Whenever I am in this area, I like to get a meal there since there are none left by me in KC. I've never had a bad experience here, and my lunch yesterday was no exception. The chicken and hush puppies are always fresh, crunchy and delicious. Nobody does chicken and hush puppies like this! I love that they have Pepsi products as well. Absolutely the worst food... salty and greasy... 2 orders of fish & shrimp (number 10) and they only got one order right... and they were both supposed to be the same... second meal was missing the shrimp... and it's French fries... neither of us finished even half of it and we both suffered all night feeling like we wanted to barf or beat it to the bathroom... This place is amazing, yes it may be fishy smelling and the floors towards the end of the night might be a little greasy but Umm it's a fried fish place what do you expect? The workers from what I can tell are always nice to everyone , I've noticed they get a lot of older folks in there and they are always very patient with them and take there time making sure they get there order right , I visit often ( I live in florida) and take my great grandma to the long John silvers in the south end every time and it's never a bad time, the food is always fresh and hot , also the GM I believe her name is Tammy (blonde with glasses) is one of the sweetest people I have ever met in my life she really went above and beyond this last time to make sure my grandma was comfortable! Came in to town to visit my mother she lost her husband last week. We decided to drive from Atchison to St. Joe for long Johns because he loved that place and we always ate there on my visits. We ordered our food then realized they had a special for Thursday. Which would have drastically saved money on the meal. Two for 15.99. We had paid 34 for two meals. When we asked for a correction I was told by the cashier that that wasn't possible b/c she would have to refund it and re ring it. To which I said and what's the problem with that? She went and got her manager who was the only helpful and the only person with customer service skills. While we were asking for the meal correction we heard the cook (white lady brown hair skinny (meth lookin) complaining about us changing the meal and asking for a refund for the difference. My mother said we are standing right here. At that point I was pissed. What putting the fish and fries on a plate was too hard to do? The manager said she "got on her through the headset" then apologized. At this point the cook said something else off key and walked to the back. We at that point did not want to eat there. Last thing I want is some angry person cooking my food and doing lord knows what to it. Plus her food wasn't made with love or even happiness. Nobody needs that energy. The manager apologized again. She said "I'm sorry about her but we can't get anyone else to work here." Sounds like she's chasing away customers more than she is helping your business. Idk maybe pay a living wage so you can get better employees. But this ruined our experience and our memory. I would drive to the Belt if you plan on going to this establishment. The lady at the drive through couldn't understand that we wanted a number three even after we told her no less than four times. She seemed to be getting annoyed. Finally we just gave up and went inside. The floors are slick and greasy and the place is just dirty. Every time we come here we have to check our bag and make sure we have the right order because a lot of times we don't. read more

We live a heck of a lot closer to the Long Johns location on the Belt Highway but we drive 15 minutes each way to get take out from this location. The order was almost always wrong at their Belt Hwy location, the food is fresher at this location and they've never had our order incorrect. The employees are friendlier and polite. Not rude and acting like it's an imposition to wait on you. If you like Long Johns, this is the location to eat at. read more

The food was fresh and the employees were friendly! The new Manager I think her name is Heather Red hair has really changed this place around. You get fresh food and the place is clean. There parking lot is the pits. Who ever owns it had LJS throwing asphalt to cover up the holes this summer. I seen women doing this. Who ever owns this ought to ashamed. Hard working employees! Looks like they don't really care about their hard working employees. They are hired to sell your food not to payment work. Thats my opinion. read more

Me and my wife came into Long John silver's here. First thing we notice is how dirty the floors were. We go to order,and I ask what the super sampler is... And the guy at the counters tells me a number 4.... No shit man... When he called out our order the blonde running the drive through sounded annoyed. She was having a conversation with someone while we were eating and he was laughing and cussing saying "bitch" over and over again. The fries needed cooked longer, and everything was fried in fish batter. This was a horrible dining experience. The only thing I can say was good was the hush puppies and the sweet tea as it wasn't too sweet. The music was cringy 40s music, seemed like a tactic to get you out of here.
