Since it was so late for lunch there weren't many people there, but I heard one woman say she comes there every day for lunch. I got the shrimp tacos and added avocado slices. As fearful as I was about getting Mexican food in Indiana, Casa Brava's pics, menu, and beer list pulled me in. "But it's in a Starbucks parking lot," said my sister. I peeked in, said "doce" in Spanish to the host, and two lovely ladies got busy putting tables together and quickly equipping them with warm chips and fresh salsa. Being Indiana, I still played it safe and went with asada tacos, complete with thinly-shaved onion, cilantro, and juicy limes just like back home. It just so happens to be that I love spicy food. The spicier the better, and in a typical Thai kitchen, nobody can make the food spicy enough. Ever. In fact, I started coming up with these challenges for the chefs. So when the waiter asks how spicy do I want it, I'd say something like: "tell the chef to make it as spicy as he can", or "hit me with all they got". At Jay's, when the waitress asked me how spicy do I want it, I said: "tell the chef that if he can't make me cry, I'm not paying for it." So I issued this challenge all over US and Canada, and nobody ever came close to me saying that it was spicy. Jay's Thai Food in Marion, Indiana did. I cried, I hiccuped, I sweated.
