    Blavk truffles..what!!

Great setting. Food is ok. Fish is dry. Shrimp are small. Crawfish had no meat. Bread truffle was good. The best thing was the pea soup. Bill came with 4 items that make no sense. 4,4,6,5 euros. Extras that total $22.00. But the place is cute.

If you find yourself in the area, or with time to kill before a flight, I can't recommend that you come here enough. Il Castigo is a short drive from Malpensa, in super cute Somma Lombardo, and located in a castle! You heard me, a castle! We had a layover, and ended up renting a car and driving around the area. We turned to Yelp since it was almost dinner time, and ended up having an amazing meal and night. The atmosphere is great, service was friendly, and the pasta was some of the best we've ever had. As an added bonus, there was also a street food festival happening right outside, and Il Castigo was participating. While hanging out front, one of the servers gave us calamari samples while we soaked in the scene. Even with full bellies, we were able to taste a few other treats as we wandered the streets.

IF YOU GO ANYWHERE NEAR THE AIRPORT, GO HERE. IT IS A M A Z I N G. The owners are so nice and the food is spectacular. Now, this place is situated across a beautiful castle about a 10 minute drive from terminal 2 of MXP airport. It can be VERY hard to find a taxi back and here is where my story begins. After our wonder dinner (which I will describe afterward), my family and I realized that it was near impossible to call a taxi back. The issue was that we did not have any euros left on us either. The owner, who was SO kind, called us a cab at first before realizing it was (1) really expensive and (2) we only had credit cards. He took it upon himself to drive us back to our hotel and treated us SO kindly. I have never seen this kind of genuine hospitality and we were truly grateful for his kindness. Beyond the service, the restaurant was also amazing. From the atmosphere to the food, this restaurant had it all. Il castigo is situated right across a beautiful castle. When you dine here, you get that amazing view and it just feels so nice to be in Italy soaking it all in. There are English menus, but as the other reviews suggested, this place is very authentic!!!!! The waitress was very nice and recommended us dishes. Each of her recommendations, without fail, were delicious. I would HIGHLY recommend the octopus starter and the salmon steak. The chocolate cheese cake was also SO DELICIOUS. Definitely come here if you have the chance, you will be WOWed by the food, the service, and the view!

    Mussels. Small and tasty.

This ristorante is situated in a castle. Dining inside, you're surrounded by brick walls or you can choose outside under the wide umbrellas. The mussels were a hefty portion and my favorite was the fresh seafood pasta. The sauce was delicious and the dish was loaded with shrimp, clams and calamari. The owner drove us back to our hotel (Hilton Garden Malpensa) after dinner. Now that is Italian hospitality!

I have visited this restaurant every trip to this area of Italy! The owner will come pick you up at the hotel personally! Excellent food! Perfect service and a great atmosphere! Hope to return again!

What a great place! We went there on a hunch and it turned out to be a jem! Service was very friendly and helpful. My Italian is nonexistent but the waitress translated everything patiently with a smile. The atmosphere has a very warm and casual ambience. Now the food, it was everything I would expect in a fine Italian restaurant back in the US....except better. Better in taste, presentation, and value. The appetizers of mussels and scallops were outstanding with such lovely sauce that my mouth is watering now as I type this. The primi and second dishes were so phenomenally unique and yet balanced that I wanted more. The gelato dessert was just the right touch to finish off a fine dinner. We enjoyed our experience so much that we went back the next night. This is after an 8 hour day at the airport after a flight delay and eventually cancellation, without hesitation, we went right back. The owners recognized us and greeted us as if we were best friends and despite a packed restaurant, we were seated within 10 minutes. I will be back! !

Wow. I was sceptical Abbott the prospect of a good meal so close to the airport. It was incredible!! I started with the octopus tentacles, then moved on to the "black pasta with porcini mushrooms and prawns, finishing with the tiramisu. Three perfect choices!! Treat yourself to this restaurant, you'll be glad you did!!

This place is a must! 12 minutes from the Milan airport. The owner even drove us back to our hotel. Food and ambience is amazing.

Delicious food and great service. Had the porcini risotto 4/5 and the pasta ragu 5/5. All while looking at the castle. Highly recommend.

Limited parking. Sadly, they weren't very receptive to tourists. Maybe if you are a local you'll have better luck than we did.

It is a mom & son owned restaurant with warm and welcoming service. While the menu is not too expansive, what they do have to offer makes up for it in quality, taste, and freshness. I would come back again and again. One of the best hidden gems of Bellagio. Not pictured here, but order a salad with your pastas! We enjoyed the Mediterranean one and made our own dressing with the balsamic vinegar and olive oil table side. Amazing meal.

It's a small operation that does it right. I had the most incredible bruschetta of my life. A white buffalo style creamy cheese layered on toasted bread with fresh, red full flavored tomatoes. This is not the traditional version but order it. Their wild boar pasta was excellent along with the cacio and pepe pasta. The pasta was cooked to perfection. The service was good, kind owner, cutest location and small menu is delicious. How this is flying under the radar I'm shocked. We ate at some of the highly touted restaurants and were underwhelmed by other reviewers recommendations. I loved, loved this small, precious and special little gem.
