Worked with Andrew (sales) last week and although we were not able to agree to a price ( with finance manager John) Andrew worked hard to gain our business. He responded quickly even after hours and on a Sunday when we didn't expect him too. I wanted to get him the sale but it's didn't work out. If you are looking for something they have, give Andrew a chance! read more

I inquired about the 2016 Lexus ES350 they currently have listed and drove an hour and 45 minutes to check it out with every intention of purchasing it in an all cash transaction today. The salesperson, Maleah, was great during my initial inquiry over the phone and when I arrived to take the vehicle for the test drive to an independent mechanic I'd selected using Google and Yelp reviews, located 15 minutes from the dealership location. I'd had the same make and model I'd purchased elsewhere in August of last year(I was rear ended and that car was totalled by the insurance company) so I'm very familiar with it). The car at Lookout looked and drove better than I'd hoped, but.... After it was inspected, I learned it had been driven 2000 miles between the current mileage at the time of inspection and the mileage listed in their ad that I'd responded to. At some point in between, the ECU had been scanned and it pulled a couple red flags(at best when the vehicle came into their possession when they performed the inspection they claimed to me they had done when they bought it) and at some point prior or after the dashboard warning lights about the ABS system had been reset so they no longer appeared. After an extensive discussion with the independent mechanic who performed the pre-purchase inspection, I was still willing to consider the vehicle but was advised to check and find out fron a Toyota dealer what was needed to repair the vehicle to ensure it would pass the NC inspection necessary to register it. The part is $1200 and with labor the repair cost would amount to over $2000. I went back to the delearship with apprehension to purchase it but was advised by the independent mechanic that everything other than the now known ABS issue should keep it in consideration. In good faith, I informed Maleah about the findings from the inspection. She returned with a man named John(who neither considered the findings from the inspection to adjust the selling price so I'd be accepting the responsibility or consequences of taking the vehicle as is nor suggested the necessary repairs be made by them to make the vehicle road worthy legally after state inspection). They were put on notice about the issue. Hopefully this review will ensure they correct it prior to selling the vehicle to someone else in had faith. This is the first bad review I've ever been compelled to share. I'm doing it with the hope that anyone considering the purchase of that vehicle(or any others offered for sale by Llokout) reconsider, especially without having an independent inspection performed elsewhere first. read more

Going back to ask why I was charge for oiling my doors lmao amongst other things when just want oil change and tire rotation but LOOKOUT FORD TOOK ME FOR A RIDE AND NOT IN A FORD VEHICLE read more

well they are friendly, but they won't deal on their vehicle, the salesman tells you what you want to here and says to call anytime you need something, well that was a lie because I've call and left several messages for our salesman to look for something that we think we left in our trade -in and also my wife thought she left her credit card there but I'm still waiting on a response luckily my with found her card but he could have at least called an said it wasn't found so the salesmans word is crap after he sells you a car read more

2 hours ago New I brought my car in over a week ago to address a fuel leak. Initially, I was informed that the issue was with the port injection fuel rail and that it would be resolved by Monday. However, here it is Thursday, and my car has been misdiagnosed. It appears that Isaac the technician and Colin the advisor overlooked the actual problem, charged me $1,600 to fix the wrong component, and continue to deny that a misdiagnosis occurred. Now, I'm being told that I need to pay additional fees to purchase the correct part and that my car will require more time in the shop to address the real issue. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and I cannot recommend this location for service. Whether this is a tactic to extract more money or simply a lack of expertise in diagnosing their own vehicles, I am deeply disappointed. My experience here was absolutely amazing up until this point. read more

We went to sell a vehicle to Lookout Ford. We left that day with a bill of sale drafted and signed by a manager. We were instructed to return the next day for payment since the cashier was unavailable that day. We arrived the next day to find that the check didn't match the bill of sale and they refused to honor/adhere to the signed bill of sale. A Google review led the 'owner' to reach out via a comment on the review. Per the recommendation we called and spoke with a manager named Scott. He was short tempered and refused to discuss anything with us. He signed off the call with "Good luck, PUNK," before abruptly hanging up on us. After picking our jaws off the floor, I've made it my mission to warn all future potential customers! No deserves to be treated this way. This was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had and I'm from California! I highly recommend going to another dealership unless you like doing business with untrustworthy, disrespectful individuals. read more

Was sold a 40K vehicle that was missing a headrest. When brought up to the manager, Gavin, he told me to kick rocks. I know me or the salesman should have noticed...but I didn't until the next day, when I talked to the salesman he told me a headrest had been ordered. I come in 2 months later and the sales manager acts like he has no idea what I'm talking about. He then says he can order it and take it out of the salesman's paycheck. I call 2 weeks later to take him up on the offer and he acts like he never said those things and that I'm just gonna have to order it myself. I've been nothing but lied to since I walked through the doors of lookout ford read more

Lookout Ford ATTN: Lisa Cruse, Parts & Service Director 5557 Highway 70 West Morehead City, NC 28557 Ms. Cruse: We are safely home after an 11-day trip to the Outer Banks, thanks in part to your Service Department. The morning of September 18, 2020, we were preparing to take a quick excursion from our RV park on Roanoke Island only to find that our 2007 Jeep Liberty would not start. After an unsuccessful attempt to jump start it, we decided to tow it to our next scheduled stop in Newport, NC, and see if we would get a diagnosis there. I did an internet search and called your dealership. I initially spoke with Rebecca Hawkins, explained our situation, and asked if there was someone available to run a diagnostic. She was very personable and sympathetic and promised to talk to Richard Lee. She was prompt in getting back to me, to say to go ahead and bring it in. We heard from Richard the next morning, September 19, about needing a replacement part and that it would most likely be Monday before the repair could be completed. Knowing that we were RV'ing and dependent on our towed Jeep, he was most kind to find us a dealership loaner car. On Monday, Richard was off-duty, so we talked with Zac Chandanais. He made sure the repair was done by the end of the day, Monday, September 21. All in all, we cannot say enough about the attitude and service of each person with whom we had contact. They were sympathetic to our being stranded on the road away from home, and went above and beyond the call of duty to get us repaired and back to enjoying our Outer Banks excursion. Thanks again to Lookout Ford for their assistance in time of our need. Sincerely, read more

Great service they were a life saver when I need a break repair while on vacation. Thanks.

Lookout Ford salesperson offered a fake price on a vehicle. Double and triple checked to be sure the price was right. Salesperson admitted that they made a mistake but it came at a cost to me. I took off work and canceled another vehicle purchase to purchase the Lookout Ford vehicle that never existed. I lost a day of work and I lost the other vehicle that I had lined up and canceled buying because it sold while Lookout made their mistake. Their mistake came at a considerable direct cost to me. Not sure if there was unethical sales practice that took place but definitely a mistake was made that cost the customer and the dealership has made no effort to make reparations. read more

DONT DO IT! Doesn't deserve a single STAR. If you get something in the mail that says you are a winner, even in the numbers match. It is a lie!!! LIEEEEES. We drove to get some so called prize and it was not real. Not at all. The man sat there and talked talked talked. Asked for my information and NOTHING. It is a lie! In addition to this, the location the people were all questionable. Don't trust it. Not for a car. Not for anything. read more

Just moved to Morehead city recently and have a Ford F-150 that is still under warranty. I usually like to have the dealership handle my vehicles mainly b/c they know the vehicle and keep good records. This is the 3rd time I have tried Lookout Ford. Once for oil change, 2nd for sync service and lastly for an oil change, alignment and check on some strange noise coming out of the front end. The service has gotten progressively worse. That was the last time I will go there. With an appt, they never got to me vehicle on the day I dropped it off. No call from service and no clue what was going on when I called looking for it. When they managed to get around to it the following day no one could or would explain they delay or what had been done. Completely incompetent. Better off anywhere else in Morehead. Curtis Chevrolet, anything. Go at your own risk. read more

Severely disappointed with the way our family was treated. We are a military family that needed a vehicle right away. Went in ready to purchase and felt like we were shoo'ed away, as if they didn't want our business. Tried making a deal and they wouldn't even consider any of our offers. Very unfriendly, inconsiderate people. read more

Got a 2018 Toyota Corolla for 13,700 dollars out the door. Pretty good deal. I was shopping for a while and this price beat any other dealerships offers. Haven't used their service center yet so I can't say anything about that but Dean their salesman is very helpful and the financing guy (big burly guy with the mustache) is very helpful too. He even went out of his way and offered advice on how to pay my loan off early while avoiding the interest charges. Definitely not a bad dealership for first time buyers. Good employees who seem to go out of their way to help out. I can't say the same for some other dealerships in the area. read more

After reading the reviews, and seeing how old they were, I thought I would form my opinions. My recent disappointment is over a price that I had confirmed with an employee there and was later told something else. This has left a very poor taste in my mouth that they can't even honor a price. With this being said, they have lost my business. read more

Complete joke, the customer service is crap if you have driven off the lot. I have my vehicle repaired twice here and it's still not working I'm on repair 5 for the same issue and in another state now. They will pass you off and try to shift the blame I needed up getting a cop rate letter from ford signed by the corporate attorney and this place still won't help me. 100% do not buy from them unless you want nonstop pain and the sales manager will laugh at you if you stand your ground. read more

Service at Lookout Ford has always been top notch - professional, courteous, and accommodating, but last week was beyond our expectations for any business. A year and a half ago in March, we brought our truck in to Lookout Ford in Morehead, NC because it overheated. They fixed the heating system which included a new thermostat. Last week, more than a year and a half later, the check engine light came on because the thermostat went bad. It had a one year warranty, so we expected to pay for it. When we got to Lookout Ford to pick up the truck once the repair had been completed, the service manager said there was no charge because they had replaced that part a year and a half ago, and although it was no longer under warranty, the part should last longer than a year and a half. They also changed our oil for free (for Service Bucks we earned on that previous repair), and then they invited us to join them at their employees' Thanksgiving feast. We will be buying our next truck from them. read more

This was the second time I have taken my Escape there for an oil change. I had an appointment scheduled for 1pm. When I arrived, I asked for the shuttle to drop me off at the nearby shopping center so I could run a few errands on my day off, thinking the oil change would take an hour, tops. By 2:30, I had not received a call about the oil change but was done shopping, so I called for a pick up. When we pulled in to the lot at 3pm, my car was off the lift. I did not cash out until 4:15. Three hours and fifteen minutes for a scheduled oil change?! The customer service was alright but I was not offered anything but a terse "sorry", despite the fact that every 15 or 20 minutes, I was told my car was "almost done". I get it, the place is under renovations but you're better off going somewhere else. read more

My first experience was with a transmission issue..ended up purchasing a torque converter, two days later transmission locks up! 1000.00 down the drain, being frustrated as i was and after hearing the GM say "OH WELL" sorry,i take my (excellent well maintained pick up truck)to a reputable certified transmission specialist...he immediately shows me two bolts left out of the torque converter installation...second issue...during my first visit i signed up for service specials by giving my email and received a 50.00 credit towards next service visit,i had moved on and forgiven and decided to get oil change, technician tells me my brakes are in need of replacing...a few days earlier i already had new ceramic pads installed....these folks are apparently on sucker patrol, i was going to order a van for my business,I'm shopping elsewhere and will warn anyone to drive pass this dealer read more

Lookout Ford really helped me last Saturday. My car battery died, had to call a tow because it wouldn't hold a jump, and I was 3 hours from home with a wedding to attend later that day. I was as stuck as stuck could be. John was super nice when I called in advance and explained the situation and said "have if towed here and we can take a look for you.". I was so grateful they were able to accommodate me on such short notice, and I did not purchase the car there. They ended up replacing my battery and got me back on the road within a couple hours. While I waited, there was a clean restroom and hot coffee with snacks in the customer lounge. They also made sure it wasn't just a battery issue. I was back on the road with no issues and I was even on time for the wedding. I am forever grateful for this dealership and will absolutely contact them when I buy my next Ford. read more

I had an appointment for an oil change and a tire rotation for my Ford escape. I purchased the extended warranty when I bought my car and these services are covered under my warranty. I have had this work done previously in April at this dealership with no problems. today, the service manager would not honor my warranty and presented me with an estimate for $336 which included charges for the oil change, tire rotation, transmission flush and general inspection of the vehicle. I asked why I was presented this estimate and was told that they had never heard of my warranty. I have only driven the car 11,000 miles since purchase and should not need a transmission flush at this time. I called Ford Customer Service and explained what happened to me at this dealership. They said that was not right, but they could not make them honor my warranty. Ford confirmed that my warranty is good for 3 years or 36,000 miles whichever comes first. I will not be back to this dealership again. read more
