Good size, warm room (in fact we always stay in the same one), large, secure ski room within a few metres of the hotel entrance, bus to the ski slopes stops right outside the hotel every ten minutes, good restaurant with wide choice of dishes especially the Italian pizzas from a proper pizza oven. But this restaurant is extremely popular, so make sure you book a table before going out for the day. Fantastic offer this year our ski passes were a third of the normal price because we bought them through the hotel on arrival. St. Moritz is really expensive, so this was a very pleasant surprise. Also this year the internet access was wireless, not wired and really fast (something you don't find in every hotel).

The Pizza Rucola was a favorite. Wouldn't get the tempura asparagus again --- more battered-and-deep-fried than tempura. The low point, though, was the server. Ten minutes to get our order in, twenty for the check, and impatient scowls throughout the credit card routine.

With just the right amount of saltiness and semolina and air bubbles. But I've zoomed in on the crust too enthusiastically. The menu is extensive, and has any Italian pizza lovers favorite combination (all languages available--at least English, French, German, Italian). The ingredients were perfectly farm-fresh. The cherry tomatoes on my buffalina pizza had a sweet sugary flavor profile. And the Buffalo mozzarella was thin skinned with a soft milky interior, just the way it should be. The sauce was simple--fresh tomatoes puréed. And it's like they knew me, because the condiment they brought to thr table was pimento oil, because I love being emotional when I eat. Clearly it worked because I'm in love. The amoré kind of love. FYI There's public parking just beyond the restaurant, so the time between parking and pizza is efficient. And service was very professional and kind.

We would always go to his restaurant in downtown Chiavenna for the best pizza around and now since he moved out of downtown, we still make sure to make the extra trip. It is always well worth it.
