This is a true Canadian Grocery Store, they started out right here in Toronto in 1956. They have 23 location in the GTA and the newest one has been opened just beside the ACC. They are very big on buying local so most of their fresh produce is in immediate proximity ( meaning less polution because of less travel time for the produce and also less genetically-modified foods because Canadian standards are higher then the US ). I also agree that the prices are sometimes a bit steep but at the same time for example the cold cuts precut by the meat counter are an amazing deal. The Bakery has also a wide and delicious looking assortment. I don't come to often here because it's a bit to pricey but lately the meat prices have impressed me so I come for that.

I don't recommend this store. The produce are not in a good quality and customer service are rude. You don't feel welcomed in the store.

    Wild Fork - Samples

Tip: The short ribs are awesome!…read more I was introduced to Wild Fork through a Yelp community event. I loved what I had sampled that I made a purchase and enjoyed what I got. This store is in a plaza with tons of parking. I backed into a parking spot fairly close to the store. I noticed a tent across from the store. The tent had food samples. Yay! I sampled the following items: - Korean beef short ribs - Jerk chicken wings - Garlic bread - Bourbon garlic bison sausage My favourites were the short ribs and garlic bread. The former had a mild spice kick to them. I loved the marinade and flavour. The beef was tender. I loved them so much that I got William from Wild Fork to point me to the aisle where I could buy them. The latter had a generous smear of butter and garlic. It was excellent. The jerk chicken wings were yummy. The problem was that a couple of wings that I had were undercooked. I saw a bit of blood, so I stopped eating them. At first, I felt that the sausage was dry and needed more fat. I then realized that I was eating bison, which is lean. It made sense why it seemed dry for a sausage. It wasn't gamey. I couldn't taste the bourbon, but I did taste the garlic. The store has wide aisles. This store is bright and inviting. Wild Fork blast-freezes all their meats. They are then packaged such that the seasoning gets into the meat. Yumminess ensues when you thaw and prepare them. This place also sells mini lime and vanilla cheesecakes. I had the lime first. It had a subtle lime flavour in the cheesecake filling. I didn't like the graham cracker crust. It was too crumbly and dry. It needed more butter to have the crust stay intact. I brought the vanilla home. Same issue with the base. The cheesecake part was good, but I didn't taste the vanilla. I paid for my short ribs at the checkout. I paid with a MasterCard. I tapped and was done. I pan-fried the Korean short ribs at home. It was easy and it took little time, roughly three minutes on each side over medium heat. They were thin, but meaty and delicious! I need to return to get more. It's a cool store. I wish it were closer to home, but at least it's not too far away from work to grab what I need here. (326)

Most importantly the staff and the owner are super cranky and legit angry. Even the dude manning the gate was a dick. They literally have security busting people for sampling apples. Want a hay ride? A bigger bucket of almost 40 lb cost $25 at the farmers market in Mississauga!!! There's nothing to do at this stupid farm expect picking apples or pumpkin. No rides (even though there's a big sign for hay rides) So you pick your own apples then pay triple the price of the super market and 5-6 times the price of the farmers market. To be honest they're good apples but not at all better than the farmers market! Never again! Very badly run and will be out of business very soon for sure! P.s. The kids saw a dead rat (No big deal in a farm I guess) but they were so disgusted by it so they couldn't eat apples! Not that they were even allowed to eat any apples while picking! Where's the fun of picking apples if the kids can't even eat as they pick and there was more apples on the ground than on the trees!!! Visit on Saturday October 29 2016

Although I still had a small bag of pumpkin spiced popcorn that I recently purchased stateside, I love Kernels so much. There was a deal going on. If you get a medium or large bag of popcorn, your second one is 50% off. Perfect! There were two women ahead of me. They were pretty confused and couldn't make a decision getting a frozen treat. They left. The woman behind the counter was cheerful. I said that I was going to get two large bags. She nodded. The toughest part was narrowing down my choices to two flavours. I got the following: - Butter salt - Thai sweet chili What was tough was that I normally get three bags. There used to be a deal where if you got two bags, your third was free. So, I had an internal debate between Thai sweet chili or jalapeno jack. I chose the former. It didn't take long for her to pack a couple of bags with my flavours. I paid with a debit card. Done! She was so patient waiting for me to place my card in my wallet, and then my wallet in my purse. I thanked her, grabbed my two bags of yumminess, and headed to my car. I like that these bags have handles. It makes carrying them a lot easier and you don't have to think about getting a shopping bag. My favourite is the butter salt. It's so good. It's the perfect balance of butter and salt. It's not horribly salty. It's just right. I'm like Goldilocks finding the just-right bag of popcorn, but without the bear family. I haven't cracked open my bag of Thai sweet chili. I have had it before, so I'm looking for that perfect combination of heat with a touch of sweetness. It's a great store. I'm so glad that I dropped by. When I'm in the area, I'd definitely get some popcorn here. (381)

I recently was finally able to visit this location. It is super clean and organized. It's a bit overwhelming when you first enter, as there is so much to look at and to choose from. My bf and I literally went through every section to make sure we didn't miss anything. We were ill prepared and forgot to bring our own jars to fill but no worries, they have paper bags and jars for purchase there. We ended up getting quite a few things. I personally got some mixed spicy nuts (I forgot what they were actually called), a peanut butter protein ball, sunflower seed protein powder and the coconut curry lentil soup mix. While I haven't tried the soup yet, I can confirm everything else is delicious! I finished the nuts in 2 days and can't wait to get more lol. I'm defs getting a bigger bag next time. Though I will try to avoid the wasabi nuts, as I'm not much of a wasabi fan. Everything else in the mix AND the spice???....SO GOOD. I was so surprised with the protein ball. I had asked which was the most popular ones and was told either the peanut butter or chocolate. So glad I went with the PB one. I've never tried a protein ball before and my first experience was a hit. So much, that I want to make my own now lol. I like to use plant based protein powder and the sunflower seed protein was a surprise. It did not alter the tastes of my smoothies, which I appreciated. Defs already planning what I'm going to get on my next visit. They not only have food, but they have cleaning supplies, personal care products and kombucha on tap! I'm excited to try their body wash and bar soaps. They smelled so good! I also have to mention that customer service was super friendly and informative. Great place, overall.
