a tray of food on a table

I apologize I did not catch their names. The gentleman and a younger woman working at noon on Aug 6 were extremely helpful, nice, and caring. This was the first time I've been to an LJS in probably 10 years. The last time I went to an LJS myself and friend got food poisoning and ironically that location closed 6-8 months later. Now that I live near another location I decided to give it a try again. I got the sampler and the food was hot and fresh and I only waited a couple of minutes. The store was clean as well. This trip and location maybe have put my faith back in LJS

Went to get a lobster bites platter. It's $10 it had one piece of fish 6 tiny lobster bites and two dixie cups they call sides.

If you do their survey, and buy a large drink, you get a free fish & FF.

I was here Saturday (13/16), with a companion about 7:15 p.m. we were greeted promptly and warmly,, end of orders taken right away. We ordered a #2 and a #5 platter. I don't know if it was my mistake, but when. Two number two platters., which was on the receipt. I went to the counter, and politely told them I wanted number 5 platter, and that I would pay the difference. They very nicely refused to accept my money, gave me the 6 shrimp, and let me keep the chicken, too. Everything was golden brown, not dripping grease, and my Cole slaw was creamy deliciousness. Even my green beans were decent (not mushy). They had a Christmas tree inside the door, and Christmas lights, Garland, and stockings with employees' names decorating the dining room. Today I got a (free after doing their survey (on receipt) piece of fish and fries. It was a sizeable piece of fish and a good portion of fries. The fish was fresh, flaky, and delicious and was golden brown. Although on the french fries were okay, they would have been much better a bit crispier. The fact that they weren't greasy was great. I tried their tartar sauce, but for me it was pretty bland. Again, the crew was friendly and quick. I wanted to add a crab cake to my meal, but the cashier said that it would take 4 minutes because they're made fresh to order. I'll try those another day. Ultimately, decent fast food and a decent price, with nice employees. Gotta love that, especially this time of year!

Their lent menu is a little more trimmed down than their regular food truck menu I have seen before. I got the fish sandwich, hush puppies, and a large side of lobster mac and cheese. It was a little pricey, $31. The lobster mac and cheese was as much as the sandwich for a container the size of a to-go soup bowl which seemed like a little much. There weren't that many lobster pieces for the price, like 3 or 4 decent-sized chunks, and the mac and cheese itself was pretty bland. The fish sandwich was the best part but I still wasn't wow-ed; I was also charged $1 for one slice of american cheese. I'm fine with paying extra for things, that just seemed excessive. The hush puppies and fries were clearly just frozen, and the fries were cold. For the price, I wouldn't come back here during lent but may visit the food truck at a different time to see the bigger menu.

The slaw was good too, but overall I'm just not that big of a fan of slaw. The fish and chips came with 4 decently sized pieces of haddock and a bunch of fries. Honestly, this could be a meal for 2 people if you're not extremely hungry. It was kind of expensive, but worth it in my opinion due to the quality and the amount of food. I would go again. I'm interested in trying their lobster rolls after lent is over!

It was creamy without being heavy, tasted very authentic, and the noodles were homemade. You could tell a lot of care went into it. We also had the pizza bread, which was perfect to share and really well done. They do simple things with really good ingredients and with care from what I gathered I ordered the Dubai chocolate martini and it was really good too. There were a lot of good drink options so I'd imagine there's something for everyone My family had the onion and mushroom soup and loved it as well. Everything that came out was just consistently great. They change the menu often, which I really appreciate, and everything tastes fresh and high quality. You can tell they use good ingredients and actually care about execution. I would absolutely go back and recommend it without hesitation.

We tried to make a reservation but nothing was available. My friend insisted on putting our name on a standby list and the restaurant was extremely excited to call us with a cancellation, which they said rarely happens. I was excited to introduce my friends to this spot! Our party was not the easiest as we have a few dietary restrictions, like one GF person and one vegetarian. We wanted a few of the starters and noticed that getting the antipasto might be the most cost-efficient way. My friend asked if we might have all the meat on one plate and the veggies on another to be considerate of the vegetarian (me) and they nicely accommodated that request. The GF friend was excited to order a Dubai chocolate martini as she thought she would be getting these flavors without the dough she can't have, but it came around the rim and sprinkled in the drink and she had to send it back, which they also quickly accommodated. They also had several mocktails on the menu, really nice options made with NA spirits. I ordered one of these. I usually get the gnocchi here but on this visit they had a pasta special with corn that was like a taste of just-ended summer and I went with that. It was delicious and my friends enjoyed their meals as well. There is a dessert bar next door but service on this night was taking an extremely long time so we didn't get into any desserts. Service on this particular visit was not quite what I've been used to on previous visits overall, and one of my friends mentioned it afterward to the GM who was very accountable and responsive. He had also stopped by to personally check on us during our meal, and it's nice to get a sense that a place genuinely cares about your customer experience. I will continue to come back.

We came on a Tuesday, there weren't many people in the dining area but there were tons of pickup orders. It was quiet, the atmosphere was very chill, and our waitress (I apologize, I don't believe I remember her name) was very attentive and sweet! We ended up getting the combo boil, we got snow crab, pork sausage, crawfish, and shrimp. I had never had crawfish before so I was very curious. Turns out, I don't like them. But that's just one man's opinion! Nothing to do with the prep itself, just not my style! Everything else was phenomenal though! The crab was juicy and the Cajun spices made it really pop! I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a special meal, especially if you're a seafood fan! The price after having the combo and one drink each was about $60, or $30 per person. Wow! I had seen this place many times on social media and expected it to be super expensive but it wasn't! If I lived closer I'd be here all the time! If you're on the fence, let me push you over it. We didn't, but somehow got lucky snagging seats at the bar... which honestly turned out to be a perfect spot to eat too! The beet salad was SO good I could've easily ordered a second without hesitation. I had a self-proclaimed Reuben connoisseur with me, and he declared it the best Reuben he's ever had (second only to his own, of course ). It's not your typical version either--no standard Thousand Island overload. The corned beef was perfectly peppered and packed with flavor, and even the bread stood out. Fish tacos? Absolutely a yes. Fresh, flavorful, and just done right. We split sides--tater tots for one dish and the homemade chips for the other. Always go for the homemade chips here. WOW! Our first time here and we loved the room upstairs. Very cozy and intimate. Hardly anyone was there at 7:00 pm on a weekday. Everything went well except the food took forever to arrive. We waited 45 minutes for the food to arrive, and we couldn't understand because there was hardly anyone in the dining room. (Two other tables and one group had already eaten.) The hamburger was fine when we finally got it. The homemade pickles were the best. My husband loved the salsa. One thing I wish we were told is that there is a surcharge to use a credit card and there was a charge for the salsa. Both those things were a surprise. I love how this place has history. The grandmother owned the Ritz Hotel in Bridgeville and her 7 Up sign from the hotel graces the walls. All the old black and white Heidelberg photos are fun to see. Even though we were disappointed in the slow delivery of our meal, we may give it another try due to the server and the community feel to the place.
