My own creation...the Haystack Skillet. Half biscuit and gravy underneath the ham, bacon, sausage, onion, and scrambled eggs. Delicious!!!

This was a neat breakfast find on my road trip through North Dakota. Walked right in to a full house, but a table opened up almost immediately. The turnover was constant throughout the meal, and no one had to wait long for a table. Jazlyn met us at the table and took our drink orders and then came back for our food orders. I was interested in the both the Breakfast Skillet and the Haystack, so I asked if I could combine them. She told me I absolutely could, so I ended up with a half biscuit and gravy covered with the toppings from the skillet. It turned out perfectly! The portions here are very generous, and you shouldn't leave hungry. The interior is decorated with witty signs that were fun to read over breakfast, and if you are a people watcher, there was a very eclectic mix of people gathered together for breakfast. Excellent food and outstanding service made for a great breakfast experience!

    The parking is always busy.

Whenever we pass Lonnie's Roadhouse Cafe, whatever the time of day, there are cars in the parking lot. With an endorsement like that... We especially recommend breakfast at Lonnie's. That's when you'll find the place packed with local farmers and ranchers. They'll greet you with a smile and a nod when you come through the door. This place is fun! It's decorated with art and signs and old time advertising from all over the place. On the menu you'll find the standard fare: bacon and eggs, omelettes, hash browns, pancakes and so forth. Everything we ordered was piping hot and tasty. Try the French Toast at Lonnie's - it's in a class by itself! The coffee is very good too. In short: Good Food - Friendly Service - Reasonable Prices - Fun Atmosphere If we lived in Minot, we'd be regulars! DON'T MISS LONNIE'S ROADHOUSE CAFE!!

I've been eyeing this place since my husband and I came to Williston for a temporary job. The parking lot always seems packed. There's a reason they have a great friendly atmosphere and the food is really good. Don't let the parking lot fool you they have room inside. I never had to ask for more coffee because they do regular fly bys to keep your cup topped. I had a plate size pancake with a side of three link sausages it was suppose to be Pigs in a Blanket but I requested it deconstructed. Sorry no photo cause I was hungry. My husband ordered the meat lovers omelette which he proudly could not finish I must admit we could have shared it. The ladies that work here have the best sense of humor pay at the register just tell them your table number. They have pie displayed there as well as huge caramel covered cinnamon rolls.

I was staying at a nearby hotel for a week while passing through Williston. When I slept through the hotel breakfast, I asked the hotel staff where I might be able to get a good breakfast nearby. Immediately, the woman behind the desk recommended Lonnie's, so I went right over. I loved it! It was friendly, extremely reasonably priced, with good solid food and nice portions. I went back again later in the week because it was such good, comforting diner food. It was packed every time I stepped in; clearly a local favorite. Highly recommend for a delicious diner meal!

Service was friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Maybe the best part was the three painted and decorated cow sculptures out front. They reminded of several years back when decorated pigs were sprinkled throughout downtown Seattle. We came here for a late lunch, but noticed that they had a Sunday buffet for $18.95 that goes until 2pm. You can't beat that price for a buffet. So our table ordered cheeseburgers, biscuits and gravy, the all-you-can-eat salad bar, walleye salmon and the hamburger steak dinner. A note about the walleye salmon. This fish is actually a perch and exists in local water bodies around here. Everything was very good with the possible exception of the gravy on the biscuits. My nephew noted that something tasted weird in the gravy. I suspected it was nutmeg that my nephew was tasting. I sampled the gravy, and sure enough, it had been strongly spiced with nutmeg. Also, the walleye salmon (perch) had a bit of a fishy flavor, though the sandwich it came in was fine otherwise. I though the fish portion looked a bit svelte. The hamburger steak dinner, which included the onions & mushroom add-on was excellent. The brown gravy was delicious. We'd definitely come back.

I will say that many of the booths are torn up, and the space isn't exactly immaculate. Also, there was a strange and unappetizing smell upon entry that seemed to get worse while waiting for our food The menu is extensive and a little confusing. There are a few different menus along the wall and there appear to be sand which, wrap, salad, burgers, and other options. There are many signature dishes to try. You can get your order on a white baguette, a wheat baguette, a flour tortilla, a spinach tortilla, or on ciabatta The service was fine. The person who took our order also delivered the food to us. I ordered my meal as a wrap but I was given it on a white bread baguette. The staff wasn't overly friendly or helpful Some tips: You can make your meal a combo and get chips or fries and a drink. They also have cookie options and I'm not sure if you can substitute chips for that. I asked if I could sub my drink for a cookie and I was told no. The baguettes have so much bread when compared to the rest of the sandwich. I wish there was more meat and less bread. Then again, I ordered a wrap and got bread instead lol Cheers!!

I knew we were in trouble when my boyfriend and I arrived before the rest of our party and the restaurant was packed. There was a section closed off and I crossed my fingers that it had been reserved for us, but alas... upon arrival, the host of our party told us that Dakota Farms doesn't take reservations and that we were just going to have to fill in tables as they became available. I knew from reading the reviews on yelp that this was going to be a sh!tshow, but re-entered the restaurant with at least 20 other people, who began rearranging tables so we could sit as together as possible. The waitresses kept yelling at us for blocking the path from the kitchen to the dining room, but when you're dealing with so many people, but no one from the staff actually wants to help... we should have taken our business elsewhere, but, ya know... it's hard to sit back and watch a situation get out of hand when you're not anywhere near in charge... We all get seated, orders taken, and then proceed to wait an hour and a half for our food. Yes, like I said, there were a lot of us, but the menu is one side of a legal size piece of paper. It's not like they're the Cheesecake Factory.. and most of the food was breakfast. Seriously, any mom can bust out egg breakfasts with fried meat and toast for a crew in no time. I ordered a chicken club sandwich and they must have dropped my chicken patty in the oil as soon as I ordered it because it was like the sole of an old boot, but with less flavor. Due to my disability, I have to cut up my sandwiches to get them into my mouth, and I had to ask my boyfriend to cut my sandwich because all my sawing effort could not make my butter knife cut through that chicken. He could barely accomplish that task. Then there was absolutely no condiments on the sandwich, which was supposed to have mayo, so it was as dry as the desert. I couldn't eat it. The boyfriend had the French dip, with chips. Don't know why he orders chips. He never eats them. The sandwich was okay. Nothing to write home about... yet here I am writing about it to warn you that the only reason it's edible is because of the bowl of jus. Our newfound neice had a breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, hash browns, meat and toast. Shes 15 and ate it all, with ketchup and jelly and a glass of mountain dew and a cup of coffee that was half sugar. Our newfound auntie had some decent french toast. I cant tell you what everyone else had, cuz we were still scattered across the dining room. Though some people did yell from table to table. However, i think it was my trip to the bathroom that sums up the whole experience. The busted state of the toilet says it all. The owner of this establishment clearly doesn't care about the quality of anything. They know that most of the customers are out of towners and that they'll never be back again so there's no reason to try to win anyone over. Avoid this place unless you feel like you need to be punished for your transgressions. Would not recommend

In addition to coffee, The Fleur has toast, sandwiches, pancakes, juices, salads, smoothies, zingers (juice with Red Bull) and milkshakes. A heads-up: unless you specify otherwise, The Fleur uses plenty of sugar in their options. For flavored coffee, I recommend to request they add just half the usual amount of sugar. Or, if you are ordering pancakes, have them hold the white chocolate sauce. But if you love white chocolate, go for it! Though, you will have, to use the words of my 16 year old nephew, a diabetes plate. I ordered the biscotti lotus pancakes. The pancakes themselves were great, perfectly griddled and with a little butter. While tasty, the caramel-vanilla sauce topping the pancakes was extremely sweet. The pancakes came with two cookies the same flavor as the sauce. I also ordered the very fresh and cold pineapple-orange juice, which was outstanding. What a great flavor combination! This juice Is very popular. I saw this same juice at a graduation party where The Fleur provided juice. I only wish that my glass of juice at The Fleur had been more juice than ice. Still, The Fleur is a great little restaurant with fine service.
