We came to eat at LJS in Belen ... actually to do take out since Covid-19 is raging. The food is very expensive but we were willing to pay. The bill was $30+ The disappointing this is they didn't put hush puppies in the bag...WE WILL NEVER BE BACK! We drove here 18 miles and will not do it again. I didn't even bother to call because we will not bother with the trip. I wished that they would double check all orders since there is no Lobby dining allowed. First of all, you need to know this is a one-stop gas station/convenience store with a Long John Silver's and A&W inside. The staff here is always friendly and there are plenty of pumps for fill up. There is also a drive thru window as well as a decent amount of parking. It is a convenient location from the southern-most Belen exit off of I-25. The bathrooms are clean and that's usually why we tend to stop. The convenience store has many coffee and snack options as well but the food always smells really good with a fast moving line. It's nice to see that locals come here to eat while frequent travelers also make this a regular stop. That's high praise in a town known for local cuisine! I've driven this area back and forth for over a decade now and have stopped here more times than I can count without any issues. read more

The food is good, the service is even greater. The speaker is like trying to talk to someone from the 20s under water. Fix your speaker and I'll raise the review. Also, listen to your employees, one told me they have asked you to fix it. Literally inaudible. I have seen cars wrapped around the building for food, you can't tell me you don't have the income to fix the speaker. So fix your speaker. I'm giving this a one star and that being very generous. I work in fast food management and this place has no customer service skill. Coming through the drive thru your rushed and obviously expected to give your order in 35 seconds or less. Management needs to work on their coaching and focus on guests especially in this time. We moved to New Mexico a couple of months ago and have been looking for a good seafood place. That's hard to find in NM! Unless you want spicy chili's and seasonings with it! Hahaha! It's all good, but we wanted basic, traditional seafood. We never thought we'd get it at a fast food place, but boy did we! While it's "fast food", it took a good amount of time to get my order after I placed it. That's because they were making it fresh! The employees there were very, very nice. I love LJS but this location was a disappointment now this review is only for LJS my fish was dry and shriveled like it has been sitting all day my hush puppies were rock hard no joke I threw one on the table it bounced off and didn't break my coleslaw was good of course because they just scoop that in a bowl but I mean take some pride in what you do my chicken was good that was the only thing that was good. This place is very slow and the food is over priced. Since it is a chain it is not necessarily their fault.
