It was good had never been there before. Service was prompt . Staff was short when asking questions. I would order from them again . read more

Have never been disappointed here! Very good food! So many places no longer offer spareribs on the bone - DELICIOUS here.

The chicken fingers were not cooked completely. They were doughy. The fried rice had large clumps of white balls of rice in them. The taste was off on both the chicken fingers and the rice. The crab Rangoon's were not very good. We have eaten here before and I've not experienced this very disappointed. read more

The food was delicious, take out only, fresh and everything was to order. Very busy on weekends so plan for a 30 minute wait. read more

This is definitely a hole in the wall kind of place that you probably only do takeout from (only 1 table and 2 chairs, this place is mostly kitchen). The person taking my order was very nice and even took the time to go get the to-go containers to show me the different sizes. I went with General Taos Chicken (only 1 size), steak teriyaki, beef lo mein, and crab rangoons. The portion sizes are very generous and I was a big fan of the flavor. Definitely my new go to Chinese place! If you have a chance, try it oi read more

Long's Kitchen - a table with a variety of food items - Chinese Near Me - Tewksbury, Massachusetts

Been living in a flyover state & have not been able to find even passable Polynesian style Chinese food. This was the 2nd most recommended place for me to try in the area. Since it was right on my route & right on the road I grew up on 40+ years ago, I decided to give it a shot. Placed the order on a Friday around 5:30pm, got the following: EGG ROLL CRAB RANGOON BEEF LO MEIN ORANGE FLAVORED BEEF GENERAL GAU CHICKEN Everything was very good to excellent! The ORANGE FLAVORED BEEF was about the best I've ever had from a take out joint. I think they said 30 minutes & I got there in 35-40 & it was actually ready. Next time I'm out that way, I will definitely stop here again! Posted a new menu, 11/2023 read more

I think it is the best Chinese food in town. I have not had a bad meal in 6 years. Delivery is usually very quick. It is a simple store front. Not much seating read more

Had 10 out state guests and placed an order for the first time with Long's Kitchen. Was not disappointed. Order was ready on time, there was plenty of it and it was fresh and delicious. It was a huge order and priced reasonable. They were very helpful and friendly. The Following week we ordered appetizers to take to a get together and they were a big hit. read more

After many years, it's my still go to for Chinese take-out. Food always hot & fresh. Staff always pleasant and cost is still reasonable compared to some others. read more

Idk why people like this place They give you a lot of food that is gross Like actually gross Don't order from here guys A meal for 2 should not be 5$ STOP read more

Long's Kitchen is a very cozy Chinese takeout place located in a small strip plaza (First Colonial Building) next to Angelina's at the Main St/Livingston St intersection in Tewksbury. This place is geared towards takeout and delivery since the waiting area is cramped with the order counter (open kitchen) and two small tables with chairs. The menu offerings include the standard choices of Americanized Chinese dishes (including Cantonese and Szechuan dishes) and specialties, plus they offer chow foon, pan fried noodles, udon, and pad thai. Most dishes priced under $13. Luncheon Specials ($4.50-$6.50) served everyday until 4PM. Combination Dinners with entree, pork fried rice and appetizer(s) are offered all day, $6.50-$8.95. I stopped in here for lunch takeout recently. I ordered the LS2 Chicken Chow Mein, Pork Egg Foo Young, Pork Fried Rice, Hot & Sour Soup ($4.50), which was ready to go in under 10 minutes. The portion of hot food was generous for under $5. The hot & sour soup was standard and not too spicy. The chicken chow mein had a mix of boneless chicken pieces, onions, celery, & sprouts in a thick clear sauce topped with crunchy rice noodles. The round egg foo youngs (2) had a firm texture consisting of deep fried egg, onions & roast pork chunks smothered in a thick brown gravy. The pork fried rice (brown color) was standard which was firm with a mix of pork and onions. The food overall was pretty decent and tasted good, not too salty. I would order again from Long's Kitchen for reasonably priced Americanized Chinese fare in Tewksbury. read more

This is our go-to place when we have a craving for Chinese. The food is always good here, but they should save some vegetable oil! I don't like my food playing the role of food scented lip gloss. This is the only complaint I have about this place. This restaurant is in the back corner of the plaza, very small with a couple tables if u wish to sit and eat, but usually it's people waiting for their order who are sitting there. So, I wouldn't recommend sitting here to eat. We usually call our order in and pick up or have it delivered. They're always on time on regular days and even Fridays, but can fall behind during holidays because I the whole town probably orders from them during new yrs eve! If you're in the mood for some Americanized Chinese, give this place a try. read more

Very good food, especially their specialty dishes, at good prices. Decent lunch combinations, including a make-your-own. Good service, friendly help. read more

It has always felt to me that Tewksbury is a little empire of take-out places ("Here's your dinner, now go eat it at home!"). If that's the case, Long's is the emperor. You could actually eat there if you really wanted; there's 3 small tables and 6 chairs. These are typically in use by people waiting to pick up their order, but there was actual evidence someone had eaten at one table (leftovers). We made the "mistake" of trying to order 7 combo dinners 2 hours before Game 6 of the World Series. That wasn't really a bad thing, but on a busy night with that many different dishes in the order, and only 3 cooks making everything, you really can't always say "15 minutes." But to make it interesting, I got to watch the cooks from the aforementioned tables and chairs go through motions resembling a well-oiled machine, a ballet, and the game "Rush Hour," trying to get each meal out of the kitchen into the packaging area. The guy working at the counter was extremely friendly and personable, and he took the boredom out of the wait for our meals. While everyone enjoyed their dinner, mine came out a bit bland. The chicken and broccoli had no seasoning at all. I wasn't sure if it was steamed or whether they just happened to forget the seasonings amid the chaos. My hot and sour soup was a little oily, a little weak, and had the most finely chopped meat and vegetables I've ever seen. Everything else was spot-on - high marks for the other entrees, and really good crab rangoon. The fortune cookies are quite interesting. My fortune actually used the word "magnanimity" correctly. read more

Great Chinese food and large portions. Hot and sour soup is very good. I usually order individual items for convenience but their mixed menu is good too. read more

We are usually a small order as there are only two of us. Food is always good and fresh. I had a memorial luncheon for my late mother at her former senior housing facility and Longs was amazing. With a combination of their catering menu and items on the regular menu, they got the food there hot , and on time and it was delicious. Everyone was happy, especially me, as their excellent food made a sad occasion a pleasant gathering. read more

If you're in the mood for good Americanized greasy Chinese, this is your place. I order from here once every couple of months. I've ordered multiple things off the menu and I have to say I'm darn pleased with everything I've eaten. It's the good kind of greasy, the kind that feels sort of familiar and comforting without being ridiculous and heavy. Their General Gau's Chicken is delish and I love the Pan Fried Raviolis and the Scallion Pancakes. I'd also recommend the Beef with Pepper & Onion. This is definitely not healthy food. At all. But then, it's not that kind of joint. As long as you understand what it is they offer (greasy american-chinese take out) and that's what you want, you'll be satisfied. read more

Great Tewksbury Take-out! I'm so fortunate to have my condo be right near Long's. The food is very good, even though it's only take-out. I usually measure chinese food by the quality of the meat. The shreds of chicken and tender beef and vegetables are very good quality. The fried products (chicken fingers and crab rangoon) are also very high quality. Between my friend I, we've ordered tons off the menu and have never found anything we didn't like. Great Mooshi, excellent chow-foon and really good beef/chicken dishes. Great Value: Dinner specials for under 10 bucks. Try it. It's much better than the Jade East which is right down the road. read more

Food use to be the best Chinese around! One day a few weeks ago I talked to the driver and they said they had a new owner. Well that explained the lousy food. Salty not the good quality I was use to for years. Will have to find a new place. I thought it was me the first time but the second time it was awful again! read more

Updated review: After a very long pause (multiple bad experiences), we gave Long's Kitchen another chance. Take out a couple of weeks ago: pu pu platter with veg fried rice - egg rolls a little on the overdone side, but otherwise, very good. Excellent rice. This weekend we ordered dinner specials: stir fry veggies & rice and general gau & rice. Both were very good. Again, rice was good, but I really love their veggie fried rice the best. read more

Just picked up take out based on ratings.Maybe I picked a bad night but both my wife and I weren't impressed. We got shrimp plates with little shrimp lots of veggies. It was ok tasting at best, dissapointed I would recommend Ginger House in Wilmington for great "Chinese " food eat in or take out. read more

This is by far the best Chinese food place around. There beef teriyaki is DELICIOUS. Food is always well cooked accurate and tasty. I've never had any bad customer service even though I am extremely picky. They give you large quantity of food in their plates and don't charge extra if you want to double up on a appetizer or replace something with something else. I highly recommend longs. read more

HORRIBLE! We have gone here for years and we liked it but last couple of times were not good, last night was unacceptable! Called in an order at 5:25pm, I said we'd pick it up, she said 40 minutes but we will call you, it may be sooner. Ok. At 6:15 I called, it's not ready...she was very annoyed and rude. My son in law was picking it up on his way home so he now is waiting outside Longs. At 6:35 he went in, no, still not ready. At 6:50, an hour and a half after calling in our order, they say it's ready. He was there and went right in. The food was cold...so cold that we had to heat it. Never again! read more

So happy we found this place! New to area and could not find any great Chinese food! We were driving to Malden when we wanted it. They even accommodated us on New Years Eve even though we did not call until almost 5pm and had to keep hitting redial because just like every other NYE the restaurants get more business that day than all year usually. You could hear how busy they were yet they took the time to take our order and even had it ready between 8-8:30pm. This is now the only Chinese restaurant we will be ordering from. Not only is the food so good and not greasy, the customer service is out of this world! read more

We had ordered the same meal 100's of time but recently the person taking the phone orders could not understand us. How many times we had to repeat ourselves and then we are still delivered the wrong meal. Calling back to explain the wrong meal was delivered about 45 minutes later they delivery us a box of white rice. read more

Very good chinee takeout at reasonable prices. The wife and I usually order from the dinner combo special (one plate each) and this is enough to feed 4 people. I like that the person answering the phone speaks perfect english and have always been very friendly on the phone and in person. Four Stars!! (5 reserved for eat-in establishments) read more

I go here a lot but it's so inconsistent. Sometimes the food is really good. Other times it's really greasy and over cooked. Also the prices are always different for the same food . I've asked the delivery guy for a receipt and they never can give me one they say they need it for the end of the night just kind of weird plus if I pick up the food they are so rude every person that has rung me up has zero manners. I have to find a new place . read more

I have been a loyal customer at Longs for 14 years. On February 10 2019 I placed an order for my kids for dinner. When I opened the food and duck sauce I noticed a unusual smell. I applied the duck sauce to my food and something was off, the food was not tasting good. My wife mentioned also she smelled something awful. I smelled the duck sauce and it had a vinegar smell to it, and it didn't taste like sweet as always. I called Longs kitchen the next day and spoke to the girl and the owner. I asked if they can f refund me my money for the meal since we didn't enjoy it as always. So the girl says to me the duck sauce is free, and I asked again for a refund. She replied we can give you a free duck sauce. Wow! That's great! See you later Longs Kitchen you will not get any more business from me. Oh yea she also asked me to spell refund, duh read more

Awesome local place for great to go! Love the soups too. Sweet n Sour chicken is tasty. Fresh not over fried. This is our spot for take out!

Best local delivery for Chinese food. It can be hit or miss with food, mostly hit. Never have problem with delivery always delivered hot. Haven't been by since remolded. Great luncheon specials with enough food for two meals. Give it a try read more

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant that I've been too. I've been going here for for about 7 or 8 years. Prices are good I you're getting a combo dinner. I would like utensils every time I get takeout, some times I just get a napkin and a fork. read more

Straight out I'm gonna say that these guys have earned this name. This place took a long time to get to my house and it'll take a long time for me to think about coming back. Good takeout when you don't want Jade east

Small place but they make up for it with the food. I got the shrimp and broc combo in a "garlic" sauce and it was great. "Garlic" because they call it something else but either way it was good. I will make a point to try other things on their menu. read more

A take out restaurant. Consistent food although the price from one order to another (for same menu) is not. Our go to for local Chinese.

Used to be a 5 star rating establishment. Food has gone downhill, and the staff has become less than friendly.

Me and friends think the food here is excellent! We order her quite often and it's always fresh and delicious. The service is quite exceptional also. Can't go wrong with this place! read more

Best take-out Chinese food in town. They should open a restaurant next door. Not too greasy and always made fresh, meaning they do not dole out food that's been sitting around waiting for a customer. read more

I usually judge the quality of Chinese take-out based on the freshness of the fried rice. If it looks like it's been sitting for um, days, it probably has. Long's is fresh... the veggies are fresh and the rice is perfectly cooked and seasoned. Everything has been great from here. read more
