Omar filled in the details of the job to get us the right crew, and got us scheduled for the very next morning. Lorenzo and his team showed up early, communicated clearly, and holy wow did they work fast. In less than 90 minutes they moved what took our team 6 hours to do. AND they moved a fireproof safe by hand, with sheet strength and a good knowledge of physics. The cherry on top is the value - super-fair, plus a discount for booking through Yelp. Hawk claims "pre-existing damage," yet they have produced no photos showing my furniture in my prior home to support this. They also damaged my son's bedroom furniture - not as expensive, but possibly beyond repair - and it upset him deeply to see his room left that way. I did, in frustration, remark that I "shouldn't have let my wife book the move," and I regret saying that. The truth is I approved the decision and take responsibility for choosing Hawk. The only thing I said to their crew was: "Is there a single piece that you didn't damage?" My experience stands, the damage was extensive, the liability payout is meaningless, and Hawk's response only reinforces the problem.

I would not recommend this company…read more We booked our move a month in advance and were given an 8:00 AM appointment. The movers didn't arrive until 5:30 PM, with little to no communication throughout the day. We were left waiting and constantly had to call them ourselves just to get updates. The person answering the phone was minimally helpful and couldn't provide any clear information. Our move was only from a one-bedroom apartment to a two-bedroom apartment just 8 miles up the road. It should not have taken as long as it did, and it certainly shouldn't have cost as much as it did. Overall, the lack of communication, extreme delay, and high cost made this a very frustrating experience. I expected much better service. I hate that we had to leave a 1-Star to post this.

Firehouse Movers is who I'll call with any future moves.

BEWARE - BAIT-AND-SWITCH PRICING!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this company deserves one. I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.
