Initial phone call very friendly and professional sounding scheduled an appointment with "Howard" on the day of the appointment he was supposed to arrive at two. I called him at 2:30 left a message, then I called the office and left a message there as well, so after three he left me a message saying that he had "woken up sick". Why he didn't cancel his appointment at that time is a mystery. Two days later I get a call from someone else at the office saying that the appointment was scheduled at 2 AM not 2 PM which is pretty hilarious if you ask me. I chose not to call them back and yet I received two more messages from Howard, asking me when I was ready to get started. I was ready to start right away, but not with this company. read more

Bilco doors for my basement. Without going into all the details, we contracted this company with the understanding that the doors would not be ordered until we were ready for them. After finding out, there was An electric lines where the doors would go as well as a well. There was no other place to put the . We gave them a $5000 deposit. After we called and explained all this to them they told us it was too bad, they already ordered the doors. I have them on tax saying that they did not order the doors. They thought I wanted to cancel because it was becoming an expensive project. I was then offered by Ron Mayer that I could look at another door. He had that was actually nicer and cheaper. I asked him why I was never offered this door to begin with. He told me because I more expensive there would be no reason to offer this to me. We were in litigation for two years with them. We settled because we were tired of the games they were playing. We only got half of our deposit back. I just wanted to end this. They are deceptive liars and I would never recommend this company. Please be aware they will delete all bad reviews or put them on the bottom of the list but you hopefully we'll see this before you make your decision! read more

Was having issues with drainage at my current egress window and the window well was compromised after the bad rain storm in August. Ron was very helpful and knowledgeable in recommending the appropriate replacement and improved well and drainage system. My project was scheduled quickly. Carlos and his crew were extremely courteous and explained every step of the way. They completed the job within a few hours, and the end project was top notch. I replaced the plastic well with a deeper corrugated steel well with sump pump and trench to pump any water accumulation away from the house. When finally got all permits, one day before installation someone came to do a final inspection and mark where the window will be installed- in and out. We had several things done. The egress window came out PERFECT!! The guys were AWESOME and neat and prompt. Really enjoyed meeting them! They also did a rip out and install of our existing basement entrance. They widened the door and also put down a concrete patio and small retaining wall. Came out just beautiful! Unfortunately it wasn't pitched correctly and the water pooled up against the house. The little wall immediately started to crack. Ryan showed up the next day with his crew and assured us it would be fixed. They had to rip out everything and do it again. Came out nice and we haven't had an issue. I went with Egress Pros thinking it was a more reputable company and paid more than I would've with someone else. Mid installation, I noticed the employees cut through an electrical line and tucked it into the wall and hid a spliced line. Fire hazard. The company backed their guys claiming they thought it was a dead line until I showed them their error. After I paid to fix the electric out of my own pocket, they then completed the job. Soon after the ground started settling by the window and my pavers began collapsing. Again it was an argument with them and denial on their part. If this company does work for you, watch them carefully. read more

Window came out great and the basement was clean during and after. However, they cut down an 8 year old, well established shrub exactly where they were about to dig a 4x6 ft. hole!!! AND they CUT my vinyl fence section that was supposed to added to the oppopsite side...now useless! No discussion. If they wanted my builder, who hired them and set up the work, to remove these they should have talked to me before taking out a saw! I'm guessing from the smell of skunk in my front yard may be part of the problem. Could not believe it!! read more

I would not recommend this company. They are unprofessional and shady. I had a young man named Alex to come to my home to give me an estimate. He seemed nice enough until I told him I was going to have another contractor come to give me an estimate. He left right after that and turned back to say "I hope you get a lower price", and he wasn't so friendly when he said it. After reading the other reviews I am sure he was miffed that their shady pricing would be uncovered. I have called them and sent an email to Glen to no avail. I just wanted to see what their estimate for the job was. They essentially 'ghosted' me. I would not use them, they are shady and unprofessional! read more

Well, let's say it was a scary undertaking when we decided to put an egress window in our basement. Looking at the process, they are literally cutting into your foundation and digging out a 6 foot or so hole and then breaking your wall apart and putting a window in there. When Ron came to give me an estimate I immediately felt more comfortable as he explained things in a way that made a lot of sense, and was receptive to all my questions and reduced my anxieties about at all. When the day came Ron, Carlos and his crew arrived on time and began work. Ron and Carlos went over with me, and each other, what was to be done and really mapped out how this would all fit into the wall even though I have a couch close by. Then Carlos became the recipient of all my anxieties and questions about this seemingly difficult project. Well, throughout the process I continued to bother Carlos with questions and was amazed how he and his team worked. When they were done besides being incredibly pleased with how everything looked, I was equally impressed with how they cleaned up and left my property as if they were never there. Carlos spent as much time with us as we needed to learn how to use the egress window. It was a great experience. Reached out to Long Island Egress Pros a few months ago as they were listed as a recommended installer for Long Island on the ClamDoor compny website. They came to give an estimate and while the prices they provided on replacing some basement windows were good (~$300/windows) the pricing they were saying on the new ClamDoor to be installed were pure ripoff. They straight up lied to me and told me the ClamDoor company had put price increases through which was easily debunked when I called ClamDoor themselves to question this. Hopefully ClamDoor pulls them off the website as the prices that LIEP charged were insane. The ClamDoor itself costs around $1,650 and ClamDoor told me that typically installed doors run around $2,500-$2,750 (shipping to LI from RI where they are made is an extra $125) and LIEP wanted me to pay almost $4K based on these made up price increases from the company and charging just ridiculous labor rates which they changed after I was almost ready to book. At first they told me their day of labor for two guys costs $1,000 - albeit high we considered still paying that to get this done UNTIL the guy told me "oh no, that is our cost. I still need to make a profit" - why would you tell me your cost and not my cost? Stay away from this company and look for more reputable firm to do your work. Between the crazy pricing, lies about vendors increasing pricing and me having to chase after the guy for responses they strike me as the type of company a news channel would bust in an undercover report. Definitely don't want to hire them. read more

Beware of what they promise you verbally and what they write on their contract. They told me they were gonna take away the dirt they dug out for my window but the contract said otherwise . I'm a bit late in doing this review but I wanted to ensure I put it in. I hired egress pros to install an egress window in my basement late last year. The crew came in and did a meticulous job installing the window. It looks great!!! When they left you'd never have known they were there. My ONLY negative which is why they get 4 stars instead of 5 is that the young kid they had on the crew was somewhat carelessly throwing the broken up cement blocks cut from the foundation wall into the area around the outside of the window well and caused a few dents and dings in the metal that can be still seen. Egress pros said someone would be around to try to paint it to blend it and did apologize for it but these windows are expensive, the dents are a little upsetting to see. Ultimately though, the window looks great, tons of extra natural light in my basement, lower humidity. Would highly recommend them, just hope they fix the issue with their one careless worker. read more
