reliving your glory days, you might be in for a rude awakening as the interiors have really deteriorated and smell like cigarettes. The computers are old and some are rundown. The place is chock full of nostalgia but all those memories aren't enough for me to stay and play here anymore.
Funnily enough, Marlon, the guy we all know and love, is still there and will cook your pancit canton for me. read more
