    French toast and egg sandwich
    Daniel K.

Long White Cloud is wonderful! I stopped in a few times for breakfast while staying at a hotel nearby. The restaurant is really lovely inside, the folks working are the nicest I talked to in London, and the food and portions were incredible! We recommend the egg sandwich and the French toast.

I made Long White Cloud my waiting room... As much as I love to hang out in a dog grooming salon (nearby Groom Dog City), I don't. Especially because my dog shakes and looks as if I have sent her to a gas chamber, when it reality I just want her to stop shedding blankets of dog hair over all of my clothes, bedding, floors and surfaces. Really, she's fine. And I need a cookie. Anyway...yes, so here I landed. At the Lovely Long White Cloud. An oasis on the otherwise bit gritty Hackney Road, LWC looks like a coffee shop, but in fact has an absolutely lovely array of food offerings, sweets and some fantastic ladies that will bring it to you. More of a cafe/bistro, as their overhanging sign would elude to...and they are most assuredly open for dinner, til 10pm. Apparently it gets quite lively in the evening. I love the name. Whimsy. Very clean loo. Double dark chocolate cookie. Broccoli Stilton soup with crunchy bread. Fresh brewed iced tea (made without annoyance!) Free wifi (ask them and they'll politely bring you the chalkboard with passcode) Comfortable rustic tables, artwork, bright and long Real meals. For next time: Monmouth coffee + Muffin deal (3.50) Vegetables! Squash. Yum. Breakfast. Let me bask forever on the Long White Cloud. I'll be returning for more than an hour next time, and for more than just a spot to kill an hour...

I stumbled across this new cafe on my way to work. It's now my fav place to get my morning coffee fix (and they even make "flat whites"). Oh... and they also make London's BEST banana bread - a must try! The staff are super-friendly and the walls display a array of ever-changing art installations. So, to me, it covers off all my "loves"!

Located a few minutes away from Hoxton railway station, Long White Cloud is a Kiwi-owned, free-range, free-trade café-cum-gallery space which serves up interesting brunch-type meals such as smoked salmon scrambled eggs and french toast with bacon and banana. It was pretty filled at 11 in the morning, but not enough to gather a queue. The interesting thing about this café is the fact that they display local artworks which are also on sale. When I was there two weeks ago, Kate Ardern's intriguing 'Into The Wild' paintings were up on the walls, most of them already marked as sold. I got myself a full English breakfast, something I realised that I'd not yet actually had in this country. It was filling - I think the word 'full' applies to the state of the diner's tummy rather than what's on the plate. The food was alright, the beans felt home-made and authentic though, definitely not Heinz. What still lingers in my mind is their peanut butter and banana smoothie which is so simple but so good. It wasn't too sweet, and both flavours were balanced beautifully, inspiring me to try blitzing my own sometime soon. They've got an evening menu as well with the likes of pies, burgers and fish cakes. I'd love to go back there some time soon to chill in their intimate setting with some French toast and bacon!

Gluten-free avocado toast! Added a fried egg. The pesto was amazing!

Delicious lunch spot. Amazing smells, cute spots with art, delectable organic heathy food. Had the avocado toast with gluten free bread + chilis + fried egg. Simple, perfect, soo damn good. Great coffee and smoothies too. And they serve good-looking breakfasts all day. Veg friendly and great spot to seat & work or meet friends. You'll love it!

Fantastic! Cute decor - comfortable and interesting furniture and books line the walls. (It's a small but there is room for strollers/luggage. The food is displayed beautifully for a cafe. Just gorgeous colorful food. They also have delicious looking hearty ready-made sandwiches to go. If I lived in the area I'd grab food here every day.

Scrambled eggs with chili on toast and with avocado with a mixed berry smoothie

I love this place! If it was on Shoreditch High Street, it would be twice as busy and expensive. It's a hidden gem on Hackney Road. It's very airy, with a relaxed casual atmosphere. Feels Australian almost. They serve Monmouth Coffee and they make it just as well as the actual Monmouth store. I always get their soy lattes, it's my favourite drink. The food is just so good here! It's dependable and high quality. I respect any place that serves a good avocado toast and oh they do, with scrambled eggs and chili. I also recommend the smoothies and orange juice as they're made fresh. The quality is so worth the price you pay here. I come back at least once a week. I love it and wish it was closer to me.

Went for breakfast here with my sister while visiting London and everything was amazing. I was really craving avocado toast and they absolutely delivered. My sister had gluten free French toast and loved it as well. Cute little place with a great selection of healthy, gluten free, and even vegan foods; would love to go back someday!

A proper coffee shop with Monmouth coffee perfect stop off on the way to Hoxton Station or after the school run to Columbia Primary school. In a fairly grotty stretch of Hackney Road this lights up the area. Really friendly staff and great organic menu. Interesting art displays which always stimulate discussions with our kids. Pretty much guaranteed to get a seat here the shop itself is long and thin. Go..

The mushrooms on toast is fantastic!

It was actually the buzz inside this place that attracted me most - dozens of dolled up city folks were patiently waiting for their lattes and cappuccinos, while soaking in the yuppy/hippy atmosphere of this space. In fact, I would go as far to say that this is a good mixture between the efficiency of Starbucks and the quirky authenticity of a coffee shops like Look Mum No Hands or St Ali. The stand-out experience for me was the bircher müsli. In fact, it was just like I love it: moist, fruity, & sweet! On the other hand, I was rather disappointed with the drip/filter coffee that they served, as it was quite bitter and off-tasting - hence only 4 stars. Overall I really like this place: there's ample seating and fantastic people-watching!

Nice and chilled vibe, not too loud, lovely friendly staff and the coffee really is something special. I'm not generally a fan of milky coffees but on a trip to oz my mrs made me try a "proper flat white" made by a friend of hers (one of the most talented and passionate baristas I've come across). It was amazing. The London versions I'd tried before had been crappy ersatz versions thereof...until I tried this place some months ago. Full bodied, creamy with just the right amount of bitterness. My regular coffee (about 3 a day on last tally) is an espresso, and i still believe that the italians can teach the worlds best hipster barista a thing or 2 about espresso (cappuccino, latté etc...) and the problem I've always had with these new-wave hipster cafs is that while they can often churn out lovely frothy milkshake-esque coffees, their espressos are disgusting, salty, up dosed/underextracted. None of that here. Nice, sharp and robust but smooth...and no saltiness.

When merchant Sir Thomas Gresham (1519-79) established it, Queen Elizabeth I (1533-1603) opened on 23 January 1571, and she granted it its 'Royal' title. The old structure had burned down twice. The current neoclassical style building was designed by Sir William Tite (1798-1873) in the 1840s. The long-term tenant was Lloyd's of London, an insurance market, for a century and a half. Now, the three-story-high, overarching glass dome provides the airy atrium with ample light, housing restaurants such as Fortnum & Mason, and high-end shops, including a Tiffany & Co. branch. I haven't been at a market though for ages and haven't have any arancini for longer - so I was happily excited to see the Arancini Brothers logo when I was killing some time looking around the shops at Liverpool Street station. I immediately went up the stairs into Broadgate and was rewarded with a tiny little shop with a limited menu - stew box, salad box, or wrap. I do think they did more but I was blinded by the arancini... I really only wanted a box of 4 arancini with their lovely garlic mayo but thought I'd counteract the starch with some salad and went for the salad box. £4.50 I believe, for 4 arancini and some basic - but tasty - salad. As I went late in the day and they were going to close soon, the girl behind the counter gave me a couple extra arancini. They were as good as ever, but as it was late they were a little on the hard side. However, they were still delicious and I didn't leave a scrap of the arancini. The salad was fine - a lettuce mix, topped with shredded carrot with chickpeas, and then some jalapenos and crispy onions. I'm definitely going to be going back soon during lunch time to get some arancini done up nice and fresh, and hopefully will be able to update this to the 5 star review I know they deserve when they're on point.
