I made a service appt online on Dec.22,2024 for Dec 30 2024 got the text message that the appt was set. Went in on the date the dealership never recieve my appt never had this problem at Trent GMC. The dealership said that this is a problem so they need to fix this or take down off line very disappointing. read more

Family member of mine purchased a used $38,000.00 2017 GMC Yukon here, drove it 7000 miles and then suffered catastrophic engine failure. $5-7K to repair. Dealer has done nothing as of today. I would stay away from this dealer in particular and GMC products in general. read more

Service depart attitude and management is horrible. Owners appear to tolerate this demeaning behavior towards customers. Needs to fire everyone and start over in the service dept. read more

I took Truck for alignment and was not done right refused to even look at DO NOT HAVE SEVICE DONE poor workmanship. And if you want service after sale you should not buy here. read more

Service did not do half of what I requested and charged an astronomical price for what was done. Avoid at all costs

Purchased a 2108 Chevy 2500 on 2/21/23. Joe the Salesman was very courteous. We were presented a clean carfax, no accidents . The drivers seat had some ware and they replaced it with a new one. Next day I noticed the heated seat were not working. Not a big deal, it's used. 2nd day I noticed a crack on the right rear quarter panel that was not there when i purchased it . I took the truck back the following Monday 2/27 to have an appointment scheduled for the seats and have the crack in the quarter panel looked at. Turns out the quarter panel has body filler from the front of the panel to the rear tail light. They gave me a $1000 minimum estimate to repair it. I asked my salesman, Joe, if they could do anything to help with this, maybe pay for at least half of it. He said they would not. It would have been nice to know about the damage on the truck before buying it. Very unfortunate situation as I assumed I had finally found a decent dealership in Carteret county and would buy again from them in the near future. I will not be returning. read more

Arrived with 3 complaints to be taken care of under warranty work. The positive was the vehicle was serviced faster than I have seen with any dealership and price is competitive. Unfortunately, I was met with a service advisor that was in a poor mood but manageable to work with. However the mechanic that sat in the lobby while listening to my concerns was the most unprofessional and bordered on disrespectful to me. He was dismissive of some concerns and would also belittle me as I responded while asking a question of cost to perform a tire balance. The ride along with this mechanic was done by me as my wife wouldn't ride with him due to the interactions she witnessed. We spent several minutes as he tried to explain his demeanor however it soon became obvious it was demeaning not apologetic. After returning to pick up the vehicle these issues were expressed and the advisor asked if it was his blunt manner. I'm surprised with that response and now see why he didn't correct or ask the mechanic to step out to discuss behind closed doors his attitude. It appears to be dismissed at the face of this company. I recommend some management and leadership training to these individuals before GMC writ large and Parker looses more customers. read more

I would give this zero stars if I could but the sole reason for this review is because of how I was treated by their finance guy/manager that was there at the time. He was a complete tool to say the least. I used to go to them for everything gmc, not anymore all because of this one experience. It's a shame for sure. read more

About two weeks ago I ordered a part for my car and they were supposed to call me when the part arrived. No call, so I stopped by a week later to check on it. Sure enough the part was in so we scheduled the repair and I left my car to have the part installed and a few other small things done while the car was in the shop. The following day I got a call that an additional part was needed. No problem. "Get it and fix it," I said. Next I get another call that they cannot order the part unless I come in to pay for it. They wanted me to drive back to Morehead City to pay for a part that was less than $200 before they would do the work on my car. (Note: I did not have to pay ahead for the first part that cost about the same thing.) They had my car in possession and it was pretty obvious that I was going to pay for the repair including all the parts needed for the repair. I am sure that they would not have released the car unless I paid the bill. Therefore, I called to speak to a manager. Four calls later I finally get the service manager who agreed to repair my car without me coming in but informed me that it is the new policy there not to order any specialized parts without the customer first paying for the parts even if they have the car in their shop. I explained that I was planning to leave my truck there for work when I picked up the car however, there was no way to know how many parts were going to be needed to repair it as there were several needed repairs and I knew of and there would be several parts to order. Since I was not going to make an additional trip to Morehead City to pay for parts every time that I dropped a vehicle in for service I explained that they would not get the additional work. Also I would not be their customer in the future because of what seems to me to be an insane policy. I certainly have never heard of it before and I am not a young man. It is a shame that they lost me as a customer on their first time to service my auto as I am relatively new to the area and was looking for a regular shop. I own several cars, most of which are older and regularly in need of repairs. The work they did was acceptable. However their policies are not customer friendly. If I were you I would just go elsewhere. There are too many repair shops that will fix a car without you having to make multiple stops at their shop during the repairs to pay for every additional part that comes up during the repair process. read more

I had my 2012 Traverse towed there because it was making a loud, repetitive clunking noise. Oddly, the battery isn't in the engine. It's located in the floorboard behind the passenger seat. 31 hours after they took possession of my car, they called me to tell me my battery was dead, yet, had not opened up the battery compartment and checked it. I had informed them that the battery was a 7 year battery. Without ever looking at the battery, the man argued me. I left my grandfathers side, as he lay in the hospital, to argue with these people.The man was insistent that even though it was clunking, and even though he hadn't looked at the battery, that it was the battery. I got angry, he finally listened to the video I had of the clunking. I left the car and went back to the hospital. 2 days later I went to pick it up and paid for the problem, the AC actuator and a brand new battery, because they REFUSED to work on the car without replacing the battery - which again, they had never looked at before making the demand. I had a picture of the battery, which listed the 7 year warranty information on it, but I couldn't stay and argue. When I went in to pay, of course, they charged my debit card some $700 extra "accidentally". They did refund it, but I had to call my bank and wait for them to reverse the overdraft fee. I was in tears, in the shop after dealing with these people, who bullied me into a new battery while I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. They knew my grandfather was dying and that I just wanted to be done so I could be at the hospital with him and that I didn't have another person to help me pick up the car since my husband was also out of town for work. They refused to check on the battery warranty. I have never been treated so poorly. I have never left a bad review publicly like this, but these people were beyond unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and drive to New Bern. read more

Today's experience at Parker GMC car sales was horrendous! I have been talking with Willie Bell for weeks about the GMC Terrain I wanted. I went over to take a look and got the fastest talking guy I know. I asked him to slow several times. This guy does all the transmitting and no receiving. Up until today I thought he was fairly nice. But he is anything but that. As soon as the test drive was over I could not even open the car door and get out before he started attacking me. I said you sure have changed your whole attitude and demeanor since we left. The rude and hard pressure sale was on. He screamed at me that my possible trade in had been wrecked before which was no secret and not my fault. I didn't need to do a trade in anyway. Then he attacked my body guy, Jimmy at Carteret Body relentlessly. He changed the price and could not back it up. After speaking to the sales manager we left. I would never recommend for anyone to do business with this man. Even though I liked the car and seriously considered buying it I couldn't. Every time I looked at it I would have been reminded of the person that ruined my day, evening and joy of a new to me car. He sucked any fun out of buying . We were shocked and I in tears by the time we got home . read more
