Stopped by this Long John Silver's recently and had a really great experience. The food was fresh, hot, and cooked just right, the fish was crispy without being greasy, and the hush puppies were some of the best I've had in a while. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and worked hard to make sure customers were taken care of. It's always nice to see employees who genuinely seem to care about providing good service. Fast food really can be hit or miss, but this visit definitely exceeded my expectations. I'll be coming back the next time I'm craving seafood. Keep up the great work! read more

LJS has gone downhill from what it used to be. Ordered a two piece fish and fries and there might have been five waffle fries in the basket and one of those was a clump of inedible something. There are no little crispies that you used to get a lot of. The fish was okay but for that price the quality control could definitely be better. read more

Food tasted like LJS, which I like. Fries are now waffle fries and were good. It took 9 mins to get out food which is acceptable because I do not want prepared under heat lamp. The restaurant was clean and as soon as a table left the cashier would shortly be out to clean it. They were not super busy at 6pm with couple cars in drive thru and 3 tables inside and several door dash orders. Someone had said there was automatic tip but there was not on our bill. The atmosphere is what you expect as a fast food restaurant, loud and staff communicating back and forth from counter to kitchen. $30 total for 2 meals and 2 drinks, I would not call that double what it used to be, more like 20-25% but what isn't nowadays. I went to the 'NEW' LJS in Weatherford (rebuilt in old location) before Bible study. I ordered thru the app to pick up at 4:40, hoping to avoid the crowds that I've been seeing and hearing about. Parking lot was full and drive thru wrapped around building anyway. I specified extra crumbs and 4 tarter sauces on my order. They got the crumbs. Apparently kitchen did their part but, whoever bagged it up didn't include tarter much less a fork or napkins. Check your orders if you order in advance. We are in Weatherford visiting and decided to order lunch before going to our hotel. We ordered online for a 2:30 PM pick up. We arrived 8 minutes early. Our food was already bagged and setting there when we arrived. We took it to our hotel (2 minutes away. The food had steamed itself in the plastic bag they put it in and tied shut. Who knows how long it had been getting there. It was cold, the food was soggy and nasty. We had ordered some condiments (cocktail sauce and ranch dressing. We recieved half the cocktail sauce and none of the ranch. Instead they sent honey mustard. We just threw away $20.00. "If" you decide to order from this location. Horrible service. Sat at the drive through for 20 mins, finally drive up to the window. The lady says that I "Cut everyone in line" by pulling up to the window, and that I need to go all the way back around. I have now been sitting at the back of the line for 10 more mins, and not a single car has been called to order on the speaker. Horrible service and the employees are not even trying to take peoples orders. At least 6 cars ended up just leaving the restaurant after not moving for so long. Will never come here again even though I do really enjoy the food. No reason to come if you can't even get food. Loved it! It's been a long time since I've eaten at a LJS. I really like the flavor of their fried fish. I suppose the flavor is really the batter. I had a 2 piece combo. It came with 2 pieces of fried fish, 2 hush puppies a side (I had coleslaw) and a drink. I really enjoyed my meal. Soon after the new Long John Silver's re-opened in Weatherford TX, the batter-fried fish had a strange taste... I'm thinking this restaurant is using the same deep-fryer for both chicken and fish (which will send those allergic to chicken to the hospital ER). There is no warning posted anywhere. To prevent killing someone, the fish and chicken must be cooked in separate oil. Same for other fried items. I noticed this because the fish tasted like it was fried in chicken fat. Prices have more than doubled without rationale. I do not believe the tip/gratuity should be automatically included in the total bill so the manager doesn't have to pay the employees for what they are worth. Tips are for exceptional service, not for ignoring your order until it is health-department cold violation bacteria-laden; not for never refilling drinks unless you are TABC violation inebriated; not for serving 2-day old microwaved food scrapped from the previous customer dishes; ... numerous County Health code violations because there is ZERO initiative to improve. Including the tip in the total doesn't give anyone initiative to improve and justification to spit/pee/wipe on a complaining customer. The GM should pay their employees what they are worth, and not reply upon tips to earn money ! read more

Visited the LJS in Weatherford on 11/3/2024 at 10:15a. I was glad to see that they were open early. There was 1 car in front of me after ordering. The wait time was just short of 10 minutes. This is an improvement on the previous visit when the wait time was just over 20 minutes. The staff member on site was friendly and stated that she was the only staff member that reported to work. The batter on PART of the fish was not done and was not edible. I had another family member member state that they had to wait over 20 minutes while dining in. Not sure if I will give them another chance. Very disappointed. read more

At one time in the past this LJS was really good. Now it is very poor quality. In the past month May 2022 I went by for lunch four times and it was closed at 11:15. Drive thru and dining area closed due to no workers. When LJS is open your never know what the food will be like when you eat. when you pay those prices please have quality product for the people. read more

I really liked it! I ordered the 2 fish meal $8.79 clams $2.69. I rate my reviews 3 stars for I liked it, 4 stars I really liked it, and 5 stars I loved it. So I only wish they gave me a few crumbles like they did when I ordered a 2 piece fish and more before. For a drive thru I had no complaints. IMO a restaurant had to mess up pretty bad for me to rate it 2 stars like inedible, stale, missing food, overcharged, a hair in the food or drink, etc. so most of my ratings are 3-4 stars. Have always liked to fulfill occasional LJS craving at this location. But never again. Fish was overbattered, soggy, undercooked and super greasy. Inside restaurant was dirty and old smelling and needs update. Yuk , no wonder nobody else was there. read more

Generally, their food is quite good. The problem is the dining room is still closed, while most Weatherford restaurants have inside dining restored. I've always loved LJS, but went to this location today and paid over $13 for their fish & shrimp combo. First of all, there were only two cars ahead of me, but still had to wait nearly 15 minutes to pull up to the window. I got the food home and it tasted old; like it had been reheated from the day before. All of it! The fish, shrimp and the fries! It was gross. I split it between my three dogs. The Diet Pepsi I ordered was watered down. Threw it out. The only good thing was the coleslaw. I would have returned it, but I live more than 15 minutes away. I've had pretty poor luck at other Long John Silver in the past so I waited til I visited the location a coupe of times before reviewing. I have been so pleasantly surprised. The service is fast and very friendly. The fish was hot and well prepared. Other location's fish was dry and tough. Weatherford's location was perfect. Think I finally found my go to LJS. My side was cole slaw and it was spot on. This was my 3rd visit in the last month or so and each visit has been the same. I had the Baja tacos last time with no complaints read more
