It was lovely, almost like thick Alpine fondue stuffed into tender mushrooms. We loved it. We shared the Ribeye and bought a couple more sides. The Ribeye was very large and could have easily fed three diners. It had a delicious charred crust, and our medium-cooked steak had plenty of juicy pink in the middle. Nice flavor, just not as tender as other cuts. Our sides were truly delicious, and the roasted brussel sprouts were my favorite. The baked sweet potato was a close second. I was very impressed with LongHorn Steakhouse! Got the White cheddar stuffed mushrooms for my appetizer and it was large and very tasty. You could tell the fire grilled T-Bone was high quality and grilled to perfection. Side salad that came with the T-Bone was huge and the Brussel sprouts were good. Had lunch here today and, as always, it didn't disappoint! This is hands-down my favorite steakhouse chain when I'm craving a good, flavorful steak. My husband ordered the lamb, and I went with the ribeye -- cooked to perfection, just the way we like it. The mashed potatoes and asparagus were spot on too. And of course, I absolutely love the free warm bread and butter they bring out while you wait -- it's such a cozy touch! Service was friendly and fast, just like we've experienced at other locations. There were 2 - 3 tables total of customers. We figured it was between lunch and dinner, so service should be quick. We walked into and were never greeted. The bartender looked over at us and then walked in the back. We stood there for a few minutes until my wife walked to the back and asked a lady if we are supposed to seat ourselves. The lady just stared at her. When my wife came back we left as our business was obviously not wanted. Just someone saying hi would be nice. Each time my husband and I have visited Longhorn Steakhouse at the Gammon location, we always enjoyed the ambience and decor, amazing service, and a great meal! Came here for lunch and it's my first time at Longhorn. Too many steakhouses in Texas and Pappas Bros is my favorite. We were seated almost immediately and Alli is our server. Ordered the 22 oz medium rare porterhouse with mac and cheese, a bowl of lobster chowder and salad, finished with the chocolate stampede. Complimentary warm bread with whipped butter came first. Chowder tasted good but I didn't find any lobster but a few small shrimps. Steak was cooked properly and it was tender. There were some tendons but overall good. The dessert was massive and definitely needed more than 2 people to eat. Total was under $60 and it was good. There were a party of 12 nearby with a toddler who screamed and cried more than 50% while we were there. Service was good but that crying killed the ambiance. read more

Don't sleep on Longhorn Steakhouse when seeking a quality meat based meal on the west side! Friend and I came for Saturday lunch and were seated promptly. I like to get the house specialty when I dine out, which would mean steak but the menu said hand breaded chicken so the tenders were ordered! So good, juicy, and plentiful, I had to share as a I couldn't finish the six count. Same for the Brussels, which you should get! First time visiting this chain restaurant. Had a great experience! We had an elderly family member with us who is in a wheelchair and we were celebrating a birthday lunch. Seated immediately by friendly staff. All the workers were sweet and helpful. Terris was our server and he was attentive as can be. Had to try the Texas Tonion. Great app! Large enough for 4 of us to share. We had several items off lunch special menu. Sizeable fresh salads-I had the 7 pepper steak salad. It was properly cooked. Loved the shrimp and lobster chowder-flavorful and filled with seafood. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the birthday lady was served up a large free sundae with a lit candle. If you want to get a cheap lunch visit Longhorn! Upon arrival there was a bit of wait however the bar was open. At the bar I ordered a Long Island and it was basic but good. When we were finally seated I ordered the Lobster Bisque soup and 7-Pepper Sirloin* Lunch Salad Combo which is grilled sirloin with our 7-Pepper seasoning, diced tomatoes, croutons, and crumbled blue cheese. We are historically lovers of Longhorn, but we had some trouble at this location recently that was incredibly disappointing. To keep it short and sweet, all of our food came out at the same time (appetizer first, entree 5 minutes later, salads 5 minutes after that) which for our small table was frustrating. By the time we got to our steaks, they were cold. My sister's steak was over cooked, she reluctantly sent it back (she really hates to cause an inconvenience, but her medium rare was very much medium well, and it was her birthday so she deserved to get what she ordered). The server offered to replace the streak, and that the manager would bring out a new one shortly. 20 minutes went by, and she finally received the steak in a to go box, and the manager did not deliver it to the table. We were hoping the manager would stop by just to voice our concerns, but instead, the server dropped it off and said "we temp checked it and it's definitely medium rare". So my sister decided to pull it out of the box and cut into it, and it definitely was not medium rare - still overcooked. They did take the steak off the bill which was appreciated, but we were really disappointed in the lack of diligence from the manager. read more

I am a consistent patron of this Longhorn Steakhouse. My server was Jon this time and ever since I started coming here is a top notch person and waiter/server/bartender. Effective, efficient, personable individual. Always impressed by the friendly and thoughtful staff! The atmosphere had music playing that is often country music. It is about background music volume but closer to talking volume. The food is consistently outstanding. I enjoy a simple salad that is fresh and crunchy! But my husband and I received a gift card for our anniversary so we obviously were going to use it. We came here for lunch on a Sunday and arrived close to 11 when they open and were the second people in the restaurant. Our server was great and the steaks and food was seriously delicious and so Reasonably priced I couldn't believe it. You can't get that good of a filet and lobster anywhere else for $30ish bucks. Our first experience with LongHorn (the entire chain) was this last weekend and we enjoyed our food! We had gift cards to spend and decided to try the carry out option, then enjoyed our food at home. We ordered and tried a few things -- I had the filet and salmon, which were both great. My husband had the half rack and sirloin, he was very satisfied. The mashed potatoes were delicious. The shrimp and lobster chowder was just okay -- it seemed like it was sitting around too long? I wouldn't order that again. We also got parmesan chicken and it was good, the chicken sometimes rubbery. Whatever bread they serve is incredible. The Caesar salads were good too! 5 stats for the hand battered butterfly shrimp. This is the closest thing to Louisiana fried shrimp, THAT WE DO, that one can find around here. A bit salty for me but man do light and right The cheap sirloin doesn't seem to confuse anyone when ordered at medium well. And, dine in for a better chance of it not being overcooked. I can say that those that ordered the lobster bisque enjoyed it, but it was said the onion soup was very salty, no surprise, most places make french onion soup too salty. The shrimp was sooo salty, like the chef emptied the shaker on it. Everyone who tried it thought so. Kid ate entire steak but then said it was spicy, not sure of this because no one else tried it. 2 of the ribeyes were ok, but not worth the $30 price tag. One was sent back because it was so tough it could barely be cut, the new one finally came out after everyone else had finished their meals. She just took it home. Hamburgers were charcoal bricks, ordered one med, one med rare. They were actually crunchy! Supposed to come with bacon and house sauce, neither were on the burgers. Service started out pretty good, but went downhill after asking for more bread. Which shouldn't be a big deal, as most larger tables need more than 1 mini loaf of bread. Then when the burgers were brought it was mentioned that the bacon & sauce was missing and her response was a sharp "maybe we are out!" Really, maybe you are out and no one bothered to mention it when we ordered? She did come back with 1 portion of sauce and 3 pieces of barely cooked bacon all on just 1 plate, that we had to share for the burgers... short on plates too? Then the steak was asked to be re-prepared, it was too chewy and not cooked to temperature requested, only one bite had been taken out of it. She made a point of sighing, asking why, then finally picking it up and walking it off to the kitchen. Five minutes later she came back and re-questioned the steak issue, peppering her with questions as to why, what was wrong, maybe she should order something different, etc. Um- no, maybe your chef needs to learn how to cook a steak, or maybe your kitchen needs to order something besides the cheapest meat they can find. Can't recommend this place, it wasn't even busy so they can't use that as an excuse. Just pretty bad food overall, and a snippy server when she didn't want to do something, which if you have a good server that is their time to shine and make things right, and show the customer how good they are at fixing problems.. and increase their tip! read more

I had enjoyed dining at this restaurant a year ago in 2020. During the last year I have been here a few times and each time the service has gotten progressively worse. The food is the same, the drinks are very hot or miss. I am unable to recommend any of the drinks as the flavors vary wildly depending on who is making them. The restaurant was a mess tonight when I came in, most of the tables were empty and I found it odd that the host said she would see if there was a table for us. This was cleared up when we were seated and surrounded by empty tables full of dirty dishes. We ate dinner but never received the margaritas we ordered. I went to the bar after eating my dinner to see if I could find out what happened to our drinks. I waited at the bar while the person working at the bar counted hi cash drawer then left without acknowledging me. He came back about 10 minutes later with a couple of bags of food for patrons drinking beer at the bar. I have up and went back to my table to try to get my bill so I could leave. The waitress was working on removing the drinks from our bill for about 10 minutes and I needed a box for my sweethearts remaining dinner so I set off to the kitchen to get boxes. I was familiar with the kitchen because I had to go there to get my silverware to eat the dinner. I found the boxes in the kitchen, it was a bigger mess than the bar and the dining room. I was just in one of those moods...a chain restaurant with a predictable menu. predictable taste and budget friendly. I would say this was my fifth-ish time at the chain restaurant. It was rough...except the service. Tyler B. was awesome. Attentive, knowledgeable and apologetic. The food - 8oz Renegade Sirloin $15.99 (yeah I know it's a subpar cut but the way they marinate/tenderize it generally is fairly tender and tasty) Well...one side was seared so hard the knife had a hard time cutting through. I literally had to fist my knife like a child would learning the tools of the "trade". I had to chew. Then chew. Then chew some more and eventually swallow the bite still intact but degraded enough so I wouldn't need the Heimlich. Soooo much work. Baked Potato had course salt on the outside and tender fluff on the inside. I asked for butter and got a generous scoop. House salad looked fresh and was pleasantly surprised it was loaded with veggies. The grit or sand in the salad is another story. At first I thought "nawww, couldn't be" another bite confirmed the grit. Next time I'll seek out an alternative chain restaurant as the Longhorn lost its predictability in quality of its fare. read more

The restaurant was not very clean: sticky table, thick layer of dust covering all the decorative items on the walls, very dirty salad dressing bottles. After we ordered, we were told the kitchen was out of ribs, the dish we came for. We got steaks instead, and although very small, they were absolutely delicious. We tried to order dessert, but the same thing happened: discovered they were out of both varieties of cakes. The waitress was very apologetic. Restaurant technically open BUT the hostess was seating no one "because the kitchen is so backed up we are putting everyone on a 30 minute delay". What a great find! Ma and I were trying to figure out where to have lunch, and she suggested LongHorn. I never really thought of them as a "lunch place", but hey - she was buying. :) Their lunch menu is really nice - but the three lunch combo levels of $7, $8 and $9 is really convenient. At $7, you get soup and salad. $8 gets you a little more, like a burger. At $9, you can go for a half prime rib sandwich (next time, prime, next time...) I went for the $8 burger and opted for the french onion soup for my included side. Our waitress brought out some warm bread and butter for our wait. Very nice! It worked well with the soup, too. The soup was excellent. It was not some frozen stuff they just slop out for you - it was pretty authentic with a nice cheese baked on top. I ordered the burger medium-rare and was betting it would be just medium. Nope - nice and pink inside. Great! The toppings were fresh and tasty. The burger wasn't the best I ever had, but it was pretty good. Mom had the same thing and she was thrilled about what a lunch gem LongHorn turned out to be. We'll be back!
