Waiting for my dinner - A blue, upright table sign at Culver's restaurant displays the number 50 and the phrase 'Farm to Table.' It includes a message about meals being prepared with ingredients from family farms across America. The sign is placed on a beige table, with restaurant patrons and staff visible in the background, indicating a casual dining environment.

Service was awful. We waited 30 minutes for two ice creams. They said they "forgot". Ridiculous.

Terrible service. Paid over ten dollars for two scoops on three cones and got tiny cones with melted ice cream. So disappointed.

The restaurant was a lot more kitschy than I was expecting, which I loved. Our waitress had a wonderful energy. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. The menu had several unique items. I ordered a Scottish soda called IRN BRU. I love trying food and drinks from around the world. It tasted like an Orange Crush soda. Our waitress said they were known for their Cauliflower soup. It was cold outside so soup sounded perfect. I also got a pepper jack grilled cheese. The soup came in a huge bowl. The combo of the soup and grilled cheese was very filling. My friends ordered the sticky pudding. I had a bite and it was delicious. I cant believe it's taken me so long to eat here. I throughly enjoyed it and cant wait for my next road trip.

In fact it is my favorite restaurant of all time. Sunday we stopped again. I had the British chicken curry and the fatoush. It was amazing as usual. That fatoush is so refreshing! My wife had the pork chop which comes with these amazing mashed potatoes with mustard seasoning that will blow your mind. She can never finish because it's so much food, which is OK with me because I help her out some. My favorite way to eat this is to mix a little mashed potato, mustard and pork chop together into one delicious bite. We were too full for dessert, but the times that we had the dessert here were spectacular as well. Thank you to all the people that work at Paynes, please don't change anything, you are the best!

The facility is not overly attractive or inviting. You have to decide which door to use depending on which business you are frequenting. I didn't see any signs for the outdoor seating to direct you to the hostess. The parking lot is large with lots of spaces up close. We were here for food so we picked the door to Grains & Grill. The host was very friendly and kind. The inside looked welcoming. The journey to get to the outdoor seating was a bit of a maze. There seems to be plenty of comfortable indoor seating though it is kind of broken up in disjointed rooms. The outside area was nice. The over hang shielded us from the sun in our evening dinning hours. I found the tables to be a bit close together. There was another party next to our table so we had to be cautious about moving chairs to get situated. The outdoor chairs have a flexible plastic seat. The seat seemed to give more than made me comfortable. The chair seemed a bit flimsy. However, it was comfortable and didn't collapse on me. We started with the fried mushrooms. There were a LOT of small mushroom tips in this order. The batter was thicker and a bit mushy. There wasn't much seasoning flavor to the batter but it wasn't greasy to taste. The mushrooms seemed fresh. The dish was fairly good. The cocktail sauce had a decent amount of zip to it. My wife had the blackened fish tacos. Two came with the order. She loved the fresh taste. Definitely not a fishy taste. Delicious she said! I decided to try the Hoosier Hot Plate. It seemed like a house speciality...so why not! The tenderloin was outstanding! The pork was moist and juicy and moderately thin. The breading was nicely crunchy and moderately thick with a slight greasy taste. Maybe the best tenderloin I have ever had! The tenderloin was laid on top of a bed a real mashed potatoes. You could tell they were real by the lumps I bone smooth consistency. These were excellent as well. Just like mashed potatoes should be that were going to accent the meat. The tenderloin was topped with a creamed corn. I would have been disappointed if this creamed corn was the side dish. It was kind of bland and didn't have much of a corn taste. It was also rather mushy. I didn't think the corn added much taste to the tenderloin/mashed potato taste. Overall...it was an interesting dish that was worth a try.

Our drink order was taken, which was almost all water. Drinks came several minutes later. Orders were taken a few minutes after that. Food did take a bit but not unreasonable. At that time a few people needed more water. It took over 10 minutes before a pitcher of water was delivered to the table by someone other than our server. Bread was requested to the person bringing the water since we hadn't seen our server in nearly 15 minutes. Another 10 minutes and our server comes to check on us. She stated she didn't know about the lack of bread and blamed it on the other employee not telling her. At least another 10 minutes go by and nearly everyone is finished eating when the bread arrives. The food was good and the amount of food was good. All but me had eaten there before. 3 got the Hoosier plate, a couple had the tenderloin, a couple got burgers, and I got the Makers beef tips. All enjoyed their food and only a couple had any left to take home. The mashed potatoes were very good and a large portion. There were several ounces of meat and a good portion of green beans. The food was definitely a 4+. The service was a 2 at best. Along with the poor service, they added the optional 20% gratuity, since we had a party of 8. I knew this was possible since I read it on the menu. Most of the party did not. It was noted on the ticket but it was put very close to the other charges. For some, it was not noticeable. I understand the reasoning behind the charge but if the business isn't crowded and the servers aren't working excessively, I don't believe it's justified. In this instance, it may have led to poorer service since the server knew she'd be getting 20% no matter what.

A A young girl, approximately ten years old was sitting in the boot, and I assumed that was his daughter. While talking with this gentleman, he became rather aggressive. And I stood up I just said please watch your language, please. I don't like it around my wife. At that time, one of the assistant managers at Texas Roadhouse came over and said we can't have this here and ask if I wanted to be moved. I informed her that we were not moving. And that if you wanted to move the other people that would be her decision. Later the main manager came up and spoke to us about the situation and apologized for the actions of his assistant. He stated that he did not believe that his assistant had acted in Malice. He then offered to comp a meal and I told him that was not necessary but if he felt that he we should do so that would be all right. While the manager did come back and talk to us and confidential and I appreciated those actions the main part was the actions of the other patron. Behavior like this should not be tolerated within a good establishment such as the Texas Roadhouse. We did notice that while we were eating the other individuals involved in this were either asked to leave or decided to leave. I sincerely hope that this individual will recognize what he had done was unacceptable and was inappropriate in front of his children as in the wider audience of those at the restaurant. I will continue to eat at Texas Roadhouse. The one in Muncie never seems to have these problems. I surely hope this was a isolated incident and will not occur again. In closing I just want to say words matter and should be carefully considered before spoken. Treat everybody with respect as well as your own family and those around you.
